I have one word for Sean Feucht: PROFOUND! Every time I read a newsletter of his, it gets me so stirred up and excited for what God is doing. I asked the Lord, "Why does this young man stir me so?" God said, "Sean is birthing the next generation of My children's worship. He carries a new sound and a new song I am releasing." Then I had a vision of Sean singing on TV in an "unplugged and live" environment. He was releasing, live and unplugged, new sounds of worship. Yet it wasn't just in a studio environment, TV crews were coming to him, where he was worshipping, as he released new sounds of Heaven into dark places. I'm trying to get him and his Burn crew to come to Thailand!
In Sean's article, I really appreciate him recognizing fathers and mothers who have blazed a trail before us. It's so important to honor those who have gone before us to make a way. There are two Scriptures God has spoken to me about more than any others the past few years.
In Deuteronomy 5:16, Moses says, "Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the LORD your God is giving you."
In Ephesians 6:2, Paul says, "Honor your father and mother?which is the first commandment with a promise."
By honoring your fathers and mothers, you are honoring the Lord where He has placed you. You are being trained and raised up by those the Lord has entrusted you to. Then you will receive the Father's blessing into the land He is giving you?it's the commandment with a promise.
Let's contend for the new sounds bringing truth and hope to be released into the desolate lands He is giving us.

"He is Crafting Our Sound to Be a Voice of Truth and Hope in This Hour"
Hearing from God in the "City of Sound"
I recently spent a week in Nashville, Tennessee, putting the finishing touches on the largest, most expensive and immense recording project of my life. It's been an extraordinary journey of crafting and releasing the fresh sound swelling up from deep within my soul?for this exciting and thrilling season we are now living in. I had the incredible privilege of spending the week, during this recording in Nashville, at the home of Ricky and Sharon Skaggs. They are a father and mother to this "new sound" God is releasing and have blazed a trail that we are humbly following today. Every morning I woke up to the taste of a good home-cooked southern breakfast while gazing at the skyline of the City of Sound!
The Lord began speaking to me during these times, about how He is restoring the "sound of innocence" back to our communities, cities and nations. Where cynicism, offense, greed and wounding have come to rob the purity and simplicity of our voice, God is redeeming and restoring all of this in our day!
"Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, 'Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh will be restored to you and you will be clean.'" 2 Kings 5:10
Just like the story of Naaman in 2 Kings 5, there is an invitation to the cleansing waters of His Presence that will wash away this disease and restore back virtue. Because of his anger that his healing did not come in the way he desired initially, Naaman reluctantly went to wash himself in the Jordan at the words of the prophet and the urging of his servants. When he emerged from the water the seventh time, his flesh was restored like that of a "little child."
All across the world, it's time that we allow the waters of God's Presence to restore back our innocence and purity that we may become a voice of clarity in this hour. Even though it may be coming in a way in which we least expected, we cannot afford to miss the chance to have our innocence and purity restored like that of little children!
The Context of His Glory and the Miraculous
This voyage of crafting and releasing the fresh sound began a few weeks after the New Year when God began to awaken me with dreams, visions and stirrings of what was going to take place in 2009. This awakening is happening across the BURN 24-7 community. Every leader in the BURN 24-7 movement (spanning 75 cities and communities around the world, 40 across the U.S.) has experienced a sense of expectancy and urgency in their spirit when praying, dreaming and meditating on what is coming to the Body in this hour.
We have been courageously and relentlessly sounding the trumpet for our cities to gather from across denominational lines and ethnic boundaries to host the very Presence of God for periods of 24, 48 and even 100 hours non-stop on a monthly and even weekly basis!
From Kona, Hawaii to Long Island, New York to Kathmandu, Nepal, we are experiencing measures of His glory that bring healing to the sick, setting the captives free and opening the heavens for breakthrough in our cities and nations! We have witnessed miraculous healings in Buffalo, New York, homosexuals repenting and receiving transforming power in Washington, DC, and strung-out New Age hippies in Byron Bay, Australia getting blasted by the Holy Spirit and surrendering their life to the person of Jesus.
