Kim Clement: "God's Translators Communicate the Whole Truth Given to Them"

Steve ShultzFrom the desk of Steve Shultz:

What are "God Translators" you might ask? Well, you'll need to read this article by Kim Clement to find out. But I will tell you he does share this:

"Once you have traveled the journey and get to the point of inspiration, which is the communication of the truth, you are able to translate the whole truth that has been given to you. In Acts 2:1-4, after the Holy Spirit rested upon the disciples, they began to communicate in various languages, and all of those in Jerusalem, from various countries, could understand in their own language what these inspired disciples were communicating."

After reading Kim's article, believe me, you'll be pondering the revelation of it for awhile.

But first, here are a couple of popular resources by Kim:

Kim Clement:
"God's Translators Communicate the Whole Truth Given to Them"

"God employs several translators; some pieces are translated by age, some by sickness, some by war, some by justice."

Kim ClementI was recently preparing an address for a special dinner we had for our partners in California, and I started thinking about how I would translate a piece of God's truth to these special people. I pondered for a moment, and finally realized that God must employ various translators to interpret His message. His language is Heavenly and even when the Holy Spirit fills some, they speak in a "heavenly" language.

When the Holy Spirit fills human beings, many times they will speak in an unusual language, a heavenly language, which according to Corinthians requires interpretation; so His language, His words, and His writings require interpretation. When God wrote on the wall during the reign of King Belshazzar, the leaders had to call Daniel in to translate what God had written. So as you can see, God's messages have to be interpreted, and once practiced, I gave my address, which I would like to share with you.

There are Three Aspects of a Vision:

1. The birth of a vision.
2. The death (sleep, slumber, a state of inactivity) of the vision.
3. The resurrection of the vision.

During each of these phases, you are given the ability to translate a portion or a piece of God's script. To attempt to avert any of these phases would be indiscriminate in translating the entire script that God has given to you to share. In fact, I see us all as pieces of the puzzle, if you wish, and each one of us has the ability to translate what God is saying proportionately. It's ridiculous, even pompous, to suggest that we know all that is written or spoken from the mouth of God. I was sharing with a friend the other day how it frustrates me that at times I can have so much revelation and understanding about hidden things, and yet at other times I am completely blinded.

At that moment, I was reminded of the story of a Shunammite woman, who had been promised a child by the prophet (read 2 Kings 4:8-37). You will notice that the birth of the son (vision) came about because of a word that was given by God to her. It was impossible for her and her husband to have children and yet because of the spoken word, it became possible. Verse 16, "About this time next year you shall embrace a son."

The woman gave birth to a son, "and the child grew." Suddenly, tragedy strikes and the little boy dies. Verse 20, "When he had taken him and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died."

Even though this was a physical condition and circumstance, there is a lesson to be learned here. The promise is given to the woman, she gives birth to the son, and later on, the son she gave birth to dies. However, the story does not end there. She immediately takes a trip to Mount Carmel, where Elisha is, and as a result of her determination and faith, sees the very son she gave birth to resurrected.

What I saw in this, aside from the three phases of a vision, was the fact that Elisha did not know that the child had died, and even when she gets nearby, he sends his servant with a few questions: "Is it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well with the child?" She answers with a lie, or possibly with a determined faith, "It is well." When she gets to Elisha, she falls at his feet and his response is sobering, and the prophet says, "...her soul is in deep distress, and the LORD has hidden it from me...and has not told me."

Things are Revealed at Times and Concealed at Other Times

Let's talk about truth. I believe that truth is dispersed during these three phases (birth, death and resurrection.) When a child is born, there is very little understanding of life as we all know. You can't get much truth out of a child's mouth during infancy, but the innocence of a child speaks volumes. During the first phase of a vision, there is an innocent truth that translates an aspect of God that is almost laughable to many mature in their faith.

If you can maintain and keep that innocence during the next phase, you will always translate God's pieces with purity and love. However, many people lose that innocence and become callous and almost skeptical because of the difficulties surrounding the death (or sleep) of a vision. This skepticism is destroyed when the resurrection of your vision takes place. Remember the words of Jesus, "...unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain" (John 12:24).

