Dear Elijah List readers, There are continued calls to pray for November 11. God gives prophets these calls for one purpose only... To pray (WITHOUT FEAR)--so that what the enemy plans--will NOT HAPPEN! Below is an article "articulating" some very important reasons November 11 is so significant. Steve Shultz THE ELIJAH LIST www.elijahlist.com ======================================================= THE COMMITMENT OF OUR FATHERS - Commentary and Call to Pray On and For November 11 ======================================================= By Jon Hamill, Lamplighter Ministries Jon's email at "Friend of the Bride": jmhamill@fotb.com Intercessory Missionary, International House of Prayer ======================================= AMERICA'S COVENANT WITH DEATH ANNULLED ======================================= In the past few weeks, the Holy Spirit has been speaking to me that America’s covenant with death IS ANNULLED. God is arising in a new way to establish His covenant, and is even creating a governmental shift to establish His dream for our land. The prophet Isaiah described a time when God would no longer remain silent concerning His covenant with His people. Instead, in the places of death and desolation, He will move to establish His covenant with the land. “For Zion’s sake, I will not hold my peace,” the Lord declares in Isaiah 62, “until her righteousness shines forth like brightness, and her salvation like a burning lamp.” ================================================== SIMILAR TO ISRAEL, OUR LAND WAS COVENANTED TO GOD ================================================== Though America cannot claim the place in God’s heart granted only to Israel, we are similar to Israel in that our land was covenanted to God at its inception. In the days and weeks following the ‘911 Tragedy,’ many have received revelation from the Lord regarding November 11. Some have been alerted by the Lord to pray for November 11 by glancing at digital clocks at precisely 11:11. Prophetic voices such as Chuck Pierce, who has been granted an undeniable grace from God to understand God’s timing, have had words regarding a season of intense watching set to end the day following 11/11. I was leading intercession during a conference last weekend in Vermont when a similar word came forth. Diane Valerien, who pastors a church in Rhode Island with her husband Paul, shared a recent dream. In this prophetic experience, the Lord showed her headlines from a newspaper on November 11 and said, “This is the hour in which My Son will be glorified.” ============================================================== ON NOVEMBER 11, PILGRIMS LANDED AND COMMITTED THIS LAND TO GOD ============================================================== The report of these words has brought me to tears. On November 11, 1620, my forefather Richard Warren was one of the Pilgrims who landed in the harbor of Provincetown, MA and committed the land and its government to God’s glory and the advancement of the Christian faith. This is the language of the Mayflower Compact, upon which they founded their community and its principles. (Note: I shared on God’s covenant with America at the New England Elijah List Conference earlier this year; I believe the tapes are still available). [ http://theelijahlist.safeshopper.com/180/cat180.htm?155 ] I believe our Pilgrim forefathers asked the Lord for His hand in marriage to our land—and He said yes. We as a nation have shifted into a season where God is moving dramatically to establish the covenant He swore to our mothers and fathers. As President Bush declared at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance, “The commitment of our fathers is now the calling of our time.” ==================================================================== PROVINCETOWN, MASSACHUSETTS, NOVEMBER 11, AND THE MAYFLOWER COMPACT ==================================================================== It is interesting that Provincetown, where the Pilgrims first landed on November 11 and signed the Mayflower Compact, is now a homosexual community. At present, there are no evangelical churches in Provincetown, and the spiritual climate is heavily influenced by occult activity. For years, Provincetown was flooded with AIDS victims who chose to live out their remaining days on this outermost point of Cape Cod. Why is Provincetown, a historic place of covenant between God and our land, as it is? The enemy continually attempts to defile the holy roots God has planted. In this historic place of covenant, the oldest social institution still in existence is the local Masonic lodge. Idolatry always brings desolation. As God seeks to re-establish His covenant with the land, this desolation is overthrown. “You will no longer be termed forsaken, nor shall your land any more be termed desolate, but you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah, for the Lord delights in you and your land shall be married” (Isaiah 62:4). =========================================================== CALLING THEM OUT OF THE GRAVE AND INTO COVENANT WITH JESUS =========================================================== One of the things I hear the Spirit saying is that it is now time to call homosexuals out of the grave. Many thought that coming out of the closet would bring freedom—but now is a time of unprecedented favor for these ones so dear to God’s heart to find true freedom-- by coming out of the grave and into covenant with Jesus Christ. Much of the establishment of God’s covenant with our land is personified in Isaiah 22, which portrays the deposition of the government of Shebna, and the establishment of the government of Eliakim. Isaiah 22 was a major theme of the recent ‘Call New England,’ facilitated by Lou Engle on September 22—exactly 11 days after the twin towers fell. The times following 9/11 were much like the times depicted in Isaiah 22. God was watching the response of his leaders to a time of national tragedy. “In that day the Lord God of hosts called you to weeping, to wailing, to