I love integrity. What's more, I love it when one has the ability and integrity to correct things which were inadvertently exaggerated, while at the same time speaking up for the genuine non-exaggerated miracle-working power of God and what He is doing. I commend the integrity of Pastor Howell from Cornerstone Christian Church in Grants Pass, Oregon.--Steve Shultz
GOLD TOOTH IN GRANTS PASS -- CORRECTION AND TESTIMONY OF THE GENUINE -- By Pastor Howell
Date: Wed, 14 Apr 1999 From: "Pastor Dale Howell"
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. My name is Dale Howell, and I Pastor Cornerstone Church in Grants Pass, Oregon. I find it necessary to write to you concerning the miracle of the Gold tooth that was reported to you from last Sunday's service. After examining dental records we discovered that the crown was an existing one. I would like to give an explanation of how it ever got reported as genuine.
The fault is all mine. Here is what happened. As the gold dust began to come down (it really did come down), I suggested people have someone look in their mouths to see if the Lord had done any miracles in the way of gold teeth or fillings. Someone shouted out we have a miracle down here, a gold crown. My associate Pastor was a dentist for 30 years, so I asked him to check it.
He had gone down to examine the tooth to give me an opinion on it, but after examining the tooth he disappeared in the crowd. Those who were gathered around the lady were very excited and were calling to me to tell everyone about the miracle. I called out for my associate twice but there was no response, so I asked the people gathered around her if he had examined her mouth fully and they assured me that he had and that he had said it was genuine. Based on that I announced it over the microphone to all the people.
Later, I talked with my associate and he said that he doubted that it was a new crown, but when he tried to tell the lady that, her husband asserted that it was genuine and that he ought to know. My associate felt it would be counterproductive to debate it, so he just said; ok, but please verify it by her dental records. It is regrettable that I did not wait to hear his opinion. It would never have been announced. Having said all this, let me say in defense of what the Lord is genuinely doing, that I was in the Friday night meeting at Reedsport, Oregon where a lady received 5 gold crowns. She was sitting in the row directly in front of me one seat to my left.
When the gold crowns were discovered my associate examined them within seconds of their discovery and he told everyone; I can't say if this is a miracle or not but I can tell you that these are new and that it is very good work. He also commented on the color of the gold being different from anything he had seen in dentistry. I watched him examine her mouth again with a penlight flashlight. I watched him examine every tooth carefully, upper and lower. Why this is so important was because when he examined her there were 4 gold crowns.
About thirty minutes later a 5th gold crown was discovered on an upper molar. I do not believe that he could have missed this tooth. It came supernaturally after the first 4. Finally, I would like to say the gold dust at our church was very real. It was seen on the over 50 people. Mostly on hands but also on clothing. There was a power of God in the service that is rare. One young boy fell at his father's feet under the power and gold dust began to appear on one side of him.
I believe you have heard about the miracles of the Gold teeth and gold dust in Darrell Stotts meeting in Florida. Darrell is going to be with us on Sunday in a morning and evening service. I am confident that there will be more of the genuine. I will keep you posted.
His humbled servant,
Dale Howell
