Recently, I heard the voice of the Lord speak to me and say, "2022 is a do-over year." I made a note on my phone of what I had just heard and took time in prayer to seek Him for further revelation on what He was communicating to me.
The Lord said to me, "The enemy is trying to counterfeit and corrupt My plans for 2022. Satan is not a creator. He can only pervert what I have created. He could not achieve his evil plans in 2020 and 2021 because My Church began to pray. There has been a reset in the Church; a sifting between the 'play Church' and the warrior Bride. Some have grown complacent and lethargic, but in 2020 an alarm came sounding; multitudes roused from slumber. Sadly, others descended deeper into their indifference and compromised lifestyle."
Then the Lord showed me a vision of a hand crossing off items from what appeared to be a list. One by one, the hand was checking things off as if they had been accomplished. Suddenly, I saw flashing lights, and the hand stopped crossing items off the list. The Lord spoke to me and said, "This was Hell's blueprint for 2020. One by one, he achieved plots, plans, and schemes, but the bright lights that you saw flashing were My people beginning to pray. Their prayers thwarted many of satan's evil attacks. He is trying to DO OVER what was left undone in 2020 and accomplish his unfinished goal. It will not succeed!" (Photo via Pixabay)
"Attempt" vs. "Opportunity"
Immediately, I looked up the definition of the noun "do-over." Merriam-Webster's dictionary defines it as "a new attempt or opportunity to do something after a previous attempt has been unsuccessful or unsatisfactory." After I read that definition, I understood what God was saying to me: "It's a do-over year. I have a plan, and the enemy is plotting his."
God showed me (through the definition of "do-over") that the word "attempt" was the plan that the enemy desires to bring about in the world this year. The word "attempt" is defined as "tempt" and "to try to subdue or take by force." God's plan, though, is revealed in the word "opportunity," which is defined as "a favorable juncture of circumstances" and "a good chance for advancement or progress."
Furthermore, the Lord said to me, "My plan for the do-over is an opportunity for revival and a great harvest of souls. I am bringing restoration of things that were stripped and stolen from My people."
We have an opportunity to partner with the Word of the Lord or with the report of the enemy. "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God" (Romans 10:17, KJV). We must decide in which report we will place our faith.
Double Will Be Your Portion!
I hear the Lord say, "Refuse any report or words that come against what I have promised you. Hold fast to My Word. War with your prophecies. Guard what you hear and what you speak. Faith comes by hearing the Word; doubt comes by hearing words contrary to My Word. You will see My glory displayed and the power of My might. Restoration and reward will be your song. Double will be your portion!"
Yes, God is restoring everything that has been stripped from you by the enemy. In addition, He is releasing an even greater measure of favor upon your life.
Consider Joseph, who received prophetic dreams from God that declared the future of Israel and his sons, causing his brothers to become jealous and hate him because he was favored by their father Jacob. Soon the brothers conspired to kill him. They threw him into a pit. They stripped him of the coat of many colors given to him by his father, symbolizing his father's favor. The brothers sold Joseph into slavery in the land of Egypt. There, Joseph was promoted to chief servant in Potiphar's house, because the Lord was with him (and He is with you)! God caused him to have favor. Potiphar's wife tried to entice him to commit adultery with her. When Joseph rebuffed her advances, she took hold of his garment and stripped it from him as he fled. She used his garment to lie and accuse him of raping her.
Joseph was placed in the prison's dungeon where he gained favor with the keeper of the prison. In prison, he exercised his gift to interpret dreams, causing him to be remembered when Pharaoh had a dream that no one could interpret. After Joseph accurately interpreted Pharaoh's dream, he was promoted to second-in-command over all the land of Egypt. Pharaoh put his signet ring upon Joseph's hand and robed him in vestures of fine linen (Genesis 41:42). (Take note of this! God placed a mantle of royalty upon Joseph. Everything that he had lost prior was not only restored but also upgraded.)
Joseph had two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim (Genesis 41:51-52). Manasseh means "forgetting," as Joseph said, "...God has made me forget all my toil and all my father's house." Ephraim means "doubly fruitful." Joseph's story prophesies to you!
God will cause you to forget all the pain you have been through. He will reward you with double fruitfulness in the very place where you were held in bondage.
