PRAYER BULLETIN FOR JERUSALEM
Steven Zarit, Tom Smith with Paul Cain
Oct 2, 2001
This press release is from Steven Zarit and Tom Smith with Paul Cain and Grace News Network in Jerusalem. Please forward to your friends and intercessors. Grace News Network 636 National Press Building Washington, DC 20045 For Further Information: www.hatufim.com pnewby@gracenews.com PRAYER BULLETIN RELEASED OCTOBER 2, 2001 PAUL CAIN CALLS FOR UNITED PRAYER FOR RELEASE OF ISRAELI SOLDIERS (Jerusalem, Israel) At a meeting sponsored by Grace News Network on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, Paul Cain issued an international call for prayer for the release of the three Israeli soldiers held captive in Lebanon by the Hezbollah: Adi Avitan, Benny Avraham, and Omar Souad. On October 7, 2000, the three were serving as combat engineers on a routine patrol on the Israel-Lebanon border when they were captured by abductors reportedly disguised in U.N. uniforms. Cain ministered in prayer to Zipora and Yakov Avitan, parents of Adi Avitan and asked Grace News to issue a call for worldwide prayer that all the captive soldiers would be released in the next thirty(30)days. Paul Cain is a widely recognized spiritual leader from the United States, and serves as President of Shiloh World Peace Congress with headquarters in Kansas City. He has ministered to many national leaders, not only in the United States, but also in many nations throughout the Middle East. “God has given me a great love for the people of this region, and I am convinced that the most effective response to terrorism is prayer directed in the spirit of love," said Cain. “Pray for the Spirit of the Lord to fall on the Hezbollah captors and their leaders, and they will be led to release these men unharmed. Let the God of Abraham be glorified,” Cain concluded. The Avitan family has been in continuous contact with the United Nations, the International Red Cross, and leaders in many nations around the world. So far their efforts have met with no success, prompting Cain and other members of the Grace News delegation to discern that the call to prayer was the best, and, perhaps, the only hope for the return of the men “We are asking all the intercessor networks around the world to join Paul Cain and Grace News Network in proclamation and prayer that the God we serve will deliver them back to their families within thirty (30) days,” said Cheryl Reagan, Grace News Network President. “We need to believe the best in the Lebanese government will abide by the principles of the Geneva Convention, like all civilized nations, and return these men to their homes. If the Body of Christ in the Earth will fast, pray, and declare their return in one voice, we believe it will be done,” concluded Reagan. Grace News Network is Washington-based news organization formed to speak and pray on the news from a Christian perspective.