This is all happening in the place of His Presence as vertical Davidic worship, faith-filled intercession and prophetic proclamation rise like incense to flood the city. In the context of this outbreak of extravagant miracles, the surpassing glory and the radiating presence we are experiencing, a sound is being crafted and matured in the depths of our beings as we gather in one accord to build "a resting place" for God (Isaiah 66:1).
Holy Incubators
I have begun to see the Lord use these furnaces of night and day worship, enjoyable adoration, relentless intercession and extravagant outreach as "holy incubators" preparing us for what lies ahead. Much like the Cave of Adullam in 1 Samuel 22:2, God is calling the distressed, the discontented, and the disillusioned (as well as the cynical and the religious) to come and be transformed in the place of His Presence. This will result in a pure, raw and authentic sound being released from the worshippers across the Body again.
With the shakings, quakings and shiftings in economic and political spheres being constantly trumpeted by the media, the world is searching for a "sound of truth" in this hour. The sound being shaped in Adullam's cave must be released to the world! They are longing to hear a song filled with faith and hope to awaken their broken and disillusioned hearts! We must be a burning and shining people who know where we are headed, who understand the end of the story, and are fixing our eyes on the unseen glory to come!
Fresh Vision at Yale - The Dead Shall Be Raised
Last month, I was on the campus of Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut with our Burn crew. We spent time prayer walking, strategizing and dreaming for a move of God to sweep over the campuses of America. As David chose his smooth stones to come against Goliath in 1 Samuel 17, we began to pray and believe for a Davidic army of lovers who would rise up and release their smooth stones of worship, intercession, and the song of the Lord?smooth stones that will cast down the spirit of humanism and usher in an awakening to millions of college twenty-somethings, floundering to find a "higher truth."
During our tour of the campus, I noticed many Bible verses and prophecies etched into the stones and foundations of the school by the forefathers and first Presidents of our nation. My heart was filled with grief and despair at how far we've fallen from the original purpose and dream of these "ministry schools" created to rise up a godly generation.
I began to weep and asked the Lord the infamous question: "Can these bones live again?" At that moment, we crossed the street and found ourselves in front of the campus cemetery where the founding fathers, professors and missionaries are buried. Chiseled with bold letters into the large stone gate over the cemetery in plain view of everyone on the campus it read: "The Dead Shall Be Raised."
Singing Over Barrenness
Hope flooded my heart, cynicism vanished, and I began to comprehend the divine strategy of God in this hour. He spoke to my heart with a clear voice and said: "I've called you to sing over the barrenness of the land and watch it come to life."
I was then taken to Isaiah 54:1, which has become the roadmap for everything we are now doing in 2009 across the globe:
"Sing, O Barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband."
There is a sound of innocence, purity and life that God is longing to release through His Body in this hour over the barrenness of our churches, cities, regions and nations. It's a sound awakening sons and daughters to throw off their grave clothes and enter into the promises prophesied over this hour in history!
We are expending ourselves to mobilize the nations this year to come into unity with this sound. We are calling forth historic gatherings with this army this summer in:
San Francisco for a 10-day release of sound in Golden Gate Park during the 40-year anniversary of Woodstock.
The history triangle of Virginia for a 3-day "Blaze Manifesto" worship explosion over July 4th reclaiming the destiny of the nation.
Sending four "Burn Wagon" buses filled with young zealous revivalists to the four corners of the nation.
Dozens of mission trips to the most unreached nations of the world (including Iraq, Turkey and Indonesia).
A 6-week BURN EURO tour across 5 nations in Europe to awaken this sound!
We are also releasing projects carrying the sound of rebirth, reclamation and hope. The first project we just finished is the most incredible spontaneous, melodic, instrumental album I have been a part of with psalmists and minstrels across America. Appropriately titled "Sacred Mountain" (which will be available on the ElijahList soon), this sound breathes forth resurrection life through the rhythms and melodies and takes the listener to high places in the Spirit. The second project is a studio album we've been crafting that will be released later this summer and features Leonard Jones, Jenn Johnson and Ricky Skaggs imparting their sound!
Let's allow God to craft our sound in the place of His Presence into a unifying redemptive, faith-filled, fresh voice that will beckon the world to see and experience the goodness, mercy, grace and glory of God!
The world is looking for such a voice of truth and we must be those who release it.
