Amber is one of those rare Believers who is not looking to make a name for herself but is truly interested in advancing the Kingdom while helping others and exalting Christ.

In the second week of September, the Church body received the news that Dr. David Yonggi Cho passed into glory. Reflecting on this, and the many other generals of the faith who have stepped out of the temporal and into the eternal in recent years, I felt sad for the void left by these great leaders. In the stillness of that musing I heard the Lord speak to my heart: "There is a changing of the guard."
Stand Your Ground
These generals in the faith who went before us were masters at standing their ground, refusing to give up the ground they had gained. New generals who are being called to stand in the gap must be willing to stand their ground, refusing to give up the ground that has been fought for, "…having done all, to stand firm" (Ephesians 6:13, ESV).
Stand is an active verb, not passive. After having battled in the spirit, contended for righteousness and justice, taken lies captive and torn down strongholds; after having done all that – we must stand.
Standing is no less important than any other aspect of our warfare. Standing is how we mark territory in the spirit as being ours, occupying it completely so that the enemy cannot step foot on that land the Lord entrusted to us. In the parable in Luke 9, the Master tells His servants: "...Occupy till I come" (Luke 19:13, KJV).
Our posture ought to be: "No enemy will touch this land I've been entrusted with. The Spirit of the Lord will reign across every area of it. We will cultivate the holiness and purity of Heaven so that God's Spirit is welcome to invade our space; so that He feels at home resting on every piece of our land." (Photo via Pixabay)
Begin at Home - The Family Army
I felt such a strong impression that the Lord wants us to know this occupying begins at home. In this past season, families and marriages have been under attack with an intensity that has never been seen before. This attack has been purposeful and strategic because families are being commissioned in this hour. Our adversary knows the authority we carry when we gather, united as a family, in God's name.
"God places the lonely in families; He sets the prisoners free and gives them joy..." (Psalm 68:6, NLT)
I heard the Lord say that He is creating family. He is restoring the years the locusts have stolen. And He is repaying a double portion to those the enemy stole from in regard to family. He is building His end time army. What the enemy never saw coming is that this army is a family.
The enemy thought he could weaken us by targeting families, but what he didn't know was that God used the enemy's tactics to turn these families into soldiers. Now, these soldiers have been placed in God's family. Many of these soldiers have been quickly promoted to generals in the Lord's army because the hardships they endured have prepared them for such a time as this. This is their hour to take back the Kingdom.
What the enemy meant for evil, the Lord has turned to good. Every strategy of the enemy is reversed onto his own head. Every captive daughter of Zion is made free, and the gates of Hell will not prevail against this Kingdom that is advancing.
