The longing of the Father is to prepare a Church whose eyes and attention are fixed on Christ. He desires for His Bride to be equipped to walk in the victory of the cross. The enemy, understanding this truth, attempts to bring distractions that would remove our gaze from the Lord.
I believe the Lord is saying, "Church, beware and be watchful of the enemy's deception to present a weak cross that holds no victory or power. Beware of what the enemy presents as a demonic alternative to the power of the cross that holds no power or truth."
The Enemy's Counterfeit Plan of Distractions
On March 31, 2026, the Lord gave me a dream where I journeyed at a supernatural, miraculous speed until I reached a realm in the spirit that seemed like it was on the outskirts of the world we live in. There I encountered a woman who, without saying a word, tried to coerce me into looking and gazing at her. As I looked at her, she became a being that transformed into many faces, representing all manner of lusts. She looked at me hypnotically, and I realized that it was her plan to trap me in her demonic "world," which I knew represented her realm in the spirit. This was a demonic being with an agenda to trap Believers in that world so they would not journey to experience what the Lord had for them.
Thankfully, I felt no temptation to be part of this demonic world/realm, as I glanced at her only briefly. I had no desire to be part of an experience that I knew was not of the Lord. So I turned away, and under God's direction, I expectantly continued to navigate my way to the true encounter the Lord had for me.
God's Ordained Supernatural Encounter
Suddenly, in the dream, I reached a place where I saw a most awesome sight. I had entered into an unknown realm in the spirit which still seemed like it was on the very outskirts of the world we live in.
In this unknown "world," everything was all about Christ. The people living in that rustic town were busy putting on a show or drama about the crucifixion of Jesus.
They wanted the attention of the world to be focused on the cross. To them, the suffering of the Messiah was a message that should never be forgotten. This was their mission and their message. As I watched, I was visibly moved. My spirit was touched, and I marveled afresh at all the Lord had done on the cross.
A Message to the Body of Christ
I woke up from the dream with an urgent message for the Body of Christ. Christ, and all He did on the cross, must take center stage. The remembrance of the cross must burn in our hearts afresh. Attacks of sicknesses, betrayal, lustful temptations to sin, violence in our cities, and other attacks are on the rise to remove the eyes of the Church and world from the cross of our Lord Jesus and all the cross symbolizes—Christ's full redemption. The enemy knows that if the Church and the world would focus on the cross, there would be widespread salvations and revival transformation such as the world has never known or seen. At the very edge of breakthrough, the enemy's plan is to bring distraction and hindrance.
The Cross Should Be Our Daily Reality
If you have been caught in the trap of a demonic agenda and have even sinned or fallen into disobedience or unbelief, or are experiencing defeat, do not lose hope, for He is a God of restoration and mercy. For those who feel trapped in a prison of disobedience and sin, there is freedom through repentance and refocusing our gaze on the cross of Christ, wherein lies our victory and freedom. The Lord's word for you is to refocus and fix your gaze on Him.
The woman I saw in my dream was almost like a many-headed Medusa, who desired to change the one who fixed their gaze on her with a lustful intent to become that which they gazed upon. In this season, the wisdom of the Lord is for us to wear our whole armor, garrison our hearts, and guard the gates of our hearts and souls.
I believe my dream was to encourage us all to enter into this journey of encountering Christ and His cross afresh. This should be our daily reality.
"However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
"But as it is written: 'Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.'" (1 Corinthians 2:6–9 NKJV)
Such is the immense power of the cross that the enemy seeks to veil our hearts with deception so that we would see defeat instead of the victory of the cross. The heart's cry of the saints has ascended to the Father, saying, "Father, where is the victory of the cross?"
Precious ones, He hears your heart's cry and is reassuring you, "On the cross it was done!"
On the Cross It Was Done
These were the words, "On the cross it was done," that came to me in a powerful vision several years ago as I mourned the death of a dear pastor in Norway who had cancer and had died. Prior to this time, I had seen evidence of God's healing power, with several infirmities been healed in various meetings where the Lord had me minister. However, the infirmity of cancer seemed like an intimidating giant, as I didn't seem to see healings in that area when I and others had prayed for those with cancer. There seemed, at the time, an epidemic of many dying from cancer.
The death of that Norwegian pastor in 2013 was the catalyst that made me cry out to the Lord as I laid grieving on my bed, saying, "Lord, why do You not give Your Church the power over cancer?" Scripturally, I knew we had been given victory, but in my emotional state, that was my heartfelt cry to the Lord.
At my cry, the Lord appeared in a vision on the cross with the evidence of suffering on Him... the crown of thorns on His head and nails piercing His hands. As He looked into my eyes, He said, "I have already given you the power to destroy cancer. On the cross it was done." (Photo via Unsplash)
The vision disappeared but left me with a tangible gift of faith to see cancers healed. Years have passed, and from that moment on, the Lord has brought numerous healings across the nations —with many testimonies—to those who have had cancer after the Lord had me pray for them.
I feel led to declare this prophetically over the readers of this article: The victory released through the suffering of Christ on the cross belongs to you. The ashes of defeat will become a place of victory as you receive His words. The power to defeat what ails you has been granted to you. On the cross, it was done!
Receive the Exchange of the Cross
By the power of the name of Jesus, may the enemy's agenda to blind our eyes and hearts to the victory of the cross be broken. I see a revival breaking forth in lives and ministries as the cross takes center stage.
Receive the exchange of the cross in these areas:
• Purified hearts and His righteousness in place of sin and addictions,
• Freedom for our bondage,
• His stripes for the healing of our sicknesses,
• His death and resurrection for our salvation,
• His chastisement for our peace,
• His wounds for our transgressions.
There is a clarion call from Heaven to behold the cross and not be distracted. Saints of God, victory through the finished work on the cross has been sealed.
Heed the warning from the Lord not to behold the diabolical, the profane, and even past experiences that would bring fear. I hear Him say, "Do not lock eyes with evil that tries to hypnotize with lying evidence." The Lord wants to take you on an encounter to experience the supernatural where the cross will be the center of all you do.
The evil woman in my dream lost her power when I refused to fix my gaze on her but moved on trustingly to where the Lord would have me be—fixing my gaze on the cross. This is a dream with a message for the Body of Christ at large: Focus your gaze on Christ and on His cross, and receive the transformative glory He has for you.
