TIME TO RUN THE RACE -- A word through Donald Quick

I saw a group of lakes or ponds, and the water was being contaminated. Slowly but surely, Satan was pouring filth into the lakes and ponds of water. I felt God was telling me this was him breaking down of standards of righteousness, and weakening the Church's water supply from the inside out. He was taking away their strength to fight. Through this water, they were being transformed/conformed to mediocrity. Pretty soon there was nothing to stand on anymore. I now saw the lakes as shifting sand. You couldn't get a firm footing anywhere. I felt that this was a gradual leeking into the church of immorality and tolerance; numbers rather than substance. I saw their eyes were more on what they had built(structurally speaking), and not what the real structure was made of(filth and refuse). I saw they had even lost sight of God entirely. He was not the focus anymore. They also had a false sense of power and control. Where they thought they were strong, I saw that in fact, they had become fat and lazy.

TIME TO LOSE THE FAT

I saw that the Spirit-filled Christians were being asked to "trim down, lose the fat." I saw that it was about time to run the race. I felt the time of "filling up" was over. Time to get moving, do the work we are called to do. I saw Satan encouraging Christians to gluton themselves. He was saying, "Don't leave the table. Have some more." Some were content in this, and kept on eating, and getting fat. I kept feeling that God really wanted us to get up from the table. It was now time for action, to move out.

NEED TO BE ALERT AND READY FOR A FIGHT

I saw we are to lap up the water with our hands, like Gideons men. I saw too many men and women laying on the shore with their faces in the water just guzzeling away, not a care in the world. They weren't concerned about an impending fight, or that there was even an enemy around. They were too busy gorging themselves. I felt that God was telling me that He wanted to refresh His people, but have a people more alert and ready for battle, and less concerned with continually filling themselves up. He wants a people with their eyes continually looking, and their minds constantly aware of the enemy and his presence. Too many have closed their eyes, and are trying to get their wants and desires filled. They want what they want, and they are being filled to the point of sickness, as it was with the Israelites and the quail.

What I saw now, was the time to prepare ourselves. I saw a picture of a General dressed in army fatigues with men all around. He waved His arm as if to motion for us to come on and follow, and I heard Him shout, "MOVE OUT", and we did. I believe now is a time to call for action in the body of Christ. We have been blessed with a mighty soaking from God, but I believe He is now calling for us to move with the anointing and power He has filled us up with. We will have all eternity to soak in His presence, now is a time to move in the anointing. If you feel this testify in your spirit, then pray for the Lord of the Harvest to send for His laborers. It is time to work the fields, and prepare for the coming harvest.
