There is so much negative news out there right now that it's hard to see the good. We NEED to hear MESSAGES OF HOPE too - to counteract all the negative news coming at us daily. That's why I like this word by Jon Hamill who says to: "PROPHESY RECOVERY!"
Don't we all want some recovery in just about every area of our lives? If you're one who does, then this word is for you! As you read it, you'll want to take action!

"God is Now Releasing a Move of Recovery By His Spirit for Covenant Wealth"

Many intercessors throughout the nation recently participated in the "Summer of Recovery Prayer Focus," crying out at His leading - for the Lord to bring a move of recovery to the nation. On July 15, we released the focus below as part of the project. Our ministry, along with many others nationally and globally, is again in a period of "prayer and fasting." My wife Jolene and I felt prompted by the Lord to release this word on a broader level to encourage us all to pray.
The word and focus seems as important today as it was this summer - perhaps more. Some friends asked what we feel will happen in the economy. I personally believe that if we humble ourselves and pray, grace will be extended to see recovery. What this means is that the timetable of global economic collapse that may then seemingly mandate some kind of global governance can be pushed back as we continue to intercede.
Therefore, let's join together and PROPHESY RECOVERY!
Shaking in the Banking Industry
A year and a half ago, Jolene shared privately with a few friends a dream she had of a shaking in the banking industry. It is important to note that she was still working as a mortgage broker at the time.
In the dream, Jolene saw a high-rise office/condo complex in Rockville, Maryland with plate glass windows all around. At the bottom were many banks, with drive-in tellers and vaults. At the top of the skyscraper there were many large investment companies, insurance firms, and major restaurant chains that were owned by giant corporations. Essentially, there were well-respected conglomerates in the skyscraper, with the foundation consisting of the banks.
Then the foundation of the skyscraper began to shake. As she watched, she was surprised to see that the firms on the top level of this skyscraper had begun to fall as well. The ones that seemed most "rock-solid" were tumbling as the banks began to shake.
The Windows Above Are Opened...
Throughout these past few days, we have shared much on Genesis 7:11 - where the floodgates of Heaven opened and the fountains of the deep burst forth. God is doing the same in this hour. The prophet Isaiah put it this way: "For the windows above are opened, and the foundations of the earth shake!" (Isaiah 24:18).
And suddenly what we've all been praying for becomes terrifying in its fulfillment. God is opening the windows of Heaven. Throughout our land, the Earth is trembling in response.
Is there hope for the future? I believe so. But securing the blessing we've had for so long, and taking it for granted, now requires a new stance in this hour.
Covenant of Tears
Four hundred years ago, my Pilgrim forefathers knelt in the harbor of Provincetown, Cape Cod, and worshipped the Lord for keeping them safe after a near-tragic voyage to the New World. They had thrust their sails into the wind to forge a dream given to them by God. The community they birthed grew into the United States of America.
In Provincetown, they signed a document called the Mayflower Compact, committing the land and its new government to "the glory of God and the advancement of the Christian faith." That is when these weary Pilgrims waded ashore, fell on their faces, and sealed their covenant with tears.
In this hour, God is again bearing witness to the tears of His children over this land. Surprisingly though, not so many tears are freely flowing. Our "git 'er dun" bravado is still resounding through the halls of government, the penthouses of Wall Street, even the corner gas station. Could it be that the wealth of America - the crutch on which we lean - is keeping us from being able to kneel before God's throne?
God promises wealth - or more accurately, power to gain wealth - to those endeavoring to establish the covenant He swore to our fathers (see Deuteronomy 8:18). With this focus alone, I prophesy to you that GOD IS NOW RELEASING A MOVE OF RECOVERY BY HIS SPIRIT to those who are calling on His Name. He is releasing to the Body of Christ the power to gain wealth to establish the covenant He swore to our forefathers (see Deuteronomy 8:18).
Resetting God's Covenant
I recently had the privilege of leading a team on a "prayer strike" through Washington, D.C. Our team was assigned to pray for and bless the White House, the Federal Reserve and the State Department.
Throughout the journey, we felt grace to declare what many prophets have been sharing - that God was resetting His covenant with our land and government. We came into agreement with our forefathers that this nation was founded "for the glory of God and the advancement of the Christian faith." Let us encourage you to do the same. Washington, D.C. is your city.
Therefore - prophesy the resetting of God's covenant. Prophesy recovery according to His covenant! Ask Holy Spirit to be the spiritual undercurrent and overarching influence of our Nation's Capitol. As a Christian, it is as much your civic duty to pray for those in authority as it is to vote!
Restoring Covenant Wealth
This project is by no means done. But during the prayer journey, at a park between the State Department and the Federal Reserve, the Holy Spirit surprised us by speaking corporately about this move of recovery.
