Chuck Pierce: "Pray Now for the Storm's Fury to be Lessened and a Current Report
From the Gulf Coast States"

Dear People of Faith:
Keep praying for the situation with Hurricane Rita. Things are beginning to turn
with the storm's projected path. Keep asking the Lord to dismantle the fury and
destruction of this storm. Ask the Lord to bring revival to Galveston, Houston and
the Texas coast.
When I was in California last December, I saw a huge wave. I said, "Lord, what am
I seeing." He said, "Waves of change are beginning to mount. You have a choice:
you can either ride these waves of change and harness their power, or you can resist
change this year, and destruction and decay will overwhelm you."
This is a time we must learn to weather the waves of change. To
change means to turn, to put in place, to make another, to pass away, or to be transformed.
Continue praying that the Body is willing to change at this time.
We have a new song about change by Aaron Smith. I always watch, very carefully,
to see how the sound of the Lord comes forth, especially in the next generation.
Aaron, lead singer of Strategy of a Launch, just wrote a song that is probably one
of the most incredible, worshipful, powerful-sounding songs that I have heard for
this hour.
We are producing "Finals and Futures" (Braving Storms' Waves). Very
seldom do I hear something that produces an emotional release like this song. However,
it also releases a sound of sustaining strength in the midst of the waves of change
that are being produced by the storms of life at this time. When I listened to this
song, I said, "Lord, put this deep in my spirit so I can get to the end of my journey
this hour." You can order this for $5 by calling (888) 965-1099 or (940) 382-7231
(MC and Visa only) or by going to http://www.glory-of-zion.org/
I see people rising up and praying all across our nation regarding this storm. Just
this morning, I received a phone call from Apostles Kim and Ardell Daniels. They
are presently in San Antonio (where many are evacuating to) and went down to the
river there that flows into the Gulf.
They are praying for change in our land and declaring that the fury
of Hurricane Rita be dismantled and lessened. Then just this morning, our friends
in Israel sent a study on "Dismantling the Storm" (given to them by an end-time
handmaiden). To dismantle means to take apart, disassemble, tear down, and to put
an end to, in a gradual, systematic way.
We need to continue praying that this storm is dismantled. Physically,
in order for a hurricane to form and intensify, it needs warm waters, an atmosphere
that cools fast at high levels, has relatively moist layers in the middle, and low
levels of vertical wind shear. So specific ways to pray to disrupt a hurricane are:
to increase the central pressure inside the storm, to decrease the swirling winds,
to lower the temperatures of the warm Gulf waters, to dry out the mid-levels in
the storm's atmosphere, to disorganize the system, and to send large values of vertical
wind shear to disrupt the cyclonic winds.
Finally, here are the latest reports from our USSPN Coordinators in the Gulf Coast
states for you to read and pray through.
Blessings,
Chuck D. Pierce

LOUISIANA
We so appreciate you, your prayer for our states, and your coming alongside us in
a tangible way. It has so blessed us and the leaders from Southeast Louisiana. Over
the years, we've seen the Lord use the USSPN for strategic breakthroughs in our
nation, but through this disaster, we've seen it in an entirely different light.
We've seen the power of covenant relationships. From across the
nation, we've had phone calls, notes filled with compassion, commitments to pray,
and a huge financial flood. The response has generated several thousand dollars,
which we've been able to put in the hands of key leaders in this region. They are
humbled and extremely grateful!
There seems to be an overcoming resilient spirit and a very focused purpose for
rebuilding. However, we also sense a deep hurt and trauma to their lives. The needs
continue to be monumental, and the help they need is not just for today, but for
months to come.
Here are some of the prayer needs:
-
Pray for President Bush, Governor Blanco, Governor Barbour, and
other elected officials to have wisdom, as they plan for the arduous task of rebuilding
this Gulf Coast region.
?
-
Pray that the church of Mississippi and Louisiana (particularly
Los Angeles) will not look to the government to rebuild but will take responsibility
to care for the displaced and to sow finances, sacrificially.
?
-
Pray against the welfare state being re-established in New Orleans.
?
-
Pray for hidden agendas to be exposed in every arena.
?
-
Pray for Louisiana government officials to steward relief money
with wisdom and integrity. Bind all corrupting influences.
?
-
As has been spoken prophetically, pray that the church of Louisiana
would submit to the purifying work that God has demonstrated in the natural.
?
-
Pray for a continued cleansing of the womb of this nation.
?
-
As Apostle Willie Wooten (Gideon Fellowship, New Orleans) said,
we have spoken of shifting into new paradigms, and now the church of New Orleans
and Southeast Louisiana is there! Continue to declare that the Saul system is coming
down, and the Davidic system is being established.
?
-
When God removed his protection from Jerusalem, and they were attacked
by Assyria, God called for mourning and weeping and for them to seek Him for the
rebuilding. When they did not, He said in Isaiah 22:14,
". . .Surely for this iniquity there will be no atonement
for you. . . "
?
-
Pray for the church of this region to seek the Lord for His plan
for rebuilding. It's not about the bricks and stones, but how He wants the church
to be relationally established for transformation and kingdom advancement.
?
-
Pray for the new blueprint to continue to unfold in the church of
Baton Rouge. The church there has risen to a whole new level since the storm, and
truly as was spoken prophetically, it has become a city of refuge.
?
-
Pray for praise and worship to arise, and for the purifying wind
of holiness to continue to sweep across Los Angeles.
?
-
Pray for Louisiana and the other states affected by this storm,
to not miss the opportunity God is giving us to change and advance!
?
-
Pray for the church of Louisiana to embrace the prophetic and God's
covenant plan.

