Scott Hicks: "Be
More than A Conqueror"
God has been dealing with me about an
occurrence that is now taking place in the body--how to do more than overcome!
My attention has been directed to Samson in the book of Judges. I am going to
share some prophetic insight for this season.
Story of Samson
In Judges 15, Samson was tied/bound up by "the people." Interestingly,
they tied him with two "new cords," and brought him up away from the "Rock." God
says people who are not on our side, will come up with two new things
to try to bind our left hand and right hand--they will try to bind up the
apostolic and the prophetic with these two new "cords."
When the enemy shouted
in victory, the Spirit of God came, dissolved the cords from Samson's
hands, burnt them with fire, and his hands were loosed from each other!
Samson looked and found a "new" jawbone of an ass and began to use it to defeat
the enemy which was attacking him. He destroyed them heap by heap--little by
little, until he had "spoken his last words."
Then he threw the jawbone down,
cried out to God from thirst, and God took that very weapon that Samson used,
and He
supernaturally provided him with water coming forth from it! After Samson
drank the water, he revived--Revival came to him!!!
Who Wants to be a Conqueror?
Who wants to be a conqueror? I don't! Revival comes to those who aren't!
Conqueror's have swords, shields, horses, and chariots. Those of us that are
"More Than Conquerors" don't have all of that, but what we do have is whatever
God has provided, and it is laying around in our time of need.
We don't have
jets and million dollar ministries, but we have a jawbone of an ass lying there
that isn't being used. If we can just but look and see it, pick it up and use
it, the enemy will be destroyed, heap upon heap, until the heap in front of us
becomes smaller then the heap behind us!
We Are More than Conquerors!
We must realize that we are more than conquerors. Some are single mothers and
single fathers, and some are small ministries without jets and bank
accounts. Those that don't have what the conquerors have are "More than
Conquerors!"
All that is needed in this season, is the thing God has provided
that seems useless to every one else. But if it is all we can find, then the
demonic forces can be slain heap by heap in our lives and in the body, until we
have said all we are going to say and cry out to God from thirst. He will take
that very "thing" which was useless, and use it to bring forth REVIVAL to those
that are "More than Conquerors!"
The Time for Revival is Upon the Thirsty
Maybe all of this will soak in slowly. Please read it a few times and allow God
to reveal some prophetic things to you. The time of "More than Conquerors"
is
upon us! The time for Revival is upon the thirsty who have cried out to God
after being in battle with the enemy. The time for the world to devise two NEW
cords to bind us is here. But when they shout in victory and we see the cords
binding us, God will supernaturally remove them. Then we have to use whatever we
can find to defeat the enemy and bring revival...even if it is the jawbone of an
ass.
I find it interesting how God spoke through men in days of old, and even through
a donkey at one time. Maybe the weapons which God has provided and are laying
around, are the very things that God's word have come through at one time or
another. Those old jawbones of our lives, which God's word has come through, will
be the key weapons for us to defeat the enemy that is trying to tie us up and
destroy us...
