In 2 Peter 1:16-18 it says, "For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: 'This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased' and we heard this voice which came from Heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain, and so we have the prophetic word confirmed...."

Amazingly, Peter, James and John based their entire expose' upon a word that they overheard given to Christ on a mountain and in the presence of two other Heavenly witnesses, Elijah and Moses. They didn't go back and compare notes with others but simply believed what they heard. How refreshing! In this day and age, most people question their "hearing" because they fear religious retaliation. Proverbs 29:25 states that the fear of man is a snare, and once you are ensnared by it, you will never hear God.

Even though we, as spiritual leaders, are aware of the dangers of anyone just simply "hearing" a voice and then claiming that it's God, it is equally as dangerous to forbid God's people from telling what they heard. If it wasn't God, they will eventually learn. There is no way that we can stop God from speaking to His people (and others) directly or indirectly. Who are we to be the ones to decide what is God and what is not, unless it is entirely unscriptural and outside of the revealed character of God? We can teach them to judge what they hear, based on the Scriptures and give them guidelines, but to forbid them and place them in fear of being "stoned" is ridiculous. That is control.

I was reading recently in Isaiah regarding the spider, which in this context is a most suggestive picture of the hypocrite's religion. It is meant to catch its prey.

Spider's Web

Isaiah 59:5, "They hatch vipers' eggs and they weave the spiders web."

The spider fattens himself on flies, and the Pharisee has his reward. Philip baptized Simon Magus, whose guileful declaration of faith was soon exploded by the stern rebuke of Peter. We have to watch out for the flies that are easily entrapped by the loud professions of pretenders. Custom, reputation, praise, advancement and other flies are the small game, which hypocrites take in their nets. The great preacher Charles Spurgeon writes about this subject so adequately that I have to quote:

"A spider's web is a marvel of skill; look at it and admire the cunning hunter's wiles. Is not a deceiver's religion equally wonderful? A spider's web comes all from the creature's own bowels. The bee gathers her wax from flowers, the spider sucks no flowers, and yet she spins out her material to any length. Even so, hypocrites find their trust and hope within themselves; their anchor was forged on their own anvil, and their cable twisted by their own hands. They lay their own foundation, and hew out the pillars of their own house, disdaining to be debtors to the sovereign grace of God. But a spider's web is very frail. It is curiously wrought, but not enduringly manufactured. It is no match for the servant's broom, or the traveler's staff. Such cobwebs are not endured in the Lord's house."

If you read John 15, which is one of my favorite chapters in the New Testament, you will see that Jesus deals with His disciples with tremendous openness, love and trust. John 15:14-16 says, "You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. (This represents present and future--after His resurrection). No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what His master is doing, but I have called you friends for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain...."

I want you to notice a few things about our Lord and His manner and attitude toward His followers. Obviously, after His death, Christ would still be communicating with His disciples, and their ongoing obedience to His commands ensured this intimate "friendship." This meant that He would be communicating with them until they died. Why would we find this strange today? When we suggest that GOD is not speaking to us today, and some even discourage it, we are avoiding something beautiful developing in these precious followers--obedience and a growing friendship with Jesus Christ. Jesus' commandments in the Scriptures are one thing, but to "do whatever He commands us" is different. After the resurrection, Jesus spoke to Saul while he was on his way to jail Christians.

Acts 26:14-15, "And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, 'Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.' So I said, 'Who are You Lord?' And He said, 'I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.'" Paul clearly heard the voice of God and obeyed, thus drawing him into a special relationship with Christ, to the point of him writing three-quarters of the New Testament.

He commanded Paul in Acts 22:17-18, "Now it happened, when I returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple, that I was in a trance and saw Him saying to me, 'Make haste and get out of Jerusalem quickly, for they will not receive your testimony concerning Me.'"

Continual communication equals continual obedience (or disobedience) and progressive intimate friendship and trust. Why would anyone want to steal this from a follower of Christ? And yet the blind rulers in "Christian" churches would punish anyone who gets close to hearing God for fear that they would make a mistake and bring shame to the Kingdom of God. The word "friend" in Greek is "phileos" and "philogos", which means "someone to talk to." God's desire is not only that we have someone to talk to, but also that He has someone to talk to. Jesus said to His disciples in John 15:3, "You are already clean because of the words which I have spoken to you."

