A SPECIFIC WAY TO PRAY

A MESSAGE FROM STEVE SHULTZ, THE ELIJAH LIST This note represents a SPECIFIC WAY to pray. There are some states, no matter how magnanimous Al Gore was to concede, that can simply MAKE Gore into the next president, based on the law of their own state. Only God knows if this is in the plan of opponents of Bush but many intercessors are feeling it is. We must pray with strategic, wise, targeted prayers-- always praying WITHOUT CEASING, according to THE WORD. Please target your prayers, not only for the safety of George Bush but for the electoral college THIS MONDAY!!! God gives His word so we will act upon it and this is one of those words I believe! There is more than one state where electors can vote against the tide, even though it's NEVER DONE. This could be a first, unless we pray! --- Steve Shultz steve@elijahlist.com

An editorial in The Union Leader, a statewide newspaper in New Hampshire, warned that unless New Hampshire's four electors actually cast their ballots for Bush when they meet in Concord, Bush will fall short of the 270 electoral votes he needs to assume the Oval Office. The editorial noted that New Hampshire is one of 24 states that lacks a law or pledge to enforce electors' faithfulness to the candidate. "Before Gore conceded Wednesday night, people close to him were contacting Bush electors, asking them to switch allegiance when they vote Monday," the editorial writer said. I spoke with another newspaper editor this morning about the process. Apparently, the electoral college votes won't be opened until Jan. 6 at which time Gore could actually recover the lead and be named president if enough electors switch over. This fits perfectly with the word you published earlier about a touchdown by the opponent when everyone thought the game was over. I believe we must prepare for a last minute attempt at mutiny in the electoral college. Thanks for considering this for the elijahlist. Blessings,
