In 2 Corinthians 1:8-11 (The Message Bible) The Apostle Paul writes, "We don't want you in the dark, friends, about how hard it was when all this came down on us in Asia province. It was so bad we didn't think we were going to make it. We felt like we'd been sent to death row, that it was all over for us. As it turned out, it was the best thing that could have happened. Instead of trusting in our own strength or wits to get out of it, we were forced to trust God totally—not a bad idea since He's the God who raises the dead! And He did it, rescued us from certain doom. And He'll do it again, rescuing us as many times as we need rescuing. You and your prayers are part of the rescue operation—I don't want you in the dark about that either. I can see your faces even now, lifted in praise for God's deliverance of us, a rescue in which your prayers played such a crucial part."

For many of us who are facing an intense battle of just wanting to get "Out of Dodge" alive, Heaven has heard our cries. During worship on a day when it seemed all Hell was breaking loose around me and my family, I suddenly saw an angel named "I'm Taking You Through" being released from the throne of God for multitudes. I believe I heard the Father saying to this angel, "On their worst day, little did they know that I was working behind the scenes to bring about a mighty deliverance. Their situations never surprise Me for what seems to be a setback to them is actually a set up for Me to show up and prove My great faithfulness."

I wondered at first if this angel had any kind of limitations to its power. In my spirit, I was questioning if there were just certain things that this angel was not able to take us through down here. I believe this angel was reading my mail as it answered, "You fill in the blanks! I have come to take you and a multitude of others through whatever they need taken through by means of Divine intervention. This is why I have now come."

A "Stretcher Bearer" Anointing is Being Released in This Hour!

Mark 2:1-5 (The Message Bible), "After a few days, Jesus returned to Capernaum, and word got around that He was back home. A crowd gathered, jamming the entrance so no one could get in or out. He was teaching the Word. They brought a paraplegic to Him, carried by four men. When they weren't able to get in because of the crowd, they removed part of the roof and lowered the paraplegic on his stretcher. Impressed by their bold belief, Jesus said to the paraplegic, 'Son, I forgive your sins.'"

I believe as the Apostle Paul was delivered from sure death, also by the prayers of others, that God is also releasing a burden and gift of faith into many friends of those going through tumultuous events who would actually become "stretcher bearers" to help carry these precious loved ones through to the place of miraculous healing and deliverance.

I have experienced this myself recently as my close friend has been diagnosed with cancer. The first time I heard about his report it shook me, but the very next moment the Lord seemed to give me such an assurance that he would come through this no matter what. I normally battle worry with those kind of reports, but I was amazed with the peace I had and I believe that God had given me the gift of faith to believe for him to make it through. I told him and his wife, "Don't worry about having enough faith right now, I have extra for both of you! As sure as the sun is going to rise tomorrow morning, I believe you are going to make it."

Hebrews 11:1-2 (The Message Bible), "The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It's our handle on what we can't see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd."

Do You Remember Being Carried on a Stretcher By Others?

Galatians 6:2 (The Message Bible), "Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share one another's burdens and so complete Christ's law."

It's interesting that my friend has been used as a "stretcher bearer" for me in many of my darkest moments. When you are lying on a stretcher, the only way you can look is up! I would call my friend often when afraid of a doctor's report and he would end up saying, "Bill, you are going to be fine!" And I was. Now it was my turn to carry him through his ordeal.

When the gift of faith is given to you, for someone who is not sure they are going to make it, you will sense such a strong anointing and assurance that if need be, you will tear a roof apart to get them to the place of their divine healing. And you may even be led to support them financially if need be because you just can't help but want to. Even the torn roof can be billed to your account because it is Jesus in you who is carrying your loved one and He is the one giving through you.

A Stretcher Bearer's Faith Cannot Be Reckoned With

In the face of impending death of his loved one, the stretcher bearer's faith is only being stretched to believe in a God who can raise the dead! I wonder how many times that man's unbelief tried to convince those four friends to stop and forget about his miracle. But they just could not stop believing because it was God's own faith inside of them. Nothing could stop them. All they could see was this man walking and running with God's destiny. They had this gut feeling that this crippled man's condition was actually going to further the Gospel far and near and perhaps be read about through history. There was just no way he could stay sick as far as they were concerned.

In Philippians 1:12-13 Paul writes, "But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the Gospel, so that it has become evident to the whole palace guard, and to all the rest, that my chains are in Christ."

It is interesting when they broke the roof apart in Mark 2, and Jesus looked up at the commotion and the roof falling in, all that Jesus could see was the faith of those four friends. He saw the determination, perseverance and expectancy in their eyes that could not be stopped. I wonder if Jesus was thinking, "If I don't heal this guy they will probably tear this whole village down!"

Proverbs 17:17, "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity."

Thank God for friends. You don't have to have many. If you can find just about four good friends you are so blessed. You will make it through life no matter what happens. "A brother is born for adversity." Just make sure these few unique friends believe that "all things are possible with God."