"My Sheep Hear My Voice"

Jesus said in John 10:27, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow me." Christ is walking on the earth today in a different way, but needs His sheep to hear His voice in order to accomplish His will.

Most people think that it's so easy for me to hear God and that there is never a battle. Let me share a story with you:

During the early part of 2007, God began to deal with me regarding signs that He was sending to the earth through the disruption of weather patterns. (You can read about these on my website.) God had spoken to me about the fact that this would work in favor of His people and specifically how the weather manifestations in the USA, would be a sign of the dawning of a great spiritual era. The challenge to anyone in my position is to be sure that this is, in fact, God saying these things and, so, there is a reservation but not a fear of man. I don't care what men say about me and if I did, I would never have prophesied the many things that have come to pass.

I had a spiritual regurgitation of this prophetic word, and I use the word "regurgitate" because that's the best way to explain what happens when a prophetic word is given. My wife, Jane, has a love for birds and parrots in general, and there is a procedure that takes place between the baby and the mother that is quite disgusting, but it has a lesson in it--regurgitation. The birds feed their young by regurgitating what they have already swallowed.

When I prophesy, I feel like I've eaten the words that have been given to me by God, and only then can I bring them up for the nourishment of the people. Excuse the analogy, but this is the best way to describe this highly spiritual experience. Jesus has fed or given His words to me, I have taken them in, completely swallowed them and then given back. These words have almost completely become part of my entire being. The words that God gives us are not for our nourishment only, but to feed others as well. If you keep it for yourself, corruption will set in and you will be consumed by pride and haughtiness.

Aside from the fact that we have seen these signs in the form of waters being poured from the Heaven in the South, fires in the middle of the nation and the West Coast, and a tornado in the Northeast, I have also prophesied that there would be three earthquakes in the USA. When I prophesied this, God showed me that there were a few weather manifestations that meant something spiritually. Water from the Heavens--outpouring of many great spiritual blessings--showers--various kinds of blessings. Fire on the earth--purging and cleansing--restoration. Wind in the east of the USA--spiritual breath and cleansing.

The three earthquakes were also to be a sign of blessings to come and not judgment. Why shake the earth? God said that it would be a sign that the powers of hell beneath the earth and beneath our feet were shaken and rendered hopeless as we positioned ourselves spiritually and used our authority. Three different principalities would be shaken.

I live in California now. Recently as I was just fallen asleep, I heard my wife Jane say, "Earthquake, earthquake!" I felt the results of a 4.6 magnitude earthquake that started just a few miles away from my house. There was a feeling of peace in my heart as the earth shook and my son came running into my room and said, "Dad, why did you prophesy an earthquake now that we live in California?!" We all sat together and discussed the power that God has to manifest Himself through the elements and how He could tell us before it happened and the reason.

It is A New Era--A New Season

You are the prophetic people who have access to events before they happen simply because you stand with me and support the future. It is my privilege to constantly pray and seek God as I travel and minister for Him to feed me His words so that many will ultimately receive Yeshua into their lives.

I want to share something with you and even though you have been faithful in your financial support, I pray that this month you would add something special in your offering. THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT TIME FOR THE PROPHET TO BE HEARD. There is a huge battle going on in the political and spiritual realm and especially towards the Jewish people in the USA. God has equipped me with so many prophetic words that are coming to pass before our very eyes every day. Even in my prayer chamber recently, I heard something that shook me, and I will be ministering it in the next few meetings as He gives me freedom to utter it.

During the time of Elisha, while he was ministering to the Syrian Commander, Naaman, a powerful leader that was stricken with leprosy, Elisha refused an enormous financial gift from the Commander and asked the question, "Is it time to receive money...?" Of course, the answer was no. 2 Kings 5:26 tells us that Elisha knew that there were times in the prophet's ministry when he would not be receiving, and then there would be times when he would.
