This is a very important season and a kairos time of shifting for the Body of Christ. Recently, I have been awakened early in the morning, hearing different sounds. I have become very aware that these are sounds from Heaven, and the Lord is using these sounds to get my attention. I wrote recently about waking up to the sound of an alarm clock and hearing the Lord say, "Wake up to Isaiah 51." (Click here to read article.) It concerns the Body of Christ waking up and being alerted as we enter into a season of great faith. We must rely on a very firm foundation of faith during this season and use the Word of God--our weapon of warfare to wage war against Leviathan and Rahab. These are territorial spirits that oppose the Body of Christ from leaving "Egypt" behind in order to press into destiny (see Job 9:13, Psalm 89:9-10).

As we cross another threshold, the enemy has attempted to suffocate God's children and squeeze the breath out of us, but he has failed! There is no need to fear the enemy; we are only to be alerted to his tactics that hinder our movements so that we can destroy them through Christ and our weapons of warfare.
We are entering times of great blessing, yet not without spiritual warfare. There is a shift from the old to the new. We must leave Egypt, leaving the past behind, and go through a new gate in 2008. This next year will be a year of many, many gates. Be steadfast and ready to move through several gates quickly, because His wind is blowing. These are kairos moments and "suddenlies."
Sound Creates Movement
Knowing that sound creates movement, I am fully aware when God reveals a sound of Heaven, I must then hear that sound and MOVE. Just as when the trumpet and shofar would be blown before the camp of Israel moved, so must we transition with the different sounds from Heaven. These are all "wake-up calls" in my personal opinion. Precious believers, God is speaking! Do not allow pride to exalt itself in your life, but rather humble yourself under His hand. Be pliable, allow Him to mold you and fashion you during this season. God wants to use you for His glory in 2008!
Again just recently, I was awakened with the sound of chimes and bells. It was a wind blowing through chimes and there were three different times that I heard them "ring." The first sound was clear and distinct. The second ring was faint, and the third could barely be heard! I was jolted when I realized that I could have responded to the first "ring!" What if I had totally ignored it? After all, it grew faint each time it rang. I believe this is what the Lord refers to as "dull of hearing!" We are not responding quickly enough; we have become too passive concerning the things of God.
Hebrews 5:7-12 exposes those who have become dull of hearing because of legalism and a lack of personal relationship with the Lord. If our heart is dull, our hearing is dull. The Lord is encouraging us to return to the principles of faith in God and seek Him with our whole heart.
Demonstration and Power
I believe that God is going to release the Body into a season of demonstration and power. Many of you have heard me say that signs and wonders should "follow us." Well that is exactly what the Word of God states, right? However, at times we get so busy jumping from one meeting to another "following" after the signs and wonders, we don't spend enough personal, intimate time with God. Dear ones, it is in that Secret Place that we are empowered and changed into His image. We must enter into a season of rest and know that His desire is to impart His nature into us so that we can be containers of His anointing.

God desires that we demonstrate His power wherever we go. Just as Paul, Silas and Timothy moved in power when they visited Thessalonica, God wants to use us in the very same way. The Lord is saying that simply speaking words is no longer enough; there must be a demonstration of "power" wherever we go! Observe the following passage and note the italicized words taken from 1 Thessalonians 1:2-10. It is a letter from Paul, Silas and Timothy to the Church in Thessalonica:
"We always thank God for all of you and pray for your constantly faithful work. As we talk to our God and Father about you, we think of you, your loving deeds, and your continual anticipation of the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We know that God loves you, dear brothers and sisters, and that He chose you to be His own people. For when we brought you the Good News, it was not only with words but also with power, for the Holy Spirit gave you full assurance that what we said was true. And you know that the way we lived among you was further proof of the truth of our message. So you received the message with joy from the Holy Spirit in spite of the severe suffering it brought you. In this way, you imitated both us and the Lord. As a result, you yourselves became an example to all the Christians in Greece.
And now the word of the Lord is 'ringing out' from you to people everywhere, even beyond Greece, for wherever we go we find people telling us about your faith in God. We don't need to tell them about it, for they themselves keep talking about the wonderful welcome you gave us and how you turned away from idols to serve the true and living God. And they speak of how you are looking forward to the coming of God's Son from Heaven--Jesus, whom God raised from the dead. He is the one who has rescued us from the terrors of the coming judgment."

Did you notice that verse 8 states that the word of God was "ringing out" from them? Why? Because of these reasons:
1. They were thankful. (We must remain thankful to God at all times or else we give open door to seducing spirits. See 1 Timothy 4:1-5.)
2. They continued to pray and remain faithful in their work for God.
3. They loved others. (The key to evangelism is always love!)
4. They anticipated a move of God.
5. They received the message from God with joy even though they were enduring hardship. (If we serve God, persecution is inevitable--just don't allow it to steal your joy.)
6. They experienced power because they had turned away from all idolatry and false images to serve the true and living God. (Remember idolatry is not simply bowing down to a statue; any false image we have of ourselves or of God is considered idolatry!)
Bottom Line: In this new year, God wants us to have a determination to press in for His POWER! Let's be thankful that God desires to use us for His glory. We could have been born during another time, but He is choosing to use us NOW! We must remain at our gate, fulfilling our assignments and though there is warfare, we must understand that Christ has already won the battle for us.
Our job is to remain in position, believe, and respond to His leading. Be careful not to take offense with others, knowing that the accuser of the brethren works overtime during times of transition. And, once more, check your heart to be sure there is no idolatry remaining. Ask if you have a false image of yourself or even of God. If so, repent and respond properly--believing that He is Who He states that He is! All things are possible for you--if you will only believe!
Anticipate His power!