shaving the head and to wearing sackcloth,” declares Isaiah. “Instead there is gaiety and gladness, killing of cattle and slaughtering of sheep, eating of meat and drinking of wine…” =============== BOSTON WEEPING =============== It’s interesting to note that on September 22, approximately 40,000 gathered in Boston to weep, mourn and cry for God’s mercy in this covenant land. Boston had been singled out by John Ashcroft as a potential target of terrorist threats, but Christians across the nation still gathered. Just hours after the Call came to a close, the Lord released Graham Cooke to prophesy in Kansas City of an unprecedented year of God’s favor for America. Lets take a brief prophetic overview of the government of Shebna and the government of Eliakim. The government of Shebna is typified by using the resources of the multitudes—the sheep—to retain personal comfort in a day of shaking, instead of relying on God’s hand for deliverance. Many leaders have taken to draining the life out of God’s sheep for their personal gain. The government of Shebna is also typified by concern for personal legacy—or self-promotion—in the day of adversity. The Lord’s anger was aroused against Shebna when he built a tomb, a monument for himself, as his nation faced a national calamity. ===================================================== INITIATION RITES FROM THE ANCIENT MYSTERIES OF EGYPT ===================================================== Tombs also represent covenants with death. One fraternal order, which has traditionally had much influence in American churches, takes its initiation rites from the Ancient Mysteries of Egypt. Initiates are lowered into a symbolic coffin and raised into this fraternal order, demarcating alliance with Osiris, the Egyptian god of the dead. Historically and even presently, many of our nation’s gatekeepers have been initiated into this fraternal order. God loves these dear ones—but He hates the idolatry that binds them. We cannot defeat that which we embrace. Therefore the Lord says to America, Your covenant with death is annulled (Isaiah 28:15-18). “Because you have said, ‘We have made a covenant with death, therefore the overwhelming scourge will not reach us when it passes by… Therefore, says the Lord, I lay in Zion a stone, a tested stone, a costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. Your covenant with death will be canceled.” The building established on this foundation is the government of Eliakim. Eliakim in Hebrew literally means ‘the God of arising’ or ‘the God of resurrection.’ Jesus is the God of resurrection—the God of awakening. =================================================== IN A SINGLE HOUR, THE GOSPEL PREACHED TO THE WORLD =================================================== Amidst the tragedy of September 11, America awakened. Through televised coverage of the Day of Prayer and Remembrance, in a single hour the Gospel was literally preached to the world by Billy Graham. And to the entire world, our president announced that the commitment of our fathers is the calling of our time. Isaiah declares that the ‘key of the house of David’ will be set on Eliakim’s shoulders. This is a manifestation of Amos 9:11, where God declares ‘in that day I will rebuild the fallen tabernacle of David…’ I believe it is no coincidence that our day of awakening was 9/11. As prophet Jim Goll shared earlier on the Elijah List ---- [ http://www.elijahlist.com/words/display_word_pf.html?ID=963 ], the shaking of 911 was “A prophetic trumpet call being blown once again …It is time to restore our breaches in our walls and stand in the gap. It is time for the 24 Hour House of Prayer and Worship as in David's time to be restored.” =================================================== GOVERNMENT OF GOD ARISING FROM THE HOUSE OF PRAYER =================================================== In this year, we will see the government of God arising from the house of prayer. And we will see new commitments from God’s governmental leaders to build corporate houses of prayer. From this, the government of Eliakim will become ‘a throne of glory to His Father’s house’ (Isaiah 22:23). As the Lord showed Pastor Diane Valerien, “This is the hour in which My Son will be glorified.” On November 11, our land was covenanted to our Lord Jesus Christ by the Pilgrims. Across this land, God is now raising up the Eliakim government to establish intimacy in the places of covenant, so that conception and harvest can occur. =============================== THE RELEASE OF WEALTH THIS YEAR =============================== Eliakim received his heritage from Hilkiah. Significantly, Hilkiah means “the God who allots” or “the God of inheritance.” This war over our covenant land is a war over the allotment and the inheritance of our forefathers. We will see the release of wealth in unprecedented measure this year to establish God’s covenant which He swore to our fathers (Deut. 8:18). =============================================== VETERANS DAY - ARMED FORCES DAY IS ALSO NOVEMBER 11 =============================================== It is important also to note that Armed Forces Day falls on November 11 of this year. Diane wrote to me that “We have decided to call Sunday, November 11th as a special day in our church to fast and pray for President Bush, the leaders, and especially the Armed Forces. I feel the Lord saying Armed Forces are the spiritual troops of intercessors and gatekeepers that have been equipped for the battle to retake our land of America. The battle lines have been drawn and the enemy who has stolen our land will be pushed back and pushed out as we cry out in prayer on this day.” It is my prayer that other churches across the land will heed this call to prayer. Lets take time to remember our heritage, the cornerstone upon which our nation was founded, and honor the ‘armed forces’ in the natural and spiritual who are contending for God’s continued blessing in our land. The commitment of our fathers is now the calling of our time.
