GOD'S PROPHETIC PLAN OF SALVATION FOR THE NORTH AMERICAN FIRST NATIONS PEOPLEBy Steve Lincoln - Steve's email: steve@eagleswings.f9.co.uk (A prophetic dream on the night of Friday 26th January 2001) From the top of a nearby sand dune, a First Nations brave looked out at the group of people who had gathered in the desert nearby. It seemed strange to him that they would come out all this way and set up a tent in the middle of such a difficult area, especially for those who were not used to such conditions. As this brave was on lookout, he decided to keep watch before reporting back to his leaders, and so he waited. TONIGHT WAS THE NIGHT Meanwhile, down in the tent there was a sense of great anticipation and excitement, tonight was the night. He had seen what was to happen in a dream, and they believed in his gifting, God had blessed their leader with a keen insight into the spiritual realm, and had called him into service as a prophet. After a while, the group began to pray and joined together in a circle, with hands joined. Suddenly, seemingly from out of nowhere they were joined by another man, who had ventured down from his lookout post. He walked up to the leader of this group and fell on his knees before him. "Please help me", said the brave. "I must know this God to whom you pray. I was watching you from a distance, and a voice said to me, 'Come White Feather, your time is now. I, the God of all creation am calling you.'" "Praise be to God!" said the leader, and all around the circle, people started to cheer and praise God with great excitement and passion. HE THEN PLACE HIS HANDS ON THE YOUNG BRAVE'S SHOULDERS "God is so faithful", said the leader of the group, and then placed his hands on the young brave's shoulders and prayed for him. "I need you Jesus. I will serve you with my whole life and everything I have is yours", said the brave, who then fell back under the power of God. After a while, the young brave stood up, embraced the leader and said goodbye to the group. He then made his way back up the sand dune, stopping just to shout, "I will return to you later". As he made his way back to the camp where he was staying, the young brave was filled with great excitement and thought nothing of telling his leaders what had just happened to him. He was not concerned about the fact that this God and in fact these people had been distrusted by his tribe for as long as he could remember, and so he strode boldly on and after entering the camp, went straight in to speak with the chief himself. Later on, with his hands tied together, and a rope attaching him to one of the horses, the large band of warriors, led by their chief, came back to the spot where the young brave had first seen the group and their large tent. After they had kept watch for about half an hour, sounds of singing, clapping, dancing and instruments being played came up to meet them. Encouraged by the salvation of the young brave earlier that day, the group of worshipers were now more excited and were giving thanks to God with great vigor. THE CHIEF WAS OUTRAGED However, up on the top of the sand dune, the chief was outraged. How dare these people come onto his land and worship in this manner. 'We must attack them now and drive them from our land', he thought to himself. He motioned to his warriors to gather around him and listen to his plan. They would attack and drive these strange people from their land. He would give the command, and then they would make their move. Just a little longer to wait, until the darkness of the night was complete. However, just as the chief was about to raise his spear to start the charge down the sand dune, a strange whistling sound was heard from the middle of the group of worshipers, who had again joined in a circle, and were busy worshipping God with great fervor. UNEXPLAINED WHITE LIGHTS As the whistling sound intensified, the chief watched with awe and wonder as dozens of white lights appeared in the circle and went out to stand around the worshipers. These white lights, intensifying all the time in their brightness, were the figures of men, but not men that either the chief, his men or the worshipers had ever seen before. They stood about eight or nine feet tall, had gleaming swords and spears, and looked both majestic and awesome. Awe-struck, the chief waited and watched, but these men did not move. Around them, the sounds of worship continued, getting greater and greater, the presence of these men seeming to urge the worshipers on into greater heights of excitement. They would return in the morning, thought the chief, but they must be alert tonight, and be on guard. In the morning, the chief led his whole tribe to the tent that the worshipers were using, and found them deep in prayer. As he looked around, he could see no sign of the giant men that had appeared the night before. HELP ME! All of a sudden, the chief shook and fell to his knees in front of the leader, and said aloud, "Help me, I need to know your God. I need Jesus! Please baptize me. I want to be saved!" The chief lay prostrate on the floor for several minutes, shaking and crying. Once he had managed to stand up again, he motioned to several of his braves, who brought out from their bags the most beautiful, colored lengths of material. Purple, red, blue, gold, silver, green, orange and yellow lengths of shining material that shone in the glow of the sun. These were given as gifts to the leader and the group. HE TOLD ME HIS NAME . . . "A man came to me last night", said the chief. "I thought at first that he was one of the men that I saw here last night, when we were about to attack you". Looking to his men, the chief's eyes filled with tears, as he said, "But no, He told me His name, Jesus. He spoke to me about who He is, and what I must do. I felt so much love from him, although I had never seen him before." With a movement of his hand, the chief motioned for his people to come forward, and many braves came to the leader and the other worshipers, who embraced them warmly. After a while, the women and children came forward and were also embraced. AWAKENED WITH THE WORDS . . . I awoke with the words, "the vast majority of the tribe were saved that day", ringing through my ears. ** This is one of the most vivid and real dreams that I have had in a long time, and I firmly believe that God is speaking through it. Not only to me, but also to His Body, and is saying to us to be ready to obey His voice and do what He is calling us to do. We may well be the ones who will go into the desert to worship Him, whether figuratively or literally, and lead the tribes to Jesus. I do believe that this is a time for the North American First Nations People to come to salvation, but this is also a time for the nations at large. It is also a day of signs and wonders, and these things will accompany us who believe. One of the things that struck me most about this particular dream was the way that different periods of time appeared to be interwoven. The time period for the First Nations People living together in a camp of teepees compared with the modern dress and contemporary style of the worshipers. I believe that God is saying through this that our message is one that transcends time, as does God Himself. There are many accounts in church history, particularly in the lives and work of missionaries and evangelists in foreign lands, of angels coming to their rescue.
