Must Wake Up From Our Slumber and Realize That We are at War. . ."

My daughter, Cassandra, had a dream; in the dream she was
at a Christian campground. It was night time and everyone was asleep, except
her. She was awake because she felt something was wrong. As she lay awake on her
bed, she saw out her window a raging fire, and it was headed straight toward the
campgrounds.
She ran to the camp official and frantically told him that he needed to get all
the kids out of the camp because of the fire that was headed their way. But he
did not believe her and told her she was crazy. She ran to a window and opened
it; she screamed at him, wanting desperately to convince him, "Look, there is a
fire out there!" But he just rolled his eyes at her and told her to go back to
bed.
In the dream, Cassandra's friend heard her screaming and ran to see what was
wrong. She showed her friend the fire; she believed her, and they ran to safety.
The two girls were the only two who made it out of the camp alive; the rest of
the people were burned while they slept in their beds.
Put on Your Armor of Light
When she shared this dream with me, I thought of how it reminded me of the
Church at this time. How passively we endure the onslaught of our enemy, without
really realizing we are at war with him. The enemy has sent a consuming fire to
destroy us, and we remain asleep while the he advances.
In Romans 13:11-12 it says, "It is already the hour
for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we
believed. The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore, let us lay
aside the deeds of darkness and PUT ON THE ARMOR OF LIGHT." (emphasis mine)
The day the world has been in need of is upon us. The night is almost over, and
the day is almost here when the Church will arise in power and devour her
enemies. But we must wake up from our slumber and realize that we are at war and
put on the armor of light.
The Lord is calling us from our slumber to battle in the heavenlies for the
souls of men. He has declared war on principalities and powers that have held
them in darkness. We must dust off the cobwebs of apathy and passivity and fight
for His sake. We must take authority over the realms of darkness for His sake.
Plunder the Darkness
Everything God has fought for was for us. He has given us the keys to the
kingdom of darkness and commanded us to "plunder it." Our faith without deeds is
like having a gun, but not using it. It cannot be life as usual anymore; no, we
must realize that we are at war and fight!
The day of our salvation is at hand, but it will not be acquired passively. We
must fight and "through God we shall do valiantly, and it is He who will tread
down our adversaries," (Psalm 60:12). God will give us the victory, but we must
fight. We must throw off passivity and advance against our enemies in the name
of the Lord.
We Have Authority
We have allowed Satan to deceive us; he has infiltrated our minds and conned us
into thinking that we are at peace -- that all is well. And we have slept while
the enemy has tried to destroy us. We have slept while our Churches have been
pillaged. We questioned our authority in Christ while our children's hearts have
been stolen away by the enemy.
Church, we have authority! God has given us authority over all demonic activity
(Luke 9:1; Matthew 28:18-19). We must use it. Jesus said, "The work of God is
this: to believe on the One He has sent," (John 6:29). Our job is to have faith
-- to pray and believe.
"I say to you, if you have
faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here
to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you."
-- Matthew 17:20
You have mountain-moving faith inside of you! You must use
it to bind Satan and take authority over him because God has given you authority
over all things everywhere. We rule and reign with Christ! (2 Timothy 2:12;
Psalm 103:19)
It is a new day Church! It is time to wake up from our
slumber and rise up in battle and plunder our enemy's lair. This is the day of
our salvation as a Church and for the millions who will be set free through this
war. So, put on your armor of Light Church, put it on!