MISSISSIPPI
What a glorious day for the church in this nation to arise. We have seen with our
own eyes, the Bride of Christ rise up to meet the Lord, in this day of devastation
and glory! As we drove to the coast to meet with pastors, what we saw both gladdened
our hearts and caused us to weep with joy and sorrow.
How we rejoiced as we saw truck after truck of supplies coming to
our coast with supplies, not only of food, water, and crews of workers to help clear
the debris and restore power and water to the people of this land; but also bringing
an abundant supply of spiritual support by saying "We are one body, and we stand
along side of you in this time!" We thank the church in this nation for this outpouring
of love, prayers, labor, supplies, and support of finances.
We also see that elements of the church of the Gulf Coast of Mississippi are strong
and ready to move with the Lord in this kairos time! As one pastor put it, "The
Lord has done a new thing. He has blown out our walls (literally), and we will embrace
this new thing and move with Him!"
We witnessed how the Lord is giving wisdom to the pastors to set
up strategic command centers, rather than be just a distribution center.
The pastors' hearts are not only to meet the immediate needs of people for food
and shelter, but also to have strategies in place to advance His Kingdom.
In one location, the city and the county governments have asked
the church there to take over the distribution and relief for the city and county.
The pastor explained to them that they would continue to counsel, share the Gospel,
pray with the recipients, and give out Bibles, along with comfort and food. The
city fathers responded, "That is great, and we will furnish the building, and the
utilities, if you will continue to do what you are doing. You and your team are
doing a great job." The Wisdom of the Lord is Great, and He gives it freely to His
people.
When asked what they need, most pastors have said, "People with
a heart to serve and work, money, and heavy equipment!" In one city, 40% of the
population that worked in New Orleans have lost their jobs. The city has also had
an influx of people come there for shelter and food.
We felt our assignment from the Lord was to take in the financial resources we had
already received from the Body of Christ in other states, and to go and hold up
the arms of the pastors who are on the ground doing the work. We felt led to serve
them communion and give them the following words:
-
You are not victims, you are VICTORS! We fight from a position
of victory, because we are seated in heavenly places with the Father. And Psalm
29:10-11 reads, "The Lord sitteth upon the flood; yea,
the Lord sitteth King for ever.? The Lord will give strength unto his people;
the Lord will bless his people with peace."
?
-
"Strength and dignity are her clothing,
and her position is strong and secure. She [the Bride of Christ] rejoices over the
future, knowing that she and her family are in readiness for it! She [The Bride
of Christ] opens her mouth with skillful and Godly wisdom, and in her tongue is
the law of kindness, giving counsel and instruction. She looks well to know how
things go in her household, and the bread of idleness (self-pity) she will not eat.
Her children (the harvest) rise up and call her blessed, AND HER HUSBAND [The
Bridegroom] BOASTS OF AND PRAISES HER! . . . Give her the fruit of her hands
and let her own works praise her in the gates of the city [and the state]!"
-- Proverbs 31: 25-31 (Amplified)
The needs in the lower half of Mississippi are still great, and
even mind boggling in the natural. Our universities have had $700 million dollars
of damage alone. There are still numbers of families inland, in rural areas, who
are without power and water. Large numbers of businesses suffered so much damage
that it will be months before they can reopen, if even then.
Please continue to war in the Spirit with us to see restoration
and new birth come forth. One Pastor shared with us that a 10 year old boy in their
church had brought a present to his mom, as she sat on the rubble that had been
their home. He held in his hands a small flower bud. As he gave it to her he said
"Look, Mom, new life!"
Our prayer is that we will have the eyes of a child to see beyond
this and proclaim "NEW LIFE!" to our state. If anyone has anything to offer (time
to come and help, supplies, money), please email or phone us, and we will direct
you to pastors or ministries who will plug you in.

