ENTER INTO THE BREAKTHROUGH

Here at Matt Sorger Ministries, we have entered a new season of God's presence with an incredible release of an open heaven. I have been living in His presence for weeks now, and with each passing day it grows stronger and stronger.

There is a place of breakthrough that God gives us, and as long as we protect the ground we have gained in Him, there is nothing that can hinder us from moving higher and higher in His power and glory. If you are reading this, I want to invite you into this place of breakthrough with us. Position yourself before the Lord in prayer, and let Him pour out His glory in a fresh way in your life.

I have recently been seeking the Lord in a deeper way, and [I] have felt a renewed passion and sense of urgency to see a fresh awakening released in our nation. God is about to break out all over our nation with extended moves of His Spirit. God is sending us to strategic locations throughout the country to help prepare the way for one of the greatest moves of God we have ever seen.

There has been a tremendous anointing in our meetings with a great release of God's glory and healing power. People are being healed of cancer, deafness, Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, eye conditions, back conditions, and Rheumatoid Arthritis, along with many other life-threatening illnesses.


GOD IS LOOKING FOR A RESTING PLACE

"And His resting place shall be glorious." -- Isaiah 11:10

As I have been waiting on God, I can hear His voice speaking very clearly. I hear the Spirit of God saying that He is looking for a resting place. The Holy Spirit desires to come and abide in a tangible way. And He is looking for those who will make room for Him to come. He is about to release such an outpouring, that [it] will rival that of the Charismatic renewal of the 1970's. Another wave of revival will hit the Catholic Church, bringing a renewed passion for Jesus in their midst.

As the Holy Spirit is poured out, there will be many centers of healing raised up where people will come from miles around to receive a touch from Him. There will be such a degree of the manifest presence of God that people will be healed before they are even prayed for. They will be healed just walking into His presence. God is about to show off His power. The healing anointing is about to increase upon the church, releasing many into signs, wonders, and miracles with a bold witness for the Lord. Even the meekest among us will roar like a lion.

"And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken, they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness." -- Acts 4:31

A SEASON OF INSPECTION AND TESTING

God is looking for resting places where He can come and settle down -- places where He can display His power and [He is looking for] people with whom He can trust His anointing. The church is in a season of inspection and testing. Just as Gideon's army was tested to see who would qualify, so now many hearts are being tested. Many have been in testing and have not understood why or have lost sight of the ultimate end, which is the display of God's glory.

It is vital that each one of us, personally and corporately, recognize the tests we are facing so that we can pass them and move to the next level God has for us. We must get the heavenly perspective [so] that our circumstances, no matter how negative, do not determine our future. It is our response to those circumstances that will determine our next step in God and whether He can trust us with more of His power.

"But the Lord said to Gideon, "The people are still too many; bring them down to the water, and I will test them for you there." -- Judges 7:4

The very testing some have been walking through will become the very thing that promotes them in this next season. They will become carriers of God's grace and glory, for they will have learned two things during this time: they will have learned how to lean upon God's grace which has been sufficient for them, and they will have learned that God's glory is revealed in their weaknesses.

"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities (weaknesses), that the power of Christ may rest upon me." -- 2 Corinthians 12:9

God will strategically use these vessels of clay to reveal His glory in this next season. Some will even be the most unlikely. God will choose the most unlikely of people, just like He chose Gideon, hiding in a winepress, the weakest of the weak (Judges 6:15). We must remember God is for us and wants to promote us. It will be by His power, through a yielded heart, that we overcome every test and pass [on] to the next level. Every test we are facing or have faced is an opportunity for promotion.

"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus' sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So then death is working in us, but life in you." -- 2 Corinthians 4:7-12 (also see verses 13-18)

THE SWORD OF THE LORD GOD'S JUSTICE AND JUDGMENT RELEASED AGAINST THE WORKS OF THE ENEMY

In Judges 7:16-22 Gideon instructs the 300 [men] to hold their torches inside empty pitchers. After they surround the camp of the enemy, at Gideon's command they blow their trumpets and break the pitchers and cry out, "The sword of the Lord and of Gideon!" Suddenly, the enemy is thrown into confusion, flees, and turns on itself, bringing victory to Gideon's army.

God is about to release the light of His glory through vessels that have been emptied and broken so that He can execute and decree judgment on the works of the enemy. As God's glory is revealed in us during this next season, the very works of the enemy will come under God's judgment and be destroyed. God is releasing again His sword of justice on behalf of His people.

"For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil." -- 1 John 3:8

GREAT SHAKING -- GROANINGS FOR THE REVELATION OF THE MANIFESTED SONS OF GOD

"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now." -- Romans 8:18-22

There is a great shaking happening in the world around us today. There is a groaning in nature as creation experiences the labor pains of her full redemption. Earthquakes, famine, hurricanes, flooding -- these are all signs of the approaching redemption and revelation of the Church in full power and glory. The sufferings of this present age can not be compared to the glory that is about to be revealed in the Church.

The time is drawing nearer. When a woman is about to give birth, the contractions get stronger and more frequent. The more creation groans in travail, the closer we are to our full redemption and transformation. The shakings around us are a sign of the power that is about to be revealed in the Church. Get ready!

PREPARE AND BE READY

So get ready, and prepare your hearts for His coming. Holiness and purity will be great preparations for you as your temple is cleansed and made ready to house the increase that is coming. We prepare ourselves by staying full of His presence and by guarding our hearts against any defilement of the flesh and the world.

"And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: 'I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.' Therefore, come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty." -- 2 Corinthians 6:16-18

Be prepared and ready. Let your spirit be full of oil. Matthew 25 reveals to us that we are each responsible to have our own oil. We can't depend on someone else's relationship with God. We need to have our own. As we cultivate our relationship with Him, He will prepare us for His coming.

"Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!' Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.' But the wise answered, saying, 'No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.' And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us!' But he answered and said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.' Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming." -- Matthew 25:1-13

As God releases the Spirit of Awakening within us, we are brought out of darkness and into His marvelous light. His light within us exposes and drives out the shame of sin and empowers us to live in complete freedom and victory. As the Spirit awakens our hearts with His light, our lives are full of spiritual fruit and power.

"For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. Therefore He says: 'Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.'" -- Ephesians 5:8-14

During this time of inspection, we must remain self-controlled, alert, watchful, and sober. As we abide in His light and glory, He will fill us with more and more of Himself, releasing more of His presence and manifest power in our lives.

"You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore, let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ." -- 1 Thessalonians 5:5-9

These are key scriptures for the Church in this hour. They talk about living with an awakened heart. Meditate on them and pray them over your life.

Stay alert and be on-guard against all distractions. 1 Peter 5:8 exhorts us to be sober, self-controlled, vigilant, and watchful. And nothing will be able to stand against what God will do in the days to come. Your destiny in Him is limitless!

This prophetic now-word of the Lord will help prepare your heart to move to the next level of God's power and glory in your life. Don't be caught sleeping during this hour of history. Receive a fresh anointing to live with an awakened heart!
