Kim Clement: "THE SEASON OF MULTIPLICATION"

Exodus 17:8-16

"Then came Amalek (descendants of Esau) and fought with Israel at Rephidim. And Moses said to Joshua, 'Choose us out men and go out, fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand.'"

"So Joshua did as Moses said and fought with Amalek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the hilltop. When Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed; and when he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed."

"But Moses' hands were heavy and grew weary. So (the other men) took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Then Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side and one on the other side; so his hands were steady until the going down of the sun."

"And Joshua mowed down and disabled Amalek and his people with the sword. And the Lord said to Moses, 'Write this for a memorial in the book and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under the heavens.'"

"And Moses built an altar and called the name of it, The Lord is my Banner; And he said, 'Because (theirs) is a hand against the throne of the Lord, the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.'"

There are certain things that must take place within a certain period of time in order for the Will of God to be performed in our lives. The enemy will constantly try to slow us down with pathetic attacks. When the children of Israel were stopped because the Amalekites attacked them from the rear, their time was wasted with an unnecessary war. God told Joshua He would make war with Amalek from generation to generation because they stopped their progress. God took this waste of time seriously.

Go to a Higher Place

Many believe Revelation 4:1, is in reference to the rapture, but it isn't. It is applicable to every human being today. He is talking to each person, and if you hear His voice, the door will be opened for you to go to a higher place; and to double your vision, so you can see things that will take place after this.

John had to see it; he had to hear the voice, so the door could be opened in the Heavens in order to go to a higher place. Prophets are called to show you and direct you to a higher place because under normal circumstances, you won't want to see further than your present surroundings unless you are given an incentive.

This generation has been told over and over that Jesus is coming back; not to worry. But this is an evil thing we are doing, because although Jesus IS coming back, we need to occupy until He comes. Make sure your children are the leaders of tomorrow so they can represent Christ through their accomplishments.

Every Good Work Under the Direction of God is Eternal

Everything that is temporary must be buried and totally destroyed. Temporary events must not affect your present or your future. We remember our failures, and this controls our present and our future. We must not take our failures (yesterday's attempts to do right), and allow them to blind us.

Remember the good things you have done as well--every good work under the direction of God is eternal. Your enemy wants you to forget the good things you have done. It's time we bash out the temporary things, and bring the eternal things we have done to the surface, because they still exist today and will exist forever.

At this present moment, you have the ability to do something eternal that will last forever. When Abraham offered his son under the direction of God, it became an eternal act. Let's look at what He tells Abraham regarding this great act of obedience:

Genesis 22:15-18, "The Angel of the Lord called to Abraham from Heaven a second time And said, 'I have sworn by Myself,' says the Lord, 'that since you have done this and have not withheld (from Me) or begrudged (giving Me) your son, your only son,

In blessing I will bless you and in multiplying I will multiply your descendants like the stars of the heavens and like the sand on the seashore. And your Seed (Heir) will possess the gate of His enemies,

And in your Seed (Christ) shall all the nations of the earth be blessed and (by Him) bless themselves, because you have heard and obeyed My voice.'"

THERE IT IS: Multiply your descendants/your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. Abraham's act of obedience became eternal and his descendants would always be blessed because of that one act. Long after Abraham died, his eternal blessing went from generation to generation. You have the power today, right now, to perform an eternal act so that your descendants can enjoy the blessing that comes with an eternal, obedient act. Even thousands of years later, we are enjoying the blessings of Abraham, in Christ.

Perspectives

Galatians 5:13-14, "For you, brethren, were (indeed) called to freedom; only (do not let your) freedom be an incentive to your flesh and an opportunity or excuse (for selfishness), but through love you should serve one another. For the whole Law (concerning human relationships) is complied with in the one precept, 'You shall love your neighbor as (you do) yourself.'"

There are two kinds of perspectives in which you can function: Situational Perspective and Occupational Perspective.

Situational perspective means that you are seeing things based on your surroundings and circumstances, which have situated you and basically restricted you from seeing the future. Occupational perspective means that your perspective is not controlled by your circumstances, but by the "higher place." Remember that God says, "Come up here and I will show you things to come." An occupational perspective gives you greater sight (foresight), so that you can take occupation of your place of pain instead of trying to escape, or asking God to take it away.

God is not going to take you out of your circumstance, but rather show you the joy that is on the other side of the battle, so that you can occupy. Literally, your place of pain must become your place of reign.

Escapism is not God's way of dealing with issues. Even when Christ prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, He said, "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from me, nevertheless not My will but Yours be done." Also, Jacob became Israel, because his perspective (perception of his place of pain) changed when the Heavens opened up, and God spoke to him in the place where Jacob was suffering.

Showers of Multiplication

God recently spoke these words through me regarding the perfect time He has set for us to multiply or subtract:

"The season of subtraction has come to an end, and the season of multiplication has begun. This is going to be something that nobody expected because of what is taking place (and the climate) within the Kingdom, but it is perfect, and it is ready for one of the greatest breakthroughs ever."

He also showed me Ezekiel 34:26, "I will cause the showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessings." When I read this, I realized that we have been so religiously inclined toward singing showers of blessings, thinking it was just a little shower that was going to come to us. But I looked up the word "showers," and it means "various, varied blessings, and a variety of blessings." It's not going to come in one way; it's going to come in many different ways. When God said, "the spirit of multiplication has begun," I realized it was likened unto Elisha who had stood at the Jordan and struck it, and said, "Where is the God of Elijah?", because he wanted a double portion of that spirit.

That double portion belongs to us now, Today! So get ready for a season of multiplication!
