Sandie Freed: "OPEN THE
FLOODGATES AND EXPECT AN OPEN HEAVEN" and "The Elijah List Encourages Soldiers in Iraq"
A letter from a mom with
soldiers: "The Elijah List Encourages my son and his wife in Iraq."
"My son and his wife
are both Christians, God Chasers, and also Soldiers serving in Iraq. My son Andy spends
his days searching through hundreds of homes, as his wife Sarah spends her days gathering
information from the locals. They have the double responsibility of leading troops in
war, and the desire to point them to Christ at every possible opportunity. Andy and Sarah
have few opportunities for corporate worship, and they can feel really lonely out there.
But in their positions, they must conceal all their personal emotions.
My point in writing, is to say "thanks" for your ministry. All the "Words" and teachings that
are coming out today, parallel spiritually to what is happening in the lives of my soldiers
in the natural. But you already know that.
I support them from home with intercession, letters, packages, and emails. As they have very
limited time, I send them shortened email versions of your messages for their own edification.
They also have the use of the emails to lead, teach, and encourage their troops. When things
over there get so bad, and they don't even know how to pray anymore, a lesson arrives from
The Elijah List, which I know is going to encourage them. Andy and Sarah don't have time to
let me know what the lessons mean to them, and that's okay. I am confident God is at work in,
and around us, wherever we are, and He will bring to them whatever they need, exactly when
they need it.
As an intercessor in my area, I continually receive confirmation from The Elijah List that
our local prayer team is right on track. Even the Words and Prophecies we receive here are
always confirmed by The Elijah List.
God bless you and encourage you today. We are all at war on the front lines."

God
is Visiting and Empowering Us Even in the Midst of Turmoil and Terror!
For the past several weeks, I have been seeing visions of floods. These visions do not occur
in just one city, but rather in EVERY city we have ministered! I am now realizing that most
of these visions are given by the Lord during times of worship.
In visiting with other ministries, it appears that we are
all being called into more intimate worship, and God is using this set time to empower us
with greater vision and anointing. Even though I have experienced this in times past, there
seems to be a fresh empowerment during this season of seeking Him and His glory. God loves
to release His power!
God desires a place of HABITATION. Let's observe
the revelation given in 2 Kings 7:2 and Psalms
71:3.
"...if the Lord should open the floodgates of the Heavens, could this
happen?" 2 Kings 7:2
Be to me a rock of habitation, to which
I may continually come; You have given commandment to save me, For You are my rock and
my fortress. Psalms 71:3
Floodgates of Divine Protection:
God does His Greatest Miracles in the Midst of Great Persecution and Seemingly Impossible
Situations!
Have you been asking, "Is it possible to experience the floodgates of Heaven even in the midst
of so much turmoil? Is it possible that we can still experience an open Heaven even though
the threat of terrorism seems constant?" The answer is YES!
As He becomes our habitation and we, in turn, also provide
Him a habitation in our lives, we are continually filled with His divine protection and
supernatural empowerment. We cannot allow the threats of terrorism to quench our faith
to believe for more miracles, or to allow the evil assignments of satan to influence us
to doubt God's ability to protect and empower us. God does His greatest miracles in the
midst of great persecution and seemingly impossible situations!
It will Not be our traditions and old patterns of thinking that break open the floodgates.
Floodgates open because we have fully surrendered our lives to Him and we trust Him. When He
has a throne in our lives, He can fully rule and reign over our daily activities and our difficult
situations. With His seated position in our lives, He promises to give us living water and
this living water flows from His throne! Hallelujah!
Did you understand what I just said? We know that the water
of life flows from His throne, and if you have given Him a seated position, a "throne" in
your life, then you are therefore in His River of life!
God desires to release floodgates not only to cleanse us and purify our lives, but also to
empower us with abundant life, divine protection, and power! Have you ever observed the power
of a flood? It's awesome! Flood waters can become so swift, that they overcome many obstacles
that hinder their flow! For each of us, this means that when He releases His flood, the obstacles
which have hindered our breakthroughs are brought low and they submit to God's plan for our
lives! It also means that the swiftness of His flood will wipe out our enemies! God has promised
to not only protect us; He promises to overtake our enemies!
The Highway of Holiness
I also believe that as He opens His floodgates, floods of His Spirit pave the way for His Highway
of Holiness. This highway is a road that sweeps through every desert experience and releases
life. It is also a pathway of holiness and sanctification unto the Lord. I believe we are in
a season of experiencing the reverential fear of the Lord.
Many of God's children are examining their lifestyles and
commitments, and therefore, are repenting for areas of selfishness, self-centeredness, and
even areas of idolatry. Yes, even idolatry! Idolatry is not limited to bowing low to a graven
image; idolatry involves any area of our lives which is not totally surrendered to Him. Anyone
or anything which replaces our relationship with Him is considered idolatry. Idolatry is
also when we believe satan's word above God's Word. Think about this for a moment. God and
His Word are One, and if we believe the devil's words above God's words, then satan's words
are placed above God!
One of the Ten Commandments states that we are to not bow
down to any graven image nor are we to serve them. A "graven image" is translated from Hebrew
meaning an "idol or image." Webster's Dictionary says that an "image" is a "physical likeness
or representation of a person." If we have a mind-set of how God represents Himself to us,
and that "image" is opposite of who He says He is, then we may be committing a form of idolatry.
So, therefore, if we believe that God is unjust and He will not perform what His Word declares,
then we are in idolatry.
Dear ones, in these troubled times, we must trust God and
believe that He is a just God, and He will perform His Word! We need to be standing on Psalms
91 and believe that He is our refuge, our fortress, and our divine protector.
