THE UNRIGHTEOUS PRIESTS

Note from Steve Shultz, Publisher THE ELIJAH LIST
Some Words which bring conviction are hard to hear. But I put the following Word through Catherine Brown in a different category. This one strikes me with a sense of relief! You see, it's easy for me to check my "performance meter" to see if I'm being good enough, faithful enough, or even kind enough. But in so doing, I (or we) can be guilty of "crucifying Christ anew," --- because it's only the Blood of Jesus and our faith in HIM which brings salvation. The Father loves His Son's Sacrifice for us. When we try to be our OWN sacrifice, it is putrid at best--and of course, useless. So, I find relief in a reminder that I don't have to provide my own righteousness!!
THE UNRIGHTEOUS PRIESTS A Vision Given To Catherine Brown, Scotland

Our Lord in His loving grace has revealed an intense spiritual vision that has left me broken and burdened, seeing from the Lord's perspective a self appointed unrighteous priesthood. This vision contains in it disheartening imagery that is painful upon initial review yet necessary for us to fully repent of our present condition so that we as a church can move into the glorious Royal priesthood promised in scripture. Sin will always have a grotesque perverted appearance when seen from heaven's perspective. We too must view sin from this same perspective producing a genuine disdain for the self-righteous spirit and this world's system.
For a number of hours a heavy burden for prayer rested upon me like a weight yoked across my shoulders. Finally, the spirit of travail arrested me leading me into a time of intense intercession and worship. During this season, the Lord spoke to me indicating His desire to reveal an important message that must be shared with His church. The message He desires to share is not pleasant but necessary for us to achieve His High calling of righteousness and Christ-like leadership.
Following this instruction I felt an intense sickness permeate my entire being. It was a nausea and revulsion of sin and the carnal nature that was so great that it felt as though my physical body were being turned inside out. When I cried out to the Lord asking why such a great sickness overcame me, He began to show the answer through a vision.
I saw a host of people being vomited upon by demons. When I asked the Lord why these precious people were being profaned in this way, the Lord answered stating that they opened themselves up to this desecration by removing their robes of righteousness, placing upon themselves garments of self-righteousness. This body of believers being revealed in the vision did not fully discern the role of Jesus as High Priest and through misguided trust in man's reasoning produced for themselves a priesthood of the flesh. This spiritual error has allowed the enemy to spew vile desecration upon these children of God.
The Apostle Paul wrote of this condition in his epistle to the Romans. He said, "For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge. For not knowing about God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. Romans 10:2-4.
Having a zeal for God apart from the Spirit of Truth produces a form of self-righteousness that allows persecution and desecration from the enemy. Conversely, knowledge without a zeal for God can become cold, calculating and formal. It is the union of the two that produces the imputed righteousness of God allowing us to enter in to the intimate chambers with the Bridegroom that we may reflect His nature and character. Man's form of righteousness is based upon the merits of works and things done FOR God rather than God's plan of justification by faith in His Son through grace providing a canopy of protection from the defilement of the enemy. This form of righteousness is then verified by the works done WITH God.
The power of this scene along with the deeply intensifying travail, stirred within me the deepest of emotions as I knew that I was sharing in the Lord's pain over this condition. I wept with the Lord as the circumstance of His priests continued to be unveiled. Time and again His children were shown being defiled by a demonic host.
As the vision continued, I was also allowed to see Aaron clothed in the glorious priestly attire. I could see the beauty of his robes, the ephod and the blue tunic along with the precious stones. I could also see the purity of his linen garments reflecting the divine nature qualifying him to enter into the sanctuary to perform his priestly duties. I turned back to view the modern priests who were without their priestly garments, naked and covered in the demonic defilement and yet oblivious to their condition. This scene brought a vivid reality to Revelations 3:17- "Because you say, "I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing," and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.
The agony that I experienced in this vision was only a small measure of the Lord's, still I was virtually overwhelmed with grief. The worst was yet to come. The next part of the vision was almost too great to bear. I saw the Lord hanging on the cross covered in vile demonic vomit the same as the priests. It was the most horrific sight imaginable to see our Savior being desecrated by this evil host. What unfathomable Love for the Creator to yield to such treatment for the sake of those He loves. Though painful to observe, this reality creates depths of love and appreciation for our Redeemer yet unknown. Each time one of the earthly priests opened himself up to demonic desecration, the Lord received the same violation while hanging on the cross. He bore the shame of our nakedness willingly for the joy set before Him to share His salvation with us.
Through this imagery we can perhaps understand the sorrow of the Prophet Isaiah as he must have viewed a similar scene when he foretold of the sufferings of the Promised Messiah: Surely our griefs He himself bore, and our sorrows He carried; yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being {fell} upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; but the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth; like a lamb that is led to slaughter, and like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, so He did not open His mouth. By oppression and judgment He was taken away; and as for His generation, who considered that He was cut off out of the land of the living, for the transgression of my people to whom the stroke was due? Isaiah 53:4-8
To see our Precious Savior in such a condition was beyond the description of words. When I cried out to the Lord for forgiveness He looked at me from the cross saying, "Child, by My blood I am able to forgive all things. This disgrace I bear for the sake of My own. I have borne it on the cross, yet My blood sacrifice has been abused and misunderstood by many in My body. I bear this vile desecration in order that I may show My children the depth of My love. That which you suffer, I suffer along with you. The enduring of this vomit does not detract from My Glory; My Glory has been established before time; it does not detract from my stature in the Father s eyes. He exalts Me to the highest place. This suffering speaks of My grace, My mercy, My meekness and humility and My role as High Priest in the order of Melchizedek.
"You must share this vision with My Church. My Bride must see that she has entered into misappropriation of the Priesthood I have called her to. She has ascribed to herself self righteousness in place of My Righteousness thus introducing uncleanness and defilement to herself. My blood has once and for all been applied in the Most Holy Place providing complete Atonement. I allowed Myself to be sacrificed and poured out as an offering unto God that My Bride may be washed and made white as snow."
"The religious spirit blinds my children causing them to mistake religious impartation for imputed righteousness. My Righteousness is ascribed to her and the garments of my priests must be adorned daily with the understanding of My purity and a yearning for Holiness and Godliness. My Blood provides eternal redemption... for I am the Mediator of the New Covenant. My Blood purchased for all generations the forgiveness of sin. After having borne the sin of mankind, I entered heaven atoning with My Blood the curse of fallen man."
"I have established the will of the Father and provided a way for My children to reflect My Holiness through the sacrifice of My body on Calvary's cross. Put off the religious Spirit and put on the White Linen I have prepared for you. It is of Heavenly origin... it is not imparted, rather it is ascribed to you in the Holiness of My Blood. Put off self righteousness and clothe yourself with Me... Clothe yourself in Me. Do not misappropriate My Blood." Amen
Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Cor 7:1
For this cleansing and purifying work to begin we must first see ourselves from the heavenly perspective and repent for our unbelief and sin. We can then fervently pray for the release of the Divine Nature and Robes of Righteousness necessary for our priestly responsibility; the Priesthood in the Order of Melchezedek. We then become the source of blessing as priests of the New Covenant by the Holy Spirit residing and working through us.
And have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him {a renewal} in which there is no {distinction between} Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but Christ is all, and in all. And so, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Col. 3:10-12