In Elisha's day, a prophetic action released the supernatural recovery of an axe head that had fallen into deep waters. The axe head had been borrowed to build a bigger facility for a school of prophets. The loss of the axe head meant that they were unable to recover what they had borrowed to build for the future.
Many in our nation are experiencing this same loss right now. What was borrowed to secure a better future has been quite literally sunk, with no visible means of recovery. To us, the axe head represents this power to gain covenant wealth. In other words, in the midst of crisis, the power to gain wealth to establish God's covenant (see Deuteronomy 8:18) is now being restored to the Body of Christ.
Releasing Recovery
When Elisha threw the stick in the Jordan, this axe head floated supernaturally so those who borrowed the tool could recover it. God has a process of recovery for your axe head. By God's Spirit and man's agreement, what you borrowed to build for the future can be released from the depths and be visible to you again. As you perceive by faith this recovery, you can literally pull your miracle out of the waters and recover what you have borrowed for your future.
This is what God orchestrated with our prayer team in Washington, D.C. The weight of God's presence with us brought an authority to decree in His faith, not our own. Our time ended with a literal strike. With the Lincoln Memorial shimmering in the Reflecting Pool, we threw a stick into the waters as a prophetic act to release a move of recovery for our nation.
I don't know how God's going to do this. But standing by the Reflecting Pool after praying at the very institutions upon which our future seems to depend, the voice of the Lord was resounding over the waters. A window of opportunity will be opened for a limited time. By God's grace and man's obedience we can supernaturally recover what was borrowed in order to build our future.
The Power of the Cross
What was it about the branch that caused an iron axe head to float? One of the greatest descriptions of Jesus in the Bible is that He is the Branch. Jesus hung on the tree to pay a debt for us. He didn't owe the debt, we did. He bore on the cross the full punishment for our sins.
When Elisha threw this branch into the Jordan, he prophetically was releasing the power of the cross to bring recovery! Jesus died to forever join us to Himself, and also to bring full recovery into every aspect of our lives. He is our Redeemer! And the same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead is now at work to bring recovery into your life.
The Call: Repentance and Recovery
As individuals and as a nation, our first priority to receive this recovery must be to align again with God's covenant. In His covenant we see His heart, priorities and purposes expressed. I mentioned before that receiving God's blessing of recovery mandates that we take a new stance in this hour. It is a stance of humility.
On July 14, while praying about TheCall DC, I sensed the Lord strongly saying to me that just as Elisha released the branch into the Jordan to recover the axe head, so He is releasing TheCall into this nation as a means to catalyze recovery at this time. As we repent and return to Him, He is willing to bring the full power of the cross to bear upon our nation to see a recovery of covenant blessing.
This November 1, Lou Engle is leading TheCall San Diego, a solemn assembly where we can again take this stance. Beloved, it is time to "weep between the porch and the altar" for the Lord's mercy to prevail in America. There truly is no other solution to the challenges we now face.
A Confirming Dream
This spring, my wife Jolene had a surprising dream that confirms God's desire to bring economic recovery to the housing market. We originally shared this dream via email on May 14. Jolene served many years as a mortgage broker before entering full-time ministry. In her dream, hundreds of clients were lined up at the door to the mortgage office of a local bank, hoping to secure loans. There was an urgency about the situation. The market had turned in a single day.
By this dream we feel God is releasing a season of economic recovery, but the window of opportunity will be limited. Therefore it is important to prepare ahead and act decisively as this window opens!
Eight Points For Recovery
In Elisha's day, the borrowed tool was supernaturally recovered so it could again be used to build for the future. Jolene and I are praying for the Lord to release His grace to each of you. Recover the axe head, and let's build for the future!
Here are some prayer points for your journey of recovery:
? Ask the Lord to grant you a new beginning - resetting His covenant with you, your family, church and the land. Where needed, make every effort to repent and re-align. Prophesy Recovery!
? As Elisha asked the prophets, God is asking us - Where did the axe head fall? Why?
? Ask God to lift off of your spirit any trauma over suffered loss. Ask Him to "remantle you" for victory.
? God wants to free you personally, as well as your nation from being held captive to debt and debtors. Pray that what was borrowed will become supernaturally buoyant so that it may be recovered. By recovering this tool, you may build for the future.
? Elisha threw ONE STICK into the Jordan. Remember how God told Ezekiel to take two sticks and join them together as one? Unity and synergy in covenant relationships is essential to catalyze recovery. This is very important for this hour!
? Ask the Lord to help you recover talent, treasure and spiritual gifting that has been buried. Ask Him to recover your effectiveness and influence.
? What was borrowed can be restored to build for the future. Ask the Lord to recover the covenant wealth you need to establish His dream for you.
? Finally - to bring recovery, God may require you to count your losses as seed in His Kingdom. For your loss to count as seed, you must let it go. Pray through any unforgiveness and bitterness associated with loss. Give what you've lost to Jesus, and ask Him to recover it as a harvest in your future.
