I don't remember which author or speaker said it, but it goes something like this, "We chase God until He finally catches us!"

There are others ways to say the same thing.

One time, God said it like this:

"You will seek me and find me when YOU seek me with all your heart." (Jer 29:13)

But then, there's those other times when He said it like this:

". . . I was FOUND by those who did NOT seek me; I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me." (Rom 10:20)

God has a habit and He doesn't break it. He pursues us. But His pursuit requires our pursuing HIM? Confused?

So are many. Join the crowd.

HE'S FUNNY THAT WAY!

God is funny that way. About the time you think you have Him figured out, He just "lets" you know that it can't be done--you can't completely figure him out. You'll figure Him out here. And there. But not completely.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM HIM, ANYWAY

Recently, Bobby Conner has been telling congregations where he goes, that God said to him, "I give you permission, Bobby, to attempt to exaggerate the things I am about to do!"

Even when earthquakes and volcanoes, ---both in the news of late-- happen, they are a SIGN in the EARTH that God is NOT predictable. We never know when He'll move.

I have the thought today that many readers who read this are about as "bored out of their minds" as one can be. That's ok. There's about to be an earthquake in your life. Many changes are coming. God has work to do in your life and he wants to spice up your life.

You don't know how or where the earthquake will happen. But movement is on the way. Do you feel the ground trembling?

HE DOES-- OR ALLOWS-- WHATEVER HE PLEASES

It's true. He does--or allows--- whatever He pleases.

Is this not what is meant by the writer of Ecclesiastes, when He quotes the Holy Spirit, "

"Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few." (Eccl 5:2)

We have, many times, little to say about what God does on this earth. On the other hand . . . keep reading. There's always two sides to every story, isn't there?

ON THE WAY TO THE KINGDOM

A funny thing happened on the way to the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus changed the relationship. He announced it AS a change. He told His disciples the way it used to be. Then he told them the way it is!

Here's how He put it:

"I no longer call you servants, because a servant DOES NOT KNOW his master's business. INSTEAD, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you." (John 15:15)

Did you know that Jesus is still making things known to us? Did you know it happens every day?

THE WAY TO ALL TRUTH

He said it would be this way, before He went to be with His father:

"I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into ALL TRUTH. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come." (John 16:12-13)

As odd as it seems---as odd as it is,-- the Hidden things of God, the things we will never figure out--about our own lives and about the future--are the very things He wants to reveal.

Jesus called it "ALL TRUTH." The things in my life that I need answers to are part of "ALL TRUTH." The Lord wants to reveal "ALL TRUTH" TO YOU AND ME AND ALL HIS FOLLOWERS.

He doesn't do it all at once. He does it in pieces. A puzzle piece here? A color there. A timing issue today. A hint at the future tomorrow. The GOD who knows all, is in the process of revealing all.

He just does it one little piece at a time.

ONLY SIX BILLION PEOPLE TO MANAGE

On this earth, God manages the lives of six billion people (give or take). But He always giving them the freedom to choose for themselves --all at the same time. By the way, He's got LOTS of extra time on His hands.

He's not too busy for you or what's important to you. He can handle billions MORE people and know their entire histories--and STILL have lots of extra time on His hands. He'll never break a sweat, to put it mildly.

And while He manages us, He guides us into ALL TRUTH.

THE PROPHETIC MINISTRY

That's where the prophetic ministry comes in. It's part of that leading and guiding all of us, "INTO ALL TRUTH."

Years before most had heard the word "internet," and long before I'd thought of publishing THE ELIJAH LIST--- A prophet prophesied to me that I would connect the prophets by computer!

HUH? I thought? What basis in reality does that word have?

About 5 years later, I "accidentally" was connecting prophetic people by computer on THE ELIJAH LIST, using the Internet. Notice that I "accidentally" did it. An idea came to me one day to send some 30 friends some nifty prophetic words I was finding. Then people starting subscribing. That was not my intent--not at all. Now, four years and over 25,000 subscribers later--God's plan, and my accident-- is a reality.

A PROPHETIC ANALOGY

As kids, my brother and I used to clobber each other and then say, "I did it 'accidentally on purpose.'" It was funny when I did it. It wasn't funny when my older brother did it to me. It's ALL funny now, --now that I think about it!

That's sort of the way it is with God. We do things accidentally and He did it on purpose. In God's economy, as hard as it is to understand, it's all sort of the same thing--or at least works as if it is.

WHICH LEADS ME TO THE PROPHETIC STORIES IN YOUR LIFE

In the Last hour, the Lord put it on my heart to send to the ELIJAH LIST these short paragraphs (above) and a request for something.

I would like for you ---all who have great stories on how the prophetic WORD came to you and changed your life-- -to write and tell me your story.

I want to publish a few of them. I know I'll get more than I can respond to or publish, but I'm looking for the best stories, especially if they can be verified by others--to encourage the Body of Christ with the WORKINGS and RHEMA WORD of God.

It doesn't matter if the prophet or prophetic person who spoke to you is well known or Unknown. Just tell the simple story in a compelling way.

For some, it was a prophetic word that brought you to Christ. For others, it was a word about a change in your job. For yet others, a Word that showed you for the FIRST TIME that God knows YOU personally (probably the most profound type of prophetic word there is).

This may come as a surprise to many but there are a lot of folks, even on THE ELIJAH LIST, who need to know TODAY that God cares for them PERSONALLY. Just a few stories of how God specifically cares for His own kids and has spoken to them through the prophetic word-- will not only help---but will revive many!

IT'S THE SHORT STORIES WE SEEK. NO MORE THAN 500 WORDS OR SHORTER