Therefore your translation of truth, sent from God, is only as effective as the phase that you are in. Each one of these expressions is eventually assimilated, and at that point, you are able to translate the entire script of your life. Lovely, hey?

As a musician, I understand that a piece of music has variations. This means that each form is an altered version of a given theme, diverging from it by melodic ornamentation and by changes in harmony, rhythm or key.

Truth is composed in three variations:

1. Revelation: The discovery of truth.
2. Illumination: The understanding of that truth.
3. Inspiration: The communication of truth.

Revelation: The Discovery of the Truth

To discover something is exciting. When I first discovered that I was a prophet, it was thrilling and sensational. I had no idea what it entailed but my imagination sure kept me from any form of pessimism. They say the difference between an optimist and a pessimist is that an optimist sees the doughnut, while a pessimist sees the hole.

There is an omnipresent and omnipotent childlike quality that rules your life during this first phase of truth. Listen to some truth about children:

"Children unnerve us with the impertinence of their questions, the naturalness of their proposals, and the irreverence in their fleeting expressions. They can be cunning and manipulative, but aren't the masters at deception many adults have grown to become. Their behavior shows us a unique way to interpret reality, while their simple words ask us how to solve both everyday problems, as well as cope with the bigger issues of life and growing up. THIS IS BECAUSE A CHILD IS ATTRACTED BY THE MYSTERIES OF LIFE AND THE UNKNOWN AS WELL; THEY ARE CAPABLE OF BEING BOTH PRACTICAL AND SPIRITUAL."

Sometimes we reject the notion of Christ as a child, and prefer the resurrected God-man that we think we can relate to better. As long as there remains an element of the mysterious in your life (something that you have not discovered and conquered), you will maintain these childlike qualities that are essential in translating God's words in purity.

Illumination: The Understanding of the Discovery

During this time, you are only able to absorb so much, and when the reality of the process is understood, a depression can set in. Please don't think that this is unscriptural or ungodly. Let's return to the experience and the words of our Lord and Teacher, Jesus Christ: "Now my soul is troubled (perplexed) and what shall I say? 'Father, save me from this hour'? (No), But for this purpose I came to this HOUR" (John 12:27, emphasis added).

Consider this: Jesus has just spoken about the fact that He is going to die and be glorified, and suddenly He is perplexed (troubled with uncertainty and doubt), but He realizes that it is purposeful to be at that place. During the infancy and life of your vision, you become aware of the realities of that vision. Death is inevitable, in order for you to become the glorious translator of the truth.

At one point, Jesus said to His disciples, "I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now." I studied the word He used, "bear," and the Greek meaning for that word is "bastazo," which means "contain," suggesting that you can only contain so much truth, otherwise you will regurgitate it. But then He says, "When HE, the SPIRIT OF TRUTH, has come, He will guide you into ALL TRUTH"(emphasis added). Beautiful! In other words, AFTER DEATH and resurrection, there will come a "spirit of truth," and you will be given "all truth."

Inspiration: The Communication of the Truth

Once you have traveled the journey and get to the point of inspiration, which is the communication of the truth, you are able to translate the whole truth that has been given to you. In Acts 2:1-4, after the Holy Spirit rested upon the disciples, they began to communicate in various languages, and all of those in Jerusalem, from various countries, could understand in their own language what these inspired disciples were communicating.

Just recently, I sent a birthday card to my dear friend, A.T. Snoots, and in the card I wrote these words, "Happy Birthday and remember, the older the fiddler, the sweeter the tune. A.T., I believe that there are specific days in a man's life when he is the precise age for something important and significant to happen. I believe that this is one of those days."

It is important for all of us to realize that there are times, and even dates, in our lives, where something crucial and significant appears. I believe that we have reached an age in the Kingdom where we are ready and prepared for something significant to be released in our lives.

Now, let's translate God's love to the Human race.
