Recently, at the gym, God began to speak to me about what many of His people are experiencing in this current season.
In fact, the revelation became so clear that I climbed off the elliptical machine and went back out to my car. I pressed 'record' on my phone and dictated the following word.

"'Just as I watched over them to uproot and tear down...so I will watch over them to build and to plant,' declares the Lord." (Jeremiah 31:28)
I saw a picture of a plant; it was green, leafy, and healthy. As I watched, a hand pulled it out of its pot. The dirt and soil clinging to its roots were shaken off quite violently. This continued for some time until the roots were clean, then it was set to one side.
It seemed as if the plant had no source of nourishment and that it might wither. However, after a while, it was picked up again and replanted into a much larger pot. Immediately, it began to flourish. It became exponentially larger; the leaves and branches spread wider. It grew taller, providing shade and protection for the smaller plants around it.
The Lord says: "I will replant many of you in the coming days."
Uprooted
You have sensed this for some time. For many of you in this past and current season, it's felt as if you are being uprooted from some places that have, for a long time, been sources of life and nourishment. However, those places that once brought comfort are starting to bring containment. The people who once replenished you are now restricting you. You have gone as far as you can go in this environment; there is no more room for you to grow there. In fact, it has been limiting your ability to flourish and to nourish others. (Photo via Unsplash)
This has been happening particularly in the areas of alignments, spiritual 'streams,' ministry relationships—even denominational allegiances. They started out good and healthy; they were what you needed. However, as you have grown, they have remained the same. You feel the tension of remaining there, but loyalty to those above you and the uncertainty of where else you would go have kept you there.
The Lord has been uprooting you. He has been shaking the debris and remnants of these past associations off of you. You have gone through a season of disconnection, even isolation, feeling as if you don't fit—even as if you have been set to one side. You're not sure where you belong.
It's Time for a Bigger Pot
At times, without fresh food, it has felt like your leaves are withering and your best days are behind you. However, the Lord is going to replant you into a new environment; it is a bigger 'pot.' The soil is suited to your spiritual DNA. You will take root quickly and your growth will be accelerated. Where you have felt dry, weary, spiritually hungry, empty, and isolated, you will now be nourished, filled, connected, replenished, and refreshed.
The breaking away from that previous alignment will release you into a much wider space and more impactful assignment. It will be difficult, but a point is coming where you will have to choose to make a complete disconnection from the past associations, allegiances, alignments and alliances. It will involve some direct and difficult conversations, and it may, in some cases, mean a relocation. But as you seek Him, the Lord will make it very clear.
You can no longer stay in that old pot. Its limiting structure will contain, stifle, and ultimately cause you to wither and shrivel. This is not just about your own future; it will also directly influence many others that God wants to connect with you. You will be a source of refreshment and covering for them. (Photo via Pixabay)
You have been uprooted. It is now time to be replanted.
"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens...a time to plant and a time to uproot..." (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2)
"That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers." (Psalm 1:3)
"The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God." (Psalm 92:12-13)
"...They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor." (Isaiah 61:3)
"They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."(Jeremiah 17:8)
