Catherine Brown: "FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD--A MEDITATION OF GOD'S
UNCONDITIONAL LOVE FOR YOU"
"Let the power and authority of God's love reaffirm your Kingdom identity and
release your heart."
"For God so loved the world that
He
gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but
have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the
world, but to save the world through Him.
Whoever believes in
Him is not
condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has
not believed in the name of God's one and only Son."
JOHN 3:16-18
Have you ever stopped to consider the unfathomable generosity God expresses to
us in His love? I've put together a few points of thought to help you meditate on God's love, and please feel free to use them for prayer
and preaching if you find them helpful.
UNFATHOMABLE GENEROSITY
God gave us ALL in Jesus.
All is the most that anyone can give.
God's love is unfathomable in its generosity.
Take a moment to allow that beautiful revelation to wash over you in waves of
glory.
UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
There are no "catches" or gimmicks to the Lord's unconditional love. God's love
for us is the best.
The quality of God's love is exceptional. There is no better love from
the Father
than the love that is embodied in His Son, whom He gave to us in totality.
God kept nothing back from us.
His everlasting love gifts us with everlasting life.
Let the fresh breeze of the Spirit captivate your heart once more with His
unconditional love.
UNBELIEVABLE SALVATION?
God said "whoever" --that means all are included; no one is left out. Everyone
has the possibility and potential to be in Christ's Kingdom.
There is no "substitute team" in God's Kingdom--only team players. It's all
inclusive and non-elitist.
God longs for all mankind to receive His Son and
His salvation.
Jesus made restitution for our sins, paying back the sins of Adam with
His
blood.
Allow the Lord to warm your heart today with the reality of His life-giving love
and sonship. Let Him free you from all rejection and worthlessness. Your
identity is in your sonship as belonging to Abba Father.
UNATTAINABLE ETERNAL LIFE?
The only way to the Father is through relationship with Jesus. The hope of
eternal life is in Christ alone. Our own efforts could never save us--only the
sacrifice of the Lord Jesus on the Cross.
He took our place, carried our sins, and bore our sickness to bring us divine
healing and forgiveness.
Eternal life is unattainable in our humanity and attainable only into the
divinity of Jesus Christ.
Let the security of your promised eternal life build your faith once more and
step out into the fullness of your Kingdom destiny.
UNIMAGINABLE PROMISE?
It almost seems too good to be true--not just "something for nothing" as the
world might promise us. But His love promises "everything at no cost," which is the love our Father offers
us in Christ.
His grace is free to all who ask.
Jesus longs to love us, and give us the promise of eternal life and a quality of
life in this earth too, which is acceptance by God, adoption into His family, security in
our relationship, and the blessing of His love and favor.
His love is eternal in quality--Jesus' love will never fail you.
Take a moment to reflect on the inheritance Christ has purchased for you at the
Cross--what a glorious and privileged position we have as sons of our Father
God.
UNDAUNTED GOD
God doesn't give up on us easily--everyone else might turn their backs on us, but
not God.
No matter how far we have run from Him, no matter what we have done in our lives,
He loves us all, and He calls us all.
We might give up on ourselves, and others might give up on us, but the Holy Spirit
will persist and pursue us until we surrender to His love!
God is "in it" for the finish line, not just the beginning. We need only look to
the illustration of the prodigal son to be reminded of God's undaunted love.
Let the power and authority of God's love reaffirm your Kingdom identity and
release your heart. Let's give thanks for every spiritual blessing Jesus has placed in
our lives.
Yours in the love of Christ,
Catherine Brown
