Having been born and raised near Somerset, PA, where Flight 93 crashed on Tuesday, I took a particular interest in this event. My parent's home is located about 5 miles from the crash site. Though the major news networks have labeled this crash site near Pittsburgh, this is really not the case. By land, Somerset is about one and a half hours southeast of Pittsburgh.

The crash site was near a small town named Shanksville on a back road called Lambertsville road. I asked the Lord, "Why would this plane come down here?

Of all the places, why here?"

He dissected the names for me.

SHANKsville and LAMBerstville.

Immediately, I thought, "Hmmmm, coincidence?"

It is never a coincidence with God.
====================== THE SHANK OF THE LAMB ======================
The SHANK of the LAMB was eaten during the Passover meal. The shank is where the most meat is at on the animal. The Lord showed me how He once again allowed the full destruction to Pass Over the people of the United States. With Flight 93 pointing its nose towards Washington, who knows what building it could have destroyed ... the White House, the Capitol, symbols of our freedom and democracy. I cannot imagine the devastating blow to this nation if the White House would have been destroyed. It's not the building but what it stands for .. all the history that is accumulated in this one building. It is the symbol of the very fabric of our nation. The Lord would not allow the very heart and fabric of the nation to be destroyed.

I truly believe there is a message in the crash of Flight 93. That plane could have crashed anywhere but it is the Lord's doing to show us His intervention by allowing it to crash in a barren place in SHANKsville on LAMBerstville Road. The Lamb took the fullness of the destruction and appropriated to us the deliverance. The Lord is showing us that His mercy through His Son has stopped the full intent of the judgment and it has passed over us.

His faithfulness is everlasting.