We need to declare that He is giving His angels charge over our lives. As we pray against
all terrorism and plans of the evil one, we are to trust in our God. He is the Great I Am!
When God told Abraham and Sarah they would conceive, Sarah laughed. God answered her and said, "Is
anything too hard for God...." (see Genesis 18:14). The Lord is saying the same
today. There is nothing too difficult for God!
Godly Fear is a Good Thing!
Fear is not always negative, for there is a positive fear. It is not a fear that would cause
us to run away from God, but rather a holy fear that convicts us to be holy, more sanctified
and more committed to His divine purpose. I have been re-examining my own life to be sure that
I am only involved in the assignments that He gives me, and I do not allow pressure from the
enemy to dictate my schedule. Also, I am examining the words that I speak (being sure my words
are positive and God-filled), how I spend my time, and how I truly view the Lord.
I want to know Him more; not merely through someone else's
teachings or sermons, but to intimately know Him for myself. I do not want there to be idolatry
in my life. God will share His throne with no one or no idol! Again, He desires a habitation
within us, so that He can release His glory through us.
The Seven-fold Spirit of God
Since we are living in the time where His Seven-fold Spirit is being released, we need to remember
that having the fear of the Lord is one of the manifestations of His Spirit! Yes, precious
Saint, if you are becoming more reverential and more convicted of your lifestyle, it is because
God's seven-fold Spirit is active in your life!
"And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a
Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit
of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of
the fear of the LORD;
And shall make him of quick understanding
in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither
reprove after the hearing of his ears: But with righteousness shall he judge the poor,
and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with
the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked." (Isaiah
11:1-4, emphasis mine)
One reason that we are experiencing such incredible revelation,
is because He has released the seven-fold manifestation of His divine Spirit. All of these
powerful manifestations are linked with "the fear of the Lord."
As the Lord fully releases His floodgates of power and
anointing, He will also ignite such a fear, that many of us will be committed to walking
His Highway of Holiness. As a result of the fear of the Lord, multitudes will acknowledge
His Lordship, and we will witness the beginning of a great revival and a harvest of souls!
Let's Not Miss The Hour of Our Visitation!
God is Opening the Gates of Heaven Through Dreams!
God wants to open the gates of understanding. Let's not limit how God desires to move and how
He speaks to us. Remember Jacob? He experienced the presence of the Lord through a dream. Through
a dream, God revealed His covenant plan, and Jacob experienced the open gate of God; the "gate
of Heaven."
"And Jacob awaked out of his sleep,
and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not. And he was afraid,
and said, How dreadful is this place! This is none other but the house of God, and this
is the gate of Heaven." (Genesis 28:16-17,
emphasis mine)
The Scripture says that Jacob was fearful. The fear that Jacob experienced was so reverential
that He recognized the Lordship of Jesus and later, gave a tithe in honor to the Lord. As
God opens up gates of revelation, we are being challenged with His holiness and our commitments
to Him which concern finances, dedication, and fulfilling our earthly assignments.
Jacob built a memorial of worship, dedicated the land, and
named the place Bethel, which means house of God. I believe that Jacob, in turn, gave God
a "house" or "habitation" in his life and, therefore, became a changed man. It was later
in Jacob's life that God changed his name to Israel, meaning "prince of God." Could it be
at the instant Jacob built a place of worship, God began to change His name? Though the name
change did not occur for years later, that moment of worship and dedication was a turning
point for Jacob.
The Valley of Decision
Joel 3:14-18:
"Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley
of decision.
The sun and the moon shall be darkened,
and the stars shall withdraw their shining.
The LORD also shall roar out of Zion,
and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the Heavens and the earth shall shake: but the
LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
So shall ye know that I am the
LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there
shall no strangers pass through her any more.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the
hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain
shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim." (emphasis
mine)
Dear ones, we are coming to many crossroads in our lives. Many of us are facing valleys of
decision as we decide daily to trust and follow Him. The Lord is near to us and though we are
experiencing dark times, the Lord is roaring out of Zion! As we commit our lives to His Holy
Highway, the rivers shall begin to flow upon our lives. As we bow our knees in more intimate
worship, we are fully giving our lives to Him. Though we face daily adversities, we cannot
get our eyes off of the Lord. Allow the Lord to draw you so much closer to Him, that you are
able to gaze upon His beauty.
Become a Gatekeeper!
Do you remember the story of Obed-Edom? King David had left the Ark of the Lord in his home
(see 1 Chronicles 13:13, 15:24), and Obed-Edom prospered
the entire time the ark was in his dwelling place! This man fully embraced God's presence and
literally had a habitation for Him! Obed-Edom was also a worshipping Levite who played the
harp unto the Lord.
But, did you know that he also served as a gatekeeper (a
doorman) for the Ark? This man fully experienced what we sing about during our times of worship
and praise:
"Better is one day in your courts than
a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell
in the tents of the wicked." Psalms 84:10
Obed-Edom would do anything to remain in God's presence!
Will we do the same? Will we guard His presence? Will we set a watch over our hearts so that
He can enthrone Himself over everything that concerns us? Even though we are experiencing
times of great tribulation, it is important to keep a watch over our worship! We must remain
properly positioned, remaining in His presence, continuing to believe for breakthroughs,
blessings, and divine protection!
God desires to release His floodgates! We cannot possibly imagine all that He has prepared
for us who love Him (see 1 Corinthians 2:9). Expect greater
things. Expect a mighty flood as you begin to gaze upon Him and His beauty.
Let Us Desire, Let Us Seek, Let Us Dwell, Let Us Behold and Inquire All the Days of Our
Lives!
"One thing I have desired of the
LORD,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the LORD
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the LORD,
And to inquire in His temple." Psalms 27:4
