TWO PRINCESSES

Bryan Hupperts
Sep 8, 1997

Note from Steve Shultz, Moderator: I think its important to point out that we do not KNOW the destiny of Princess Diana. We can make inferences, based on the fruit of her life, things she's said and done, (or not done), the church she had membership in (church of England?), etc. But aside from direct revelation, we can only commentate based on possibilities. Nevertheless, lessons and observations (such as below) are still valid and should be pondered as it relates to our own lives and the life of the church. A significant task of the modern day prophet or prophetically gifted...is to discern the signs, natural and supernatural--of the times in which we live. God is often speaking through them. I, like others somehow intuitively "know" that the timing of Mother Teresa's passing is no coincidence.

Two Princesses

I am going to say something before today's post as a disclaimer. I am not Roman Catholic (though I was raised in the Catholic Church) nor do I endorse or practice their many aberrant doctrines.. I do believe, and history will bare me out, that there have been many wonderful Christians in that organization.

Being Catholic does not mean you immediately go to Hell any more than being Protestant gets you a ticket to Heaven. If you think Catholic doctrine is off (and much is) you should watch "Christian" TV sometime. I am appalled at the winds of doctrine, greed, and fraud I see perpetrated in Christs' name. If Jesus could ever get on as a guest, and that's a big IF, I imagine he'd be there whip in hand ready to overturn a few tables.

Having said that, I want to show you two princesses, Diana, Princess of Wales and the WORLD, and Mother Theresa, Princess with God.

If there were no God to answer to, Diana would be the highest humanity has to offer. She was beautiful, powerful, influential, given to good works, compassionate, and lived a glamorous life. She is what worldly people strive to be like.

Because there is a God to answer to, Diana wasted her life looking for the love, affection, and attention that only God can give. Only He can complete a life and give purpose.

Mother Teresa followed Jesus. She cared for the rich and poor alike and lived for the next world - paradoxically making her of incredible use in this life. Like Diana, she was compassionate, caring, and eased suffering but for the glory of God. I cannot answer for her doctrine, but I loved her heart.

Who would you rather be a prince or princess with, this passing world or with God? Diana lived a few short years and lost her wealth and kingdom. Mother Teresa laid up her treasure in heaven where neither thief nor rust can take it from her.

The kingdom belongs to the likes of Mother Teresa. Where do you want to be royalty? In this life, or the next?

Be blessed,
Bryan Hupperts
