WHAT WE (LEADERS IN THE CHURCH) DO NOT DEAL WITH IN THE CLOSET, HE WILL EXPOSE IN PUBLIC

Sep 15, 1998
To: Steve Shultz, moderator "Elijah List" Frances Pike is a well respected Intercessor. She gave this word at a weekly prayer meeting of 'Oklahoma Concert of Prayer'. I felt it was a word that could be shared on the Elijah List and thus I submit it to you for your consideration. I sent Frances a few articles recently posted that related to what she received from the Lord and asked her if I could submit this to you. Below is her reply.
HIS, Mike

Mike, Thank you for your kind words and the Elijah List articles. They were rather confirming. I do grant permission to send the following to the list.
WHAT WE (LEADERS IN THE CHURCH) DO NOT DEAL WITH IN THE CLOSET, HE WILL EXPOSE IN PUBLIC
On August 17, 1998 I was seeking the Lord about what He might be revealing to His people in the midst of the confession of our President. He seemed to speak these things to me.
The Church affects the nation, not the nation affecting the Church. Indeed the Church has affected the nation, just not as I desire. You have seen a picture of leadership in your nation. Leaders who expect an exception for their conduct. Leaders who have to be backed into a corner to make a confession. Leaders who cover the truth for their own reputation's sake. Leaders who do according to the dictates of their own mind and say it is a private matter. Leaders who yield to the fear of man's opinion rather than the fear of God. Leaders who deal treacherously and cover it with their own good works.
A deceitful and unfaithful heart will be revealed among God's leaders. This is the hour He is backing us into our closets to deal with our own secret sins. What we do not deal with in the closet, He will expose in public. When God gets His leaders in order then we will see the nation come into order.
May we as leaders in the body of Christ take to heart what God is doing in this hour. The season of cover-up is over. Now is the time to let the refiner's fire purify our motives, attitudes and personal agendas.
