Paul Keith Davis: "THIS GENERATION WILL SEE THE SONS OF THE KINGDOM"

Below are more questions and answers primarily taken from a television interview done earlier this year. I thought it might be fruitful to answer more questions which are applicable to the corporate church. (To view Paul Keith's previously posted questions and answers on The Elijah List, click here.)

Question: As a ministry, what is the greatest burden that you carry?

Answer: Obviously, there are many burdens that a ministry carries. Certainly we possess the desire to see the Lord Jesus receive the full measure of His great reward. The Bible declares in Revelation 5:9, "And they sang a new song, saying, 'Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.'"

It is undeniably a burden and a responsibility that is placed upon this generation to see the purchase of His blood enter in to the realization of the Heavenly Kingdom.

Furthermore, we also carry the burden to see the Biblical mandate realized in our generation, of the entire earth being filled with the knowledge of His glory. The bride of Christ is to be the agency by which He releases the manifestation of His glory throughout the earth.

As we, by divine revelation, apprehend the realization of His holy attributes and divine character, we give language to those attributes. Those declarations become tangible spiritual substance that saturates the entire atmosphere of this earth with the knowledge of His goodness and glory.

This is the model of Isaiah 6. Isaiah beheld with his eyes and heard with his ears the revelation of God's greatness. He witnessed the entire temple being filled with the tangible substance of God's glory by the Cherubim's mere articulation of God's holiness. That is likewise our mandate; it is experiential in nature.

Nevertheless, as a ministry, we feel one of our primary commissions is to help awaken this generation of radical believers to its prophetic destiny. The Bible declares in 2 Timothy 1:9, "God...who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began."

The term "holy calling" could also be interpreted "sacred destiny." The Lord considers it a sacred thing for us to enter into the divinely ordained function that He has destined for us. The prophet David once said, "Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; and in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me when as yet there was not one of them." The same blood that purchased our salvation also secured a destiny for us as individuals.

The Bible also emphasizes that grace was set apart for us to accomplish our destiny. That grace was designated to us before time began. What an incredible mystery in God! Before the earth was ever fashioned, the Lord saw us as individuals and allotted a portion of His grace for each of us to accomplish our sacred and holy destiny.

The blood of Jesus not only purchased our souls, but also our destiny and holy calling in Him. We have a responsibility and duty to be the agency by which the Lord carries out His blueprint on the earth through the empowering of His Spirit.

The end-time generation has an even greater mandate placed upon it. The Bible points out that we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses involving those who have gone before us and saw the prophetic destiny of this generation, but were unable to live in it (Hebrews 11). It is a great honor that has been placed upon those living today, to be the generation that sees the consummation of God's Heavenly plans.

Question: What do you see the coming move of God's Spirit looking like?

This is a unique and diverse generation. The next installment in God's plan will not merely be an emphasis on one truth, but the revelation OF THE TRUTH. In the prior generation, we witnessed the great Latter Rain healing movement. Later came the Jesus Movement and Charismatic Renewal. Following that, the Prophetic Movement emerged, along side the Renewal movement of Toronto, and the Repentance movement of Brownsville. All of these various outpourings of the Spirit restored and emphasized a certain Biblical truth.

What is coming now, will be the consolidation of all these truths. Our primary focus will not be an emphasis on a specific truth, but on the Person of the Truth. Something is transpiring today that is transcending spiritual "movements" and highlighting the revelation of God's Kingdom. It is the full expression of Jesus in a body of people who know their God and do exploits to His glory.

We as a ministry have changed our terminology in recent days to be more consistent with the mandate placed upon this generation. Very often, we as a ministry, are identified with the "prophetic movement." However, it is our desire to be more appropriately recognized with the Lord's Kingdom and the full measure of His revelation.

Though we completely support the "prophetic movement," it is our preference to be recognized as the Lord's friends and be an integral part of His Kingdom with an emphasis on all Biblical truth. Clearly, the revelatory aspect of our heritage is paramount and crucial to apprehending the various other aspects of our inheritance.

Nevertheless, I do not believe that what is coming, will be a movement, but a progressive revelation of the person of Jesus. Certainly this season of God's plan will demonstrate healing, but it will not be identified as a healing movement. Undoubtedly, there will be the revelatory aspect of God's Spirit, but it will not be known as a prophetic movement.

Obviously, there will be great faith demonstrated by God's people, but it will not be recognized as a faith movement in the same way it was in the days of Kenneth Hagin and the other great men and women of God of that era. Movements tend to have a beginning and an ending. Instead, this next expression of God's Glory will be a perpetual unfolding of the end-time scenario.

These days will see the consolidation of all these truths to reveal the Lord as the overcoming King and His Kingdom. Matthew 13 declares that those living at the end of the age, will be the harvest generation and will work cohesively with Heaven's host. The Lord has planted wheat into the field of this world, and He is looking to harvest "sons of the Kingdom." Jesus Himself said:

"The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man, and the field is the world; and as for the good seed, these are the sons of the Kingdom....the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are angels" Matthew 13:37-39.

The "sons of the Kingdom" are merely the word of God becoming flesh once again. John 1 declares that in the beginning was the Word, and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. That same paradigm will be pertinent for the "sons of the Kingdom" present on the earth during the end-of-days confrontation. God's word will be manifested in a body of people who do the works of the Kingdom like He did.

This generation is about to see people emerging as "sons of the Kingdom" to demonstrate the revelation of the Lord's Kingdom. These will see the realization of John 14:12 as a multi-membered body working cohesively with God's anointing to do the same works that Jesus did.
