"LET'S SEE IF YOU CAN KEEP IT!"

I believe it was Benjamin Franklin, who came out of the building where the Declaration of Independence had just been signed, and a woman approached him asking him what they had just done. He said something like, "Madam, we have just given you a democracy...now let's see if you can keep it."

God has given us a chance that we didn't earn and don't deserve. It isn't so much the human, flawed vessel of George Bush, (trust me, he WILL let us down now and then...) but the "test", if you will, is something bigger.

"ARE WE CAPABLE OF SUSTAINED PRAYER?"

We truly are about to enter into a season of maturity and ripening in the Body of Christ like we haven't seen in our generation. The next four years will show what we are and aren't made of. Are we even capable of the sustained prayer necessary to uphold the move of God that we cry out for?

Well, He [THE LORD] heard SOMEthing! We got heaven's attention somehow, and managed to wrestle through phase #1. But honestly, I don't think we know what we've gotten ourselves into.

"I CAN HEAR IT TICKING RIGHT NOW!"

We've set something off.

I can hear it "ticking" right now. We are being watched, observed and weighed. We've earned ourselves a test. We've qualified for the right to be measured. We have won nothing but the privilege of heaven taking us half-way serious. (I don't mean that in a dishonoring way, He loves us so very much....but we have been crying out for a "more" from God, that I'm not so sure we've had the stomach to handle.)

" . . .WHEN THEIR EYES DON'T CARRY THE LOOK OF DEATH. . ."

The prophetic voice is about to change and the qualifying standard is about to go up. No longer will we look at "gifted" men and call them prophets, when their eyes don't even carry the look of "death" (Not the evil spirit of death, but the "death" that Christ spoke of, and the embracing of the cross.)

There will be such a grace and injunction to pray, and there will be such an authority revealed, that it can in no way be mimicked. We will see prophets and apostles firmly established where they belong-- at the bottom of God's inverted ladder, and with great authority. The standard is about to be raised so much that men who are not prophets will actually fear to call themselves such; and those who are prophets will walk in so much holy authority (whether we ever know their names, or whether they walk in secret) we will be amazed to look back at what we once called, "prophet".

There are some who say that there are no real prophets now. I believe there are and have been Prophets, or the church could never to any degree have been equipped at all, as it is the Prophets, Apostles, etc.--- that have been given to equip Her.

We've walked in the light we've been given, and to some degree have been faithful, or we wouldn't be at the threshold we are now.

But these are Prophets who have walked through fire, through the river of testing and the waters that didn't overcome them.

It will certainly bring a change in the way we see things and bring a halt to how easily we attribute an "office" to a gifted person.

MORE THAN ONE KIND OF "MARINE"

A man who has made it through the Marine Corp. boot-camp is now called a Marine. But a man who has served his four years, is another "type" of Marine. And a man who spent those four years in active combat is another "type" of Marine all together.

I believe up till now, we have seen "boot-camp" Christians and "boot-camp" prophets. (With a few dozen seasoned, well-equipped Prophets training us and showing the way. Trust me, we aren't out there training ourselves...There are and have been, --seen or unseen, real Prophets out there!)

SOME THINK THEY'VE ALREADY SEEN REAL COMBAT

Some of those "real" Prophets have just come through some very real combat and their "eyes" have been forever changed. We'll begin to see them soon.

Some with the "call" of prophet THINK they've seen combat, when actually they have just finished the "hell" of boot-camp.

Blessings to them!

However, once you have seen the battle-seasoned "Marine" Prophet, you may have very little tolerance for anything else.

ANGELIC INTERVENTION

Intercessors are needed now more than ever, and are themselves going through their "Gethsemane" Their work is not unnoticed by the Lord, and I believe a greater angelic intervention is coming for them.
