For a few days now, I have felt very unsettled in my spirit.
The New Orleans disaster has been on my heart, but also, I have been receiving warnings
that more upheaval is coming. It is almost as though I can smell war and crisis.
It is Not Good!
It is not good, but can be thwarted, if we come
into proper alignment. I sense upheavals in many nations, but my spirit is especially
feeling a warning for North America, with a specific prayer burden for the USA.
Many Lives Could
be Lost!
I have seen a vision of the enemy planting grenade-like objects in the land and
getting ready to detonate them. I believe this involves terrorism and a "sudden"
attack. I have also seen further shakings in the land of such magnitude that many
people's lives could be lost. I also see critical, economic shakings coming that
man will have no control over. I see increased taxation and escalation of interest
rates and commodities. I see crime and violence out of control as lawlessness increases.
Prayer can Move God to Intervene!
Prayer and repentance can thwart disaster. The
answer is to go to prayer and to repent for our sins. This is an urgent call!
There must be a returning to God and His ways in order to see the nation abide in
peace. If we can secure enough prayer -- a mass move of prayer and repentance --
then we will see the intervention of God. Like Nineveh, God will then withdraw His
hand of judgment from the land, and we will live in safety. If not, then we will
live in unrestrained crisis.
Pray, Church, Pray!
The following prayer directives are things that we must intercede for until righteousness
is established:
-
Pray for all Christians to turn away from
all sin.
The Lord has revealed that the Body of Christ is full of sin, sins such as pride,
religiosity, gossip, slander, immorality, dishonesty, unbelief, selfishness, injustice,
and perversion -- sins of commission and sins of omission. Sin must be addressed
in body. There is much sloppiness in the church, regarding unaddressed and unrepented
sin. This must come into alignment, in order for a revival of righteousness and
morality to come into the land. As long as there is sin, the enemy has a landing
strip. As long as there is unaddressed darkness in the church, we lack authority.

Pray for Christians to rise up in their God-given
authority.
I hear many Christians say at times of crisis, "Why doesn't God do something
about this?" God is always right. He is always good and true. He is looking for
His people to use their God-given authority. The heavens belong to the Lord, but
He has given the earth to man (see Genesis 1:27,28). All of creation is waiting
for the manifestation of the sons of God. We must rise up. Pray for the church to
come out of its slumber.

Pray for God's people to discern the times.
These are not days that we can be ignorant concerning what the Lord is calling
for. These are treacherous days, days of darkness and gloom; these are days of judgments.
We must discern the times and have wisdom on how to walk with God with uncompromised
faith during this time. Pray for discernment.

Cry out for revival.
2 Chronicles 7:14 says that "If My people, who are called by My name, will humble
themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven,
forgive their sin, and will heal their land." If we don't secure a revival, then
there are 2 options left: the judgments of God being manifest or being left to the
consequences of our own sin. The last option is the most harsh, brutal, and devastating.
Lets go for revival; it will take fervency in prayer. Let's shake off complacency.
If we can tip the scales of justice in favor of mercy, then we will have revival.
If not, then we will have further judgment and/or be left to the fruit of our own
actions.

Pray for righteous in our justice system.
This is for every nation, but especially for the USA. Pray for three
new U.S. Court Judges to be put in place, who are godly and wise in judgments. Pray
for these to be righteous, moral, and favored individuals. Pray for all of the judges
to be in perfect alignment with the will of God.

Pray fervently for government leaders.
This is absolutely essential in this hour. Bind their minds to the will of God.
Do not project your own judgments or biases into the prayer. Pray much in tongues,
and pray the Word of God concerning wisdom, justice, truth, and righteousness.

Believe for a prayer movement to sweep over
the land.
Pray for individuals, ministries, and Christian leaders in arenas of economy,
education, medical and political spheres, to lead prayer meetings. Believe for daily
prayer meetings in every community, where people can call on God together.

Pray for "Righteous Revolutionaries" to arise.
Invite the Lord to pour His Spirit out upon individuals (of all ages), who will
courageously rise up to call for righteousness in the world around them.

Pray for Homeland Security.
The safety of a nation lies in the Lord. Only the Lord can give this freedom,
and it can only be released if we are in alignment to His holy ways. Pray, Pray,
Pray.
-
Pray for the discovery of the enemy's plans.
Believe for security institutions to discover plots that would threaten the
security of the nation. Pray for the church to increase in prophetic and revelatory
sensitivity and precision. Pray that the church will inform the government as to
what the plots of threat are and give details concerning timing and place.
-
Pray for the Lord to have His rightful place
of worship in the earth.
Call forth many more 24 hour worship mandates and for a new call on individuals
to worship and exalt the righteous rule of Christ. Spend time in focused worship
every day.
-
Pray for a reversal of all ungodly decisions
made through the last generation (i.e. taking prayer and Bible reading out
of the schools; abortion laws, etc).
Pray for the emergence of the Josiah Generation -- the younger generation who, like
King Josiah, can potentially restore the righteous foundations of the land, in one
generation.
Again, I cannot begin to communicate how critical
I believe this time is. Let's go to prayer. Let's remain in prayer!
Searching for a Righteous Remnant
to Pour out On!
I have also felt that God is, once again, searching to and fro for the righteous
remnant in the land, who are willing to walk in a no-compromise position of righteousness,
holiness and purity, so that He can release Kingdom Power and Authority to be used
in times of need and crisis. He longs to pour out on those, who will cry out and
stand up for His will, and His ways to be re-established here, on earth, as they
are in heaven.
Dunamis Now!
As part of this, He has called us to bring together a major gathering of prophets,
speakers, and worshippers to help release a new level of power in the lives of those
who are hungry for more -- power for justice, power for evangelism, power for missions,
power for the prophetic, power for healing, and power to bear witness of who He
is. The time for this release of Kingdom power is now. That is why this gathering
is being called "Dunamis Now"!

EXTRA PRAYER
ALERT!!!
Bill Yount is a very well respected minister, who often contributes articles to
the Elijah List. He called and asked for emergency prayer for his mother Gertrude
Yount, who is 81 years old.
Several weeks ago, Gertrude fell and severely broke her ankle. Although pins were
placed in her ankle, it is not healing correctly, and the doctors are considering
amputating her foot.
Bill reports that the Lord has healed his mother many times in the past, to the
glory of His name, and is praying for Him to heal her again.
