Kathie Walters, who is a prolific author of Christian books, a frequent writer for Charisma Magazine, and a regular contributor to THE ELIJAH LIST asked me if I would post these two items for her. One is a clarification of her article posted yesterday about the Snakes in the River...She received some questions about how to know if one is in "PRIDE" AND "FALSE HUMILITY." Her explanation is below.
The Second item was posted earlier but I sort of "hid it" (not intentionally) at the bottom of her article. She is pleading for me to re-post it where it is not hidden. It's about THE ELIJAH LIST and how you can support this ministry. I decided to comply and post it again because Kathie tells me I really need to. And I still want her to be my friend (smile).
Blessings to you all on the Elijah List. You are such a precious family to Derene and me. We don't always have time to write to each person who writes to us, but we certainly read everything that is sent to us and we love you all for your encouragement.

FALSE HUMILITY OR PRIDE?

QUESTION: "How do I know the difference between pride and false humility?"
ANSWER: There is a scripture in Philemon 6 that says "I pray that your faith becomes effective by the acknowledging of every good thing that is in you in Christ Jesus."
So although we have nothing in ourselves and KNOW it, we acknowledge the things and gifts that are in us IN CHRIST. In other words, we acknowledge the gifts that GOD has put in us.. and by doing this our faith becomes effective.
We know who we are in ourselves (nobody) but in HIM we are kings and priests. So we rejoice in who we are IN HIM, we don't stay in a negative.. Before I was filled with the Spirit we were taught that if we were truly spiritual we would see that we were just worms n God's sight and although that is true in ourselves, in Him we have been made heirs and joint heirs of the Kingdom. We are nobody- but we are somebody very important in THE BODY...Hope that helps -

Dear Steve, so you remember you and I talking a while ago about how people respond to things that are plain and simple? Well I just wanted you to know that I have had such an overwhelming response to the simple vision about the white horse. I am have been getting E-mail from people all over the world for two days now...Steve there are some wonderful people on your list.. I believe it is truly anointed. You don't seem to get the contentious feedback like you do from other lists, just encouragement and thankful people. I wanted to encourage you to keep up your list - even though I know it must be a strain at times, what with your job and family etc. I also want to encourage people to support it prayerfully and financially - folks - you don't have to give great chunks of money -- just $10 a month will enable Steve to give time to the list. which, like I said I believe is really anointed.
