"REST, REST, REST"

Friday, June 11,1999 "REST" Our prayer group was praying for 7 kids that will be going to the same middle school in September from our tiny church and we were seeking the LORD about them.

As I was praying, I heard this word:

"REST, REST, REST. I am giving my children a season of REST."

I opened a book I had with me, Scripture Keys looking for something on rest and it opened to PROTECTION and the scripture in Isaiah 32:18, "And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places." I believe the LORD will have the beginning of school in September (for most schools) to be the time of REST. Christian and non-Christian kids will come together in this season of rest like they haven't before. The Christian kids will be more united and bolder and model Jesus to their peers. And their peers will be more open to accepting them. It seems like a calm before the storm. And this calm, this rest is needed. The children all over the world are battle weary in their spirits, souls and bodies. They can't go forward into anything in this condition. With our society being such a loud, unrestful society, there seems to be no quiet places, even in our homes.

Our group prayed for rest and quiet places in families and homes, churches, the U.S., the entire world. We asked God for REST over all the earth AND in the earth down to the very core. And for the waters and the weather to be at REST. We prayed every man, woman, and child would seek Rest IN JESUS.

THE LORD'S STAFF

That's when I saw Jesus standing with his staff inserted into the very core of the earth. As Jesus stood there with the staff, perfect REST radiated up from the core of the earth and out into the earth.

And saw satan with his stick in the earth, but not doing anything. So we did warfare against the evil causing all of the unrest in the earth. Last, I saw the children, all ages, laying on beaches all over the earth. They were laying by the shorelines and the waters of the "rested oceans" were washing over them, but not covering their faces. It seems the Holy Spirit was washing over them and taking all of the unrest away and leaving them with such perfect peace and REST.

NOW, they could get up and go on. I would like for others who would join us in continuing to pray for this REST over the earth and all of the children, especially.
