Note from Steve Shultz, Moderator: I really enjoyed this recounting of a PROPHETIC WORD/TEACHING that was on TBN tonight. I believe it is RIGHT ON and wanted to pass it along to you. Thank you Nola for summarizing the message in this prophetic message to the Body of Christ.

PROPHETIC TEACHING REPORT BY NOLA SMITH
"Glenn & Nola Smith"
To my friends and family in Christ,
Has anyone been watching revival meetings on TBN lately? It is so very awesome. I'm not sure who was preaching tonight but what he spoke so bore witness to my spirit that I just must pass it on. All I know is that he said he is Italian, has dark hair and a mustache and was wearing a double-breasted navy suit and tie.
These are my words, not his, but it's what I heard him saying that God is saying, and all it did was confirm for me what I have been hearing God say for the last year, not just to my heart, but in prophesy after prophesy in the Body of Christ:
NO MORE "KING OF THE HILL"
God says this revival is not about playing "king of the hill". It's not about choosing what music style most pleases or invites God - they all please God. It's not about what training and theology most identifies what God is doing today - we are all uniquely different as each of the tribes of Israel were different with unique purposes - we are ALL the body of Christ and we are ALL "somebodies". Everybody becomes a somebody in the Body now. Everybody has a unique place and purpose in the Body and NOBODY is the "special anointed one" anymore. EVERYBODY needs EVERYBODY now.
The things that have wounded us from religious oppression will be the very things that lift us up to Christ. God is inviting all the wounded ones to come for refreshing and healing. He is not outlining only one method, one theology, one form that pleases Him. He is moving differently everywhere and touching hungry hearts ANY way He can.
We don't have time to squabble any more about what music most invites God, or whether this or that style appeals to God more than another, just because it doesn't appeal to us or isn't what God is doing in OUR place of worship. When we criticize a style of music that worships and praises the Father, we are criticizing the very soul of the composer, who is a relative of ours! How dare we criticize the souls of those who reach out to praise and worship God, whether it be rhythm and blues, jazz, cowboy music, alternative, contemporary rock, or swing - when it comes from the worshipful heart of a believer/composer, it IS the music that pleases and invites God. STOP playing "King of the Hill".
As soon as men start to make a form out of the Wind of the Spirit, as soon as they decide that because God worked that way a year ago, or a month ago, that's how the Spirit is going to work now, they have started a new religion. Let's hear what God says He wants to do today, the fresh new thing that the Holy Spirit wants to do in this place, with music, with worship, with teaching and preaching, with evangelism, with prayer. He may NOT do what you planned, where He comes from we don't know and where He's going we cannot tell. All He wants from us is to go with the wind, to hear what fresh, new thing the Father is doing today, this hour, this minute, even if it is exactly the opposite of what He did a month ago.
Should church last three hours today and should we have no form and no schedule? Then let's do that. Should we forego worship and just pray? Should we forego preaching and just worship? Should we leave the building and hit the streets today? What is He saying? Are we even OPEN to what He wants to say to us?
He is fresh, He is always changing, but His character and His purpose remain the same - to love the lost, to heal His Church, to bring back the prodigals, to heal families, to heal the sick and raise the dead and deliver the oppressed. The Wind of God may blow from the north today and the south tomorrow, from the east next week and from the west the week after.
There IS no "our way of doing things" - there is only "what are YOU saying for us to do today, Lord?"
This is the Nehemiah - the Comfort - Move of God. The revival that returns hope and healing to the broken. God isn't going to let the pastors and shepherds who oppress and control, continue to oppress and control. He will either heal them or soften them or they will not be successful. God's people, the sheep, they can hear the Shepherd now. The common people are hearing the Spirit of God, pastor listen to the common people of your congregation.
Also on TBN, Rod Parsley has been speaking on the subject of Mephibosheth, the crippled son of Jonathan that King David searched for and gave covenant blessing to by inviting him to live in the palace and sit at the king's table and inherit all that was Jonathan's. He, too, has been emphasizing the unique anointing that God is bringing to ordinary people, people who have had no 12-week training or four years of Bible school. He has been warning over and over against the elder brother attitude, and the attitude of the first hour harvesters toward those brought in the last who receive the same giftings.
I've been hearing God say that for over a year: Watch out, Church, watch out what you are thinking about your little sister or brother. Watch out what you say about their giftings, their music, their style, their callings, their methodology. There is no one methodology, gifting, music, style, calling - there is just one GOD who will do it all HIS way. Watch out what you say about the new ones just coming in who haven't been in the fields since the first hour, who haven't stayed at home with the Father and served Him faithfully. Don't criticize what is coming from the very soul and spirit of your brother or sister - else you lose your place in the harvest! Don't criticize TBN, the Foursquare Church, the Assemblies, the Baptists, the Vineyard, the Catholics, the Missionary Alliance, the Friends Church. And watch out what God just might do in those groups that you have always called "sects" and "cults". If He could take the Church of God of Prophesy and turn it from a cult into a fundamental, Bible-believing, evangelical church, He can do it elsewhere. There is NO TELLING what God can or will do in this Revival.
No more playing "king of the hill". There is only one King and His name is Jesus. God the Father is the Lord of the Harvest, not you, not any one group, not any denomination, not any association, not any methodology and certainly not any religion. It is just Jesus Christ and Him glorified!
Stay open, stay flexible, stay ready to change direction at the drop of hat!
In His Love,
Nola Smith
