Reed: "LORD, LET IT BE TO ME ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD"
Relationship
Offered
"Where
were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?" Job 38:4
Before time began, God was. He was not missing anything. He was not lonely or in
need. One God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in perfect unity. Each with divine
humility, glorifying the other--a perfect relationship perfectly sufficient.
God made known His heart of creativity. He created out of His love. He created
expressing who He is. He created to be known and worshipped. God spoke and it
was so-- not out of need, but out of power and love. This was a gift of grace and love,
and mercy and relationship offered to those in whom He breathed life.
Jonah's Calling
"Shall a faultfinder contend with the Almighty? He who
argues with God, let him answer it." Job 40:2
Jonah missed the moment of the joy of entering into God's will and witnessing
the majesty of His work. Jonah obeyed in action, but missed the incredible
beauty of God's smile upon him.
Have you been there? Have you heard the voice of God speaking your name and
inviting you to witness one of His mighty works?
Has God placed a calling on your life that is uncomfortable and difficult? Maybe
you are wondering if He has the wrong person or perhaps you simply long for it
to be off of you. The task may seem overwhelming or the sacrifice too painful.
Maybe, like Jonah, you don't have a love for the people to whom He is sending
you. Maybe you are facing persecution or rejection because of the calling God
has given you. And like Jonah, the temptation comes to sit in the shade of the
tree and let anger and frustration grow.
Mary's Calling
"Greetings, oh favored one, the Lord is with you!"
Luke 1:28
Mary, mother of Jesus, received a calling from the Lord. God spoke to her and placed a most
uncomfortable calling upon her. Mary would have been pregnant whether she liked
it or not. Whether she agreed with it or not. She couldn't run from it; she
couldn't hide from it. It was nothing of her that caused the pregnancy. God
placed the life within her. She could have missed the moment of joy. The moment
of joining in the will of God could have been rejected by Mary.
"Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word."
Luke 1:38
Could Mary ignore the first time the baby kicked? No, but she had a choice to be
filled with wonder and joy at that moment or to curse it. Could she have ignored
the new born cries? No, but she could have abandoned Him and missed the joy,
pain, and honor of being the mother's arms to Her creator King.
She could have
missed kissing the face of God through the baby that made her life
uncomfortable. She could have been angry and despised the little leg moving
within her. After all, persecution and rejection were all around her. The stares
of suspicion and whispers of gossip ringing in her ears. Mary could have missed
kissing the face of God. But she didn't.
"My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for He has
looked on the humble estate of His servant. For behold, from now on all
generations will call me blessed." Luke 1:46-48
Mary's calling brought physical discomfort and pain. It brought death threats
and isolation. It brought the heart wrenching pain of a mother seeing her son
killed, and converged with seeing her Lord taking her sins upon Himself. As a young
mother, she had to flee with her husband and son to a foreign land. She was
widowed and her care was passed over to the friend of her son.
Where was the blessing in Mary's calling?
Mary experienced the joy of entering into God's work because of her surrendered
heart. All the pain and all the joy came as a blessing in her understanding of a
servant heart to the Lord God Almighty. It was not God's need that Mary
responded to. It was God's power, His love, His grace, and in the moment
of awe, Mary responded to who God is and to her need for Him.
Your Calling
Where is the blessing in your calling?
Is there joy in your heart for the sound of the Father's voice calling your name
to come and see what He will do? Can you taste the sweet and the bitter of the
scroll, and give thanks to the Lord for He is good?
Remember Jesus, our Savior who, for the joy set before Him, endured the cross.
Jesus, who gave up the treasures of Heaven to enter a sin-sick world and pour
out His life, so that we might live. He came to do the will of the Father.
"Your will
be done, on earth as it is in Heaven." Matthew 6:10
We are made in His image. He has
reconciled us in His body of flesh by His death, in order to present us holy and
blameless, and above reproach before Him.
Don't miss the moment of joy offered in the invitation to join in the Father's
work. Let your heart be filled with courage, and rejoice at the gift of taking
God's hand while saying, "Here I am Lord, send me. May it be to me according to Your word."
May it be to all of us according to HIS word.

TOP SELLING BOOK
"Open My Eyes, Lord"
by Gary Oates
$14.00
Book
Foreword
to Open My Eyes, Lord: Open My Eyes, Lord, Gary Oates' new book, is one of the most exciting books I have read in a long time. It is a book about holiness and intimacy with our Triune God; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Gary's pursuit of a life of intimacy with God, and consecration to a lifestyle of holiness, has been shared with his wife, Kathi. However, their walk with God took a gigantic leap forward after Gary saw the Lord Jesus while out of his body, and both he and Kathi's eyes were also opened to see angels.
One cannot read this book without becoming hungrier for "just a closer walk with Thee" type of experience/relationship. I know that I have a holy jealousy for the intimacy I see for God in Gary Oates' life. I am no longer satisfied to be able to sense the presence of angels when they come near me. I want to see them. I want to enter into the fulfillment of a word I received over ten years ago, "I want your eyes to be opened to see My resources for you in the
Heavenlies, just as Elisha prayed for Gehazi's eyes to be opened."
I encourage you to read this book with an open heart and mind. As you do, agree with me in this prayer, "Open my eyes, Lord...I want to see Jesus...to reach out and touch Him...to tell Him I love Him. Open my eyes, Lord...I want to see. I want to see Your
Heavenly resources for me. As Elisha prayed for Gehazi, for his eyes to be opened, I pray for every reader of this book to have their eyes opened; just as I pray for my own eyes to be opened. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

"Journal of the Unknown Prophet"
by Wendy Alec
$18.00
Book During a ten day period in November of 1999, Wendy Alec received a visitation from the Lord Jesus Christ. He spoke of mercy; He warned of judgment... on the world's trading systems, on the media...upon the church. He wept.
In two later separate visitations, He spoke in anguish of the last days assignments against the elect. He warned of the great blinding, of seduction, lust and Jezebel and the great falling away...this is the extraordinary record of His discourse.
He Speaks of Mercy
That where you have counted to no man, beloved, you are exceedingly more valuable than rubies to Him. That where no man takes you up, He comes with His mighty arm of mercy and compassion. For the Master Himself would whisper to your heart. Dearly beloved, you are not forgotten.
He Speaks of the Media
It is to you, television network magnates, it is to you Hollywood-- you shall give account of your empire. For you broadcast lust, you broadcast violence and millions of souls perished...
Journey into Heaven
Jesus took my hand in His, and together we stepped through the entrance. Immediately my senses were engulfed with the myriad sounds and sensations of Heaven. Jesus and I kept walking, still miles away from the pulsating brilliance of my Father's throne....
The Unleashing of the End-Time Seducing Spirits
And suddenly it was as though a heavy,
Heavenly veil was drawn back in the Spirit realm, and I saw the satanic princes in their battledress standing in their chariots directing the great mass of hellish battalions...