ALABAMA
Praise Report! The Lord is causing so many things to work for good. It is
our responsibility to be instant in season, to redeem the time, and
to make the most of every opportunity. The overwhelming devastation and displacement
from Katrina has brought unprecedented opportunity, as repeatedly, city and government
officials are turning to the churches for help!
• Federal government and relief agencies were completely overwhelmed
and have been unable to address the scope of the need following Katrina, and this
has brought an unprecedented door of opportunity for the church, as government requests
her help.
• Churches have been connected, networked, and mobilized throughout
communities and cities to meet the need. The common mission of compassion, ministry,
and the testimony of Jesus is uniting the church in a whole new way.
• There has, literally, been a networking of the networks within
the Christian community - whether denominational, relief, or compassion-related
among others - with shared databases emerging of relief needs and resources.
• There is a joining in the Christian community of Mary and Martha, prayer and compassion,
loving God and loving our neighbor, and Isaiah 58 coming to pass.
• Short-term compassion efforts have quickly been mobilized, yet, are resulting
in long-term vision emerging.
• As refugees and need have overflowed communities and an undeniable mission field
has emerged locally, many churches, that have had a passion for foreign missions,
have awakened to the need of local missions. In addition, churches, that
have had a passion for local missions, have in a similar way awakened to
the need for foreign or distant mission efforts, with such a great
need on the Gulf Coast, being distant, yet visible. It seems there is an awakening
occurring to the whole of Acts 1:8: "Our call including
our Jerusalem, and our Judea, and our Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the earth."
• A scepter of favor has repeatedly been extended from governmental leaders to the
church in this hour of need.
Prayer Points
• Please agree in prayer, that the church will continue to discern
the time and know what must be done.
• Please agree in prayer for great wisdom concerning specific assignments within
the Christian community -- that the new unity and relationships will facilitate
gifts complementing each other, strengths covering weakness, and bring clear understanding
of how each specific role and part fits into the bigger picture for the greatest
kingdom impact, Christian testimony, and ministry effectiveness and efficiency.
• Please agree in prayer that Alabama might truly love her neighbors, and lift the
arms of Los Angeles and Mississippi.
• Please agree in prayer that the church will burn as a shining light and the testimony
of Jesus would be undeniable
• Please agree in prayer that the church would be a faithful steward with what city
and governmental officials are entrusting to her.
• Please agree in prayer that these things would provide the needed catalyst for
the "right" and "healthy" relationship, which God originally intended, between church
and state, the kingdom and the priesthood, and the government of man and God.
• Please agree in prayer for the spirit of the Lord and anointing
to restore broken hearts, broken lives, broken walls, and waste cities (Isaiah 58
& 61), for the mantle of Nehemiah (the comforter of the Lord) to see the desolation
of many generations -- inward and outward -- restored, for the perseverance to see
all these things through, and the faith and patience to inherit the promise.

TEXAS
I have observed a giant, growing frustration with "bureaucratic red tape," in the
processes of getting routine government agency help (worker's comp checks, Soc Sec
checks, etc). The new focus seems to be moving toward helping the laborers who are
in the field in Louisiana.
There are different categories of volunteer laborers in the field:
medical, nutritional, tree removal, chaplain type ministry, and resource administration.
Many of these volunteers are doing their jobs with little sleep, no air conditioning,
and less than usual personal hygiene arrangements. These laborers need renewed strength
and refreshed vision from the Lord.
In a report from Doug Stringer and Somebody Cares, Doug said, "As we transition
from our rapid response/rescue and relief phase, we need to regroup and strategize
for continuing relief and recovery." He asks for prayer for God's wisdom and His
strategies for meeting the long-term needs.
He added that the phrase, "What they need is hope," is a statement
that seems to be the general consensus of all who visit Louisiana and Mississippi,
especially the cities of New Orleans and Waveland. Although many evacuees will make
new lives where they are, during the next three to seven days, I believe the long
term and large group work will shift to Louisiana.
Prayerfully,
