VISION - WHITE LINEN OVER GERMANY

INTRODUCTION This vision was given on Saturday 11 July, 1998 (the day of Prayer for Germany) .

THE VISION Part 1

During prayer time this morning, the Lord showed me many, many Churches in Germany. There was a strange phenomena taking place. It was as if there was a fire and it was imploding INTO the Churches. After the fire had imploded it then exploded out from the Churches and I could see that they were all ablaze. I believe this is a work of refining and holiness of the Holy Spirit on His people, which will be followed by an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the nation.

This afternoon as the Lord laid Germany on my heart, I could see the outline of the nation of Germany and I could see an enormous flag descending upon it. The colors were red, yellow and black. It entirely covered the nation and seemed to be held down in many places. As I looked closer I could see that there were many hands holding the flag and yet there was a wind which was blowing and trying to lift if off the land. The Lord showed me this flag is symbolic of national/denominational pride and it was being held down by "religion". Many denominations were represented in the places where the flag was held.

I thought of 2 Chronicles 7:14 and it seemed such a now scripture for Germany. The Lord reminded me again of the churches this morning which were ablaze with the Holy Spirit. I felt He was saying "I am calling you to lift up holy hands, My beloved Germany. I am doing a work from the inside on My people, a refining to bring holiness. That you might take it out to the nation. I am calling you to a time of sanctification. I am stripping away before the anointing says the Lord, for surely in your nakedness I will cover you with My righteousness for I am your Father who loves you and desires the best for you. I desire that all should come to repentance and that none should perish and I am doing a work of preparation in this nation that My Spirit might be poured out in great measure. That all men will be drawn to Me, for surely as My Son is lifted up, so shall all men be drawn to Me".

From this I could see that many hearts were responding to the Lord's call to pray for this nation, and as His holiness descended upon Germany, by the lifting of holy hands in prayer and supplication, a great Wind came and it blew from the 4 corners and carried away the flag, carrying away the pride because the people had come in humility before God and were crying out to Him to heal the land. I could see that Nazi slogans were being swept away also in the Wind. I could see that there were many in Germany who were embracing Israel upon their hearts. There was such a sense of redeeming. Such a sense of laying down the past and walking in the anointing of today, for the future of this precious nation in the hands of our Father. Such a sense of healing from the Father, to so many who were hurting, the oil of Gilead was truly flowing to bring healing and to bring peace.

I was reminded of Peter and how the Lord showed him in a vision of a white sheet descending from Heaven, that salvation was not just for the Jew but also for the Gentile. I believe this particular vision is the Lord's way of reminding us that salvation is not just for the Gentile but also for the Jew. The "tables" as it were, have turned.

As the flag was blown away, I could see an enormous white dove settling over Germany. The presence of the Holy Spirit was descending mightily upon the nation and He was draping white linen across the land, where the flag of national pride had once been, now was replaced by the righteousness of Jesus, (the linen being symbolic of the righteous acts of the saints).

I could see that the saints were joining hands all across the nation. The whole of Germany was ablaze with white linen, with the saints joined in prayer, there was such an outpouring of faith, such unity, such beautiful obedience to Jesus. From the center of the land I could see an enormous cross begin to rise out of the earth and over the nation. The redemptive gift of the cross was now being displayed resplendent from the very center of the land. The name of Jesus the banner over Germany.

The colors show in the vision - black, red and yellow - they are the colors of the German flag and also, the colors of the Belgium flag - one goes horizontal wise and the other vertical wise, but the colors are the same. I did not know the flags of each of these countries and the Lord gave this to me as part of the interpretation, explaining that the colors represented the flags of the nation of Germany and that of the nation of Belgium.

Part 2

There was also another image which seemed to be a part of the vision - I could see there was a huge bridge being built which seemed to be going to Brussels. I could see the colors black, red and yellow but this time they were flowing in a vertical way and they seemed to be flowing from Germany back across the Belgium. I sensed that the Lord was building a "bridge" - perhaps a bridge to revival? I sensed that this was a bridge which was not built for "power" or "politics" but it was being built for Kingdom purposes.
