Prophetic-School Training 101

ANNOUNCING: On-Line Prophetic Training/Activation course: Prophetic-School Training 101 a combination of teaching lessons and workshop (activations). [This is a repeat of last year's course. If you missed it last year, you can take it now. It you took it last year and would like to repeat it, you are welcome to do so.]

WHEN: begins Jan 11, 1999, continues for 10 weeks

MEDIUM: Course material will be sent out through the prophetic-school list. There will be five forums for doing the activation (workshop): email, AOL Chatroom, ICQ Chat, IRC group or have participants form their own local live groups with friends, church members, etc.

OBJECTIVE: To become properly prepared to be able to hear the voice of the Lord, for ourselves and for others. Also to know what the Lord expects in terms of character from those He would regularly use to speak on His behalf to others.

This course will start at a most basic level and progressively move to more involved levels of the prophetic. At the very least, the teaching material and practice sessions (called activations) will improve a person's devotional life by helping us know how to be quiet and listen to the Holy Spirit more effectively. In more gifted individuals, the activations have the potential to reveal a true prophetic gift and ability to "flow" in the prophetic.

This course will not make prophets of those whom the Lord has not called as prophets and hence, should not be seen as the means of one's release in the local church to prophesy at will.

DESCRIPTION: This training is very similar to the training provided at many Prophetic Schools (such as Christian International's 13 week course), but adapted for the internet. It is a teaching and activation series, designed to move people to be able to hear God's voice with clarity and (if so gifted) to minister prophetically with confidence and accuracy. The course contains sound bible-based teaching on the prophetic and practical instructions to teach students how to discern God's voice clearly and how to develop their prophetic gifting. It also contains a series of carefully orchestrated activation exercises, which are best if done in a small group setting, but which are also adapted for email and IRC/ICQ/AOL Chatroom forums. We will offer one or more AOL, ICQ and IRC groups per week under the supervision of a trained instructor.

The primary work of running this course is being done by a fairly large subset of the core: Donna Cox - lead AOL Chatroom Activation Group (for new class members only, not open to those who are currently participating in the AOL activation group). Jane Fitz-Gibbon- lead IRC Activation Group (for new class members only, not open to those already participating on the IRC activation group). Jane will also continue to run the current group for the "more advanced" students who have already been participating in it. This group will also do the activation exercises with the course. Jim Mellard - lead the existing AOL Chatroom Activation group through the course activation exercises. Jim Paul - Advisor For The Leaders Of The Local "Live" Activation Groups. Jim will be available for local group leaders to ask for advice on issues/questions related to running their local groups. Teresa Seputis - General Coordinator, Jim Wies - Lead Email Activation Group.

In addition to the leadership core, we have one very qualified individual, Steve Snow, who will be leading the ICQ acitvaitions.

FEES: No fees. Free.

However, we would prefer that you touch bases with your local pastor or another leader from your church and receive their permission/blessing to participate in this training.
