Catherine Brown: "A Vision of
Son Shine"
"In
that day the Branch of the Lord will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of
the land will be the pride and glory of the survivors in Israel. Those who are
left in Zion, who remain in Jerusalem, will be called holy, all who are recorded
among the living in Jerusalem. The Lord will wash away the filth of the women of
Zion; he will cleanse the bloodstains from Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment and
a spirit of fire. Then the Lord will create over all of Mount Zion and over
those who assemble there a cloud of smoke by day and a glow of flaming fire by
night; over all the glory will be a canopy. It will be a shelter and a shade
from the heat of the day, and a refuge and hiding place from the storm and
rain." Isaiah 4:2-6
Have Some Son Shine!
Recently the Lord spoke to me in a vision that had me laughing out loud as I
rejoiced afresh in His tender care for all His children, whilst at the same
time, crying tears of joy in the reality of the Father's compassion for the
oppressed.
In the vision, I was standing in a world that was grey and colorless, yet my
eyes were fixed on Jesus. The Lord stood in front of me and handed me an orange.
It was the most glorious bright orange I have ever seen. As soon as I took hold
of the orange fruit, the grey all around became full of light and vibrant color.
The Lord smiled at me and said, "Have some Son Shine!"
I was so surprised, and I just burst out laughing as waves of Jesus' love washed
over me!
Oranges are such a wonderful source of vitamin C and they need the sunshine to
grow. Similarly, all God's children stay spiritually healthy by receiving a
daily portion of Jesus' "Son Shine" in their hearts!
Torch Bearers of Tenderness
I noticed the word "grace" was etched on the outside of the orange and it was of
a particular variety--a blood orange. We thank God for giving His grace to us in
the form of His Son Jesus, who willingly gave up His life as a blood sacrifice
at Calvary. Smiling with newfound joy, I began to peel the orange, and as I
pulled back the outer flesh, the fruit changed into fresh bread in my hands.
All of a sudden I felt ravenously hungry and began to devour the bread with
tremendous zeal. As I ate the bread, people started to gather around me. First
there were the children, many of whom were extremely poor. Then I noticed the
homeless people come to eat the fresh bread. I saw street girls and their
"pimps" coming for bread; drug addicts and alcoholics came, too. I held out the
little piece of bread in my hand to share with others, and the Lord multiplied
it to feed the hungry.
Those who were beaten, abused; oppressed and oppressor came to receive the fresh
bread of Jesus...They came with their faces pale grey and colorless, but as soon
as they ate the bread, each one of them was gloriously changed, and color
flooded back into their beings. Hardness and heartache fell off of people as
they encountered the living manna of Jesus and were healed and saved.
Out of the joy of knowing Jesus, we receive the daily fresh bread of His
presence for our lives and to share with others. It was as I stepped out in
faith to share the bread, that more was provided. Every hungry heart was
nourished. Not one was left behind.
God often causes us to be spiritually hungry for more of His presence, in order
that He can release a fresh wave of compassion, and miracle multiplication on
the earth through His servants, and that is what we are--sons of the Most High
and servants to all. When we share whatever we have in our hearts and hands,
Jesus multiplies it for the Father's glory, and the multitudes are saved, one by
one.
Today whatever resource God has given to you, we bless in the name of Jesus,
and ask the Father to release grace and mercy to share it with a hungry world.
The Lord looked tenderly to all and spoke again, "The
leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. Share My joy. Be torch
bearers of tenderness. Give without measure. Fear not and walk by faith."
His Glory is A Shade and A Shelter
In the final part of the visionary experience, the Lord Jesus, assisted by
numerous angels, gave out sunglasses to all the people who had eaten the fresh
bread. Suddenly, Jesus' glory shone so brightly, it would have been blinding had
we not received the sun glasses! The Lord looked at all and smiled saying,
"Now is the time of the manifestation of My glory."
At this, the earth began to shake, and everyone in the vision trembled in fear
of the Lord. Jesus smiled at His children again, and His concluding comment was,
"Don't be afraid, it's just the Son Shine."
Perhaps like I did, you are now smiling and rejoicing in the goodness of our
God. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, and this vision clearly
demonstrates Jesus' glory and resurrection life being poured out afresh on the
earth. It reveals the goodness of God, our Heavenly Father, and His desire to
feed His children daily with the tangible presence of Jesus. God's fresh bread
and the glory of His "Son shine" are freely available to all who seek with
honest hearts.
Today, we are called to seek the lost, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit
the lonely, give water to the thirsty, heal the sick, visit the prisoners,
deliver the oppressed, and raise the dead as we share Jesus' extravagant love
with all. Every gesture and word of kindness in the name of Christ, advances the
Kingdom of God here on earth. Every man, woman, and child has a part to play in
revealing the love of God in Christ. The Holy Spirit longs to pour out the
Father's pure and holy love to the multitudes. All He is looking for is our
surrendered hearts.
Let's come as children to our Father, rejoice in His goodness, and tell all whom
we are privileged to interact with about this relationship of glory, to which He
calls mankind.
I bless you, your families, your ministries, your fellowships and your
communities in the love of Christ.
Lord, release Your shining glory!
