You will suddenly be aware that your inward struggle and worry did not help one bit. Certainly, I am with you to bring resolution to every dilemma and to simplify even the most complex problems. Trust Me with your whole heart," says the Lord. Lamentations 3:22-25, "Through the LORD'S mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. 'The LORD is my portion,' says my soul, 'Therefore I hope in Him!' The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him."

Catherine Brown: Fire from Heaven

Whilst in prayer on October 23, 2007, the Holy Spirit powerfully interceded through me for the continent of Africa, with an emphasis at times for Sudan.

My prayer time commenced with a vision of a wall of fire spreading around the entire continent of Africa, until the complete perimeter of the African continent was engulfed with flames, and every African nation had been included. This was a sovereign and corporate outpouring of God's holy fire from Heaven. It speaks of the coming of the Kingdom of God; it is a picture for now and yet it is a picture of what is yet to come. God's fire speaks of both judgment and mercy.

In 2 Peter 3, the Apostle speaks of the fire of God in relation to the mercy and judgment of God. Peter helps us to understand that the Lord is patient and loving, "not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." (Verse 9)

Having laid a Godly foundation of agape love, Peter exhorts the reader to comprehend that the day of the Lord will come like a thief. He speaks of the fire of God and tells us, "The Heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare." (Verse 10)

I began to call on God for Africa to fulfill her destiny and as I prayed, the wall of fire caused more fire to break out all across Africa. I prophesied for the raising up of African prayer networks--for anointed Africans to begin to pray for unity as different African tribes hold each other up in intercessory prayer.

I hear the Spirit of the Lord say, "Africa must rise and pray for Africa, for within the indigenous African prayer networks is the anointing to bring down evil principalities, wicked rulers and demonic authorities--but my children must pray in unity. The sin of betrayal must be forgiven so that bridges of trust can be built for My glory to move upon."

I believe God is calling African nations to intercede for His Sudanese bride at this time. I saw a joining of the small flames in the land, which represents increased networking with particular emphasis of leaders and prayer networks.

I hear the Spirit of the Lord say, "Pray for the safety of the innocence. Pray for My love to conquer all. Pray for peace in the midst of chaos. Pray for miracles in the midst of the maelstrom of violence. Pray for angels to be released on assignment to depose the dark forces that are gathering over Sudan. Pray for Israel."

I continued to pray for some time, for the fire of God to fall in Sudan in particular, and also across Africa in general. I prayed for protection, sanctification and cleansing by the fire of God. I called down holy fire from Heaven to earth, and as I prayed, I saw the fire manifest on the earth.

The Lord says, "I am going to send unusual manifestations of fire and wind on Africa in this new season--as the angel of the four winds of Heaven is released on his global mandate."

The Four Winds of Heaven

I was instructed to pray for the release of the angel that holds the four winds of Heaven (Daniel 7:2; Daniel 8:8). I did so in the fear of the Lord and with His governmental authority. Immediately I witnessed wind and fire being released in the Heavenly realms all across the continent of Africa.

God says, "There shall be strange and inexplicable manifestations of wind and fire across and throughout Africa in this season." With these words, I witnessed spontaneous combustion happening on profane and unholy altars. Some of these altars were in churches, some were satanic altars, others were witchcraft altars. All were burning under the holy fire of Heaven. I called on the Father to release mercy even in the midst of judgment.

Spiritual Demonic Eyes Closed

I saw many eyes over Africa. These were the eyes of evil spirits, which were surrounded by an impenetrable darkness; nonetheless they were exposed by the Holy Spirit. I prayed with conviction and in the power of the Holy Spirit, and decreed the closing of the eyes of the evil spirits who had been sent on assignment to observe and spy on Kingdom plans, activities and God's servants. As I prayed, the eyes of the evil spirits were shut. Hallelujah!

In 2 Kings 6, we read how the Lord trapped the Arameans and blinded the eyes of Israel's enemies. "As the enemy came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, 'Strike these people with blindness.' So he struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked." (Verse 18)

God's Servants Eyes Opened

I prophesied for warrior angels to be released in Africa to combat the powers and principalities over the continent. As I saw them being released in the Heavenly realms, I continued to intercede for the eyes of God's servants to be opened in like manner to Elisha's servant's spiritual eyes being opened just before the battle.

We read also in 2 Kings 6, "'Don't be afraid,' the prophet answered. 'Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.' And Elisha prayed, 'O Lord, open his eyes so he may see.' Then the Lord opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha." (Verses 16-17)

The Lion of Judah Roars over Africa

I noticed a proud lion prowling around Africa, in particular on the north east and central belt. I declared, "Praise will blaze across Africa" in prophetic obedience to the Holy Spirit. As I pronounced this Heavenly decree, the face of Jesus appeared as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah in the Heavens. He roared so loudly that the ground shook and the lion (the enemy of our souls) could not withstand the revelation of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. His Kingly attributes caused the once prowling lion to tremble and withdraw.

In speaking of the fire of God, in 2 Peter 3, Apostle Peter tells us that: "The Heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare."
