Have You Not Heard?
It is Time to Apply the Knowledge of God's Greatness in Your Life
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary; there is no searching of His understanding. He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength (causing it to multiply and making it to abound).?Isaiah 40:28-29, AMP
Isaiah 40 is the greatest description of God ever written! Having spent much of the fortieth chapter of Isaiah describing to His people His power, His might, His greatness, and His glory, God then shows, through the prophet Isaiah, particularly in the above two verses and the following two verses of the chapter?how drawing upon this knowledge and pulling it into our lives can transform our lives.
Why? Because it is possible to believe in God's infinite power and might and at the same time feel that He is unable to meet our personal needs. Here we learn that He has engaged all of His infinite power in strengthening, comforting, and saving us. Understanding this, knowing His greatness, truly hearing what we already know, should persuade us that He neglects nothing. He sees everything?hidden, seen, and unseen.
As the Day, So Shall the Strength Be
For several months now, the Lord has had me declaring that He is bringing a fresh new depth of His strength to His Church. He will strengthen His Church. The Church is His plan, not man's plans. The plans and intents of man's plans come to nothing but the counsel of the Lord stands forever; the thoughts of His heart through all generations!
But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations.?Psalm 33:11, NIV
Our plans only lead us to exhaustion. God's plan overflows with transformation and strength, infinite power and unsearchable wisdom.
...But those who wait for the Lord (who expect, look for, and hope in HIM) shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up (close to GOD) as eagles (mount up to the sun); they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.?Isaiah 40:30-31, AMP
He is saying to His Church, "Have you not known? Have you not heard? Don't you see? I am the Lord. I am God! I am Creator of the ends of the earth and Everlasting God! My understanding is unsearchable! Who is like Me? I do not sleep. I do not get weary. Who can stop Me? Do you not know? Have you not heard that I give power to the faint and to the weary? I give strength to those who have no might! Not only do I give strength but I increase strength. I multiply strength and I make it to abound!"
The very word "abound" means to be richly or well supplied! It speaks of overflow. An overflow of strength. How awesome! A river of His strength, power, and might flowing to you, multiplying and overflowing.
Are you living as one who knows, who has heard what the Creator says, what Mighty God declares? Regardless of what people say, regardless of what it may seem. Regardless of any attempt of the enemy to rob you of your strength. Have you not heard? He is going to bring change: renew your strength and power! And He is going to cause a fresh wind of the Holy Spirit to be released for even greater breakthroughs as His plan unfolds for His Church.
Be of good cheer! Be strong in the Lord and in His Mighty Strength. The Lord is about to do marvelous things in the land. Fear not! Be strengthened today by the abounding River of His Might.
The Church is being changed, renewed, strengthened, and empowered. God will have for Himself a Church without spot or wrinkle. He will form for Himself a Body of Believers that will express Christ's fullness on the earth. He will equip, empower, and mature a people to walk and express Christ's fullness. He will strengthen the Church to extend the victory of Jesus to those who are bound and plundered by the enemy.

Have you not heard? Have you not known?
He is the everlasting God. The Lord. He is Creator God! Who and what can stop HIM? Who can instruct Him or counsel Him?
I am excited about what the Lord is showing me and will be sharing more over the coming weeks and months, as He calls us away from the plans of our heart and toward the plan of His heart, tapping into the overflowing river of His might, His counsel, His wisdom, His strength, and His power. Where God has begun a good work in the Church, He is faithful to complete it, continuing until the day of Jesus Christ, developing and perfecting it to full completion (see Philippians 1:6). The Lord's purpose prevails!
