An insight into the enemy's plans for the War in Yugoslavia - By David White

"And he wrote in the letter, saying, "Set Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retreat from him, that he may be struck down and die…and Uriah the Hittite died also." (II Samuel 11:15, 17b)

We are in the middle of a regional-wide 40-day fast in South Alabama. The 40 days are being covered by the participation of many churches. While walking into a noon prayer meeting on April 8th, the Lord began to speak to me to, ‘PRAY FOR URIAH’! With the word, came a sense of urgency.

Uriah was the husband of Bathsheba. He was an innocent and loyal soldier in King David’s army. He was one of David’s 30 Mighty Men. King David purposefully sent Uriah into the forefront of battle, with the hope that he would be killed. David’s plan succeeded. Uriah’s death was a planned attempt by the king to further cover his sin with Uriah’s wife, Bathsheba. King David’s actions greatly ‘displeased’ the Lord, (II Sam. 11:27).

The Lord began to speak to me that Uriah represents literally thousands and thousands of young men and young women, who would be killed should the war continue to escalate in Yugoslavia. The escalation of the war in Yugoslavia is a planned attempt to further cover the sins of wicked leadership. (This is not just about sexual sin, but includes much deeper atrocities with much wider ramifications.) "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan." (Proverbs 29:2)

We have been reminded in the past, that at both the births of Moses and Jesus, children died. Each occasion was a demonic attempt to kill these children whose lives would both greatly affect the world. Many innocent children died as a part of these two designed demonic plots. However by the providence of God, both Moses and Jesus escaped harm.

It has become apparent to many, that since 1972, when abortion became legal, that many children have died as a part of another demonically designed plot. This plot was and is an attempt to kill many children who would be used mightily in the end-time harvest. Satan has attempted to kill many future apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors, and teachers. Abortion alone has claimed the lives of over 35 million innocent children in just the United States. However other means, such as teenage suicide, teenage violence, automobile accidents, drugs, etc. have all added to the numbers that abortion has claimed.

Many children have escaped all of these attempts to destroy this generation that has been named by some as ‘Generation X’. This name as well, was demonically inspired as Satan’s design has been to ‘X’ out this generation, which will be mightily used in the coming harvest and in God’s end-time purposes.

Although what men have planned to occur in Yugoslavia is evil, they are being used in a far greater evil. This is a demonically inspired plot to further carry out the plan of Satan that began around 1972. This is a second attempt by Satan to kill those who have escaped the onslaught against this generation. This would affect the generation whose ages are around 27 years old and younger. This includes the ages of those who would fight in the war that is planned in Yugoslavia and would spread to other nations. How can we pray for this?

1. Pray for Uriah. Pray for God’s mercy and protection on this generation. Pray that the Uriah’s of the world will escape this additional attempt to take them out of what God has planned for them.

2. Pray that God will raise up Nathan’s. Nathan the prophet, confronted the sins of the King, (Ephesians 5:11). What King David did in secret, Nathan exposed publicly. Yes, love covers a multitude of sins, but David’s sins were not covered but exposed. This was not done because God did not love David, but because He did love David.

3. Pray for our President. Pray that President Clinton will be protected and delivered from the counsel of wicked men. God is a redemptive God. He even used David’s sin to further His purposes. David and Bathsheba’s son, Solomon, became a part of the genealogy, which eventually led to the birth of Jesus. David repented and became known as a man after God’s own heart. His failures actually led to his becoming a great king.

4. Pray that intercessors around the world will corporately began to intercede for the Uriah’s of the world and that this plot of the enemy will be spoiled.
