Last year I planted some crepe myrtles. This year they needed spring pruning before growth begins. I was pruning for shape and strengthening of branches.

TO INCREASE QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF THE BLOOMS

The goal is to increase quantity and quality of blooms, the ultimate purpose of the plants. During this exercise, the Lord spoke to my heart:

"I am bringing extensive pruning to My bride during this spring. I have purposes unfolding soon that will require her to be shaped and structured according to My desires. She needs to look like my pattern and design for her. She must be strong for there will be very difficult days ahead. Yet, during this, she will bloom profusely and bear much fruit.

NOT ALL WILL RECEIVE MY PRUNING

"I speak of those who will receive My pruning. Many will not. Pray for My bride!

"I will hear your prayers. (John 15:2 "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it, that it may bear more fruit).

"(Hebrews 12:11) All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.

"(Revelation 3:19) Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; be zealous therefore, and repent."
