People need encouragement this day...and that's what Kim's word will do for you, such as:

No wonder the enemy is working overtime to bring fear upon the land(s).

Everywhere we look these days, whether it is the news media or social media, fear is attempting to be shoved down our throats. DAILY it is splashed everywhere we look...warnings about the virus numbers, warnings about the vaccines, or not being vaccinated...I can't even remember the last time I saw something good come across the news.
Since the last onslaught of fear-based reports from this virus, I began to pray against fear. It seems to me that many sources want us to be so afraid that we will buy anything they say without question, and that we will do whatever we are told without researching it for ourselves.
I wish we had a government that we could trust to tell us the absolute truth; unfortunately, we do not. It would be nice if we could trust the news to report only the truth – but I don't believe that is happening either...hence, my consistent prayers for our partners against the fear that is being peddled all around us.
A Dream of Grasshoppers
As I prayed this week concerning how to help others combat fear, God gave me a dream.
In my dream, grasshoppers had been brought into the house through an outside source. At first there were only a couple of grasshoppers jumping around. Because there were only a couple, the people were leaving them alone, thinking they would go back out the same way they had come in. They didn't. (Photo via Pixnio)
The next morning, they had multiplied tremendously. There were dozens and dozens of grasshoppers – all different sizes. These grasshoppers were getting in homes everywhere, one or two at a time. When they were not immediately dealt with, they would multiply until they literally took over a house. People couldn't even live peacefully in their own homes due to the massive amount of grasshoppers.
I woke up.
Fear Is Rampant – But God!
I began to search for the symbolic meaning of grasshoppers. Here is what I found (this confirmed everything I was sensing about this dream):
In the Bible, grasshoppers were often used to symbolize an insignificant crowd of people who lived in fear of those bigger and mightier than them. Therefore, it symbolizes inferiority, timidity and fear. We see this truth play out in Numbers 13:33 which says, "...and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight."
God had told Moses to send out 12 spies to check out the land He had promised to give them. The 12 spies went out and sure enough, the land was just as God said, flowing with milk and honey with wonderful fruit; fruit so big that they had to carry one cluster of grapes between two men. However, if you remember, 10 of the 12 spies only saw the problems – they saw the giants, the walled cities and they saw how little they appeared in their own eyes. What they were seeing was a reflection of the faith that was on the inside of them. This alone kept them from every promise that God had delivered them out of bondage for; instead they wandered around the wilderness for 40 years.
Fear of the giants in the land kept them out of their promise. Stop a moment and think about that. They feared those they thought was more powerful than them, and even worse, more powerful than their God.
I see many similarities today. I believe we are a season where our Promised Land is once again before us...the promise of God healing our nation, just as His Word says. Many who are not walking with God are overwhelming the people with fear on every level. Many in governmental offices and leaders across our nation are keeping the people in fear on a daily basis.
The enemy does not want us to take possession of that promise and he is doing everything in his power to stop it. Fear is his weapon of choice. If he can get us into fear, we will be paralyzed and will not continue to move forward. For this reason, we MUST resist fear with everything inside of us. We cannot allow fear to come into our hearts and into our homes. If we do, even a little bit, just like the grasshoppers in my dream, fear will quickly multiply until it consumes us and our household. (Photo via Unsplash)
God has commanded us 365 times in the Bible, "DO NOT FEAR...FEAR NOT...DON'T BE AFRAID." God never wanted us to be timid or fearful; He has given us a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. He has given us peace.
You must know, if you are battling fear today (and we all have), it is not from God. God does not give us a spirit of fear. He never has and He never will. Peace comes from our God. Fear comes straight from the pit of Hell.
Today, if fear is trying to come upon you, resist it and stand steadfast in the faith. God is with us. He will never leave us nor forsake us, and He will fight for us. We can trust Him. Remember, there is no giant or person in this land that is more powerful than our God – never forget that.
Appoint My Days
My faith pleases God for I have the faith of God. My faith is awake, alive, activated, working, vibrant, strong, stirred up, growing exceedingly and is producing victorious results. I surrender to faith and release my faith for the overflow in every area of my life (Heb. 10:38, 2 Cor. 5:7, Heb. 11:6, Rom. 12:1-3).
