BOB JONES AND KEITH DAVIS ON: PRESIDENT CLINTON AND THE THREE FLAGS
Dear Steve,
Following you will find some of our insights involving our president and current events. Hopefully, the Lord will continue to give us more clarity as we pursue to know Him more intimately and share His thoughts and ways.
Like yourself and many others, I found it very difficult praying for Bill Clinton. However, I did so out of humanistic obedience to a word coming through a prophetic friend that I highly regard. Thankfully, that changed during a conversation with Paul Cain. As we were discussing our president, I saw in brother Cain's eyes genuine divine love for Bill Clinton. Brother Cain even commented that he was glad that the Lord put love in his heart for our president BEFORE he discovered our presidents political positions. I knew the love I saw in Paul Cain was only a glimmer of the love that the Lord has for this man. From that point on I have been able to pray out of a heart of compassion for our president’s salvation and deliverance from the obvious bondage that he is living under. The early church did so for the persecutor Saul and the Lord made him the Apostle Paul.
At the time of the first election Bob [Jones] was given a vision illustrating the years of Bill Clinton term. He was shown three flags for this illustration... one blue, one red and another pale white. The blue represented many revelations that would be surfacing during the early stages of his presidency. The red represented the continual conflicts that would exist during his term. The pale flag represented the last portion of his term in office and symbolized that it would be "hell on earth". However, the very end of this flag was a pure white denoting a release of God's glory during the final days of his term of office. Thus far, the Lord has not shown Bob anything to the contrary so we are standing on this revelation trusting the Lord to bring it to pass.
We have been watching with considerable interest the events of the last 45 days in Washington involving Israel and the Palestinians. The decisions made involving Israel could also dictate our presidents future as well as Benjamin Netanyahu. We must continue to pray for Bill Clinton and the prime minister of Israel. Netanyahu is a good man, however, considerable pressure was placed upon him to make a potentially bad decision. That is also why we should continue to pray for our president so that he will not make damaging decisions involving Israel out of political pressure. One thing is certain, our current vice president is no friend to Israel nor to the Church.
The Lord seems to be surprisingly silent, at least as far as we are concerned, involving the events of recent days. He did make it clear that our latest skirmish with Iraq is not a righteous action and will reap difficult and expensive dividends."
Blessings
Keith Davis
