"More Insights into New Orleans, its People, and its Change"

Note from Undrai Fizer: Louisiana is my native homeland. My personal history is found in the Cajun-speaking regions of Louisiana. Louisiana is also the birthplace of my incredible experiences with God, birthed in the fields when I was a little boy. In my walks in the fields that my grandparents owned, I would take a sack lunch for God and myself and sit and talk with Him for hours. From this "kingdomic" simplicity, He opened my eyes to see incredible visitations, as well as fed me things that my former denomination could not believe, especially from someone so young.

I wanted to send this to you in response to the questions that many may be having as a result of the present happenings in our world.
Hopefully, it would provide more insight for others to consider.

God does not "overlook sin." He reproves it. He does not allow sin to "go free." He judges it. Many, many questions have been raised concerning the destruction and loss that has come as a result of this hurricane (Katrina). As a matter of fact, during any major storm, prophetic questions will arise.

How does change come? At times, it comes through judgment -- the type that leaves destruction and loss, as the manifestation of its appearance. At other times, change comes through mercy, when it seems that God will initiate a warning, along with light affliction. His mercy is seen when things could have been more worse than expected -- as was the case here for New Orleans.

New Orleans' NEW God-Given Identity

In the midst of the obvious darkness that this region has been known for -- perversion, sex, voodoo, and witchcraft -- there is still a people who carry the voice of God within their being. When a city is defined by the perspectives of the world, it would seem that that city hasn't got a chance with God. New Orleans is not synonymous with Righteousness, but has always been linked to parades of evil, lust, and perversion. It's a tourist town in the mind of the world. But does the mind of the world emulate the Mind of God?

The world sees New Orleans as one thing (as I'm quite sure they would see any other major city struck down by catastrophe). Judgment from God carries, within it, its own look, design, intention, and purposed outcome. God has always revealed wrath with a designed outcome.
For this particular place, He has initiated "New Clothes." A removal of the old covering, a tearing away of what should not be, and revealing what should be established.

A new identity comes as a result of an old one being taken away. I'm pretty sure that it would be "out there" for the world to see New Orleans as a church. However, God did not come to make New Orleans a religious pyramid. It has already been established in that. He has initiated a transition that will produce a new identity.

Judgment & Mercy

Even when God's prophets declare judgment on a region, they too will feel the pressure of what they have spoken. Elijah had prophesied a major drought in the land, and even the brook that was provided for him to drink out of during the drought, dried up. However, God sent him to a widow to be supplied for during the drought. What does God do when His servants are yet in a land where darkness is esteemed? Does their presence there provoke change, whether in the form of judgment, or
mercy that is accompanied by loss? Are there believers who have
been assigned to the dark places of the world?

Change comes through destruction, as well as "painful mercy." When times are good, be happy. But when times are bad, consider and look within. God is not surprised by destruction, especially a destruction that He designs. During every God-ordained judgment, He also showed His mercy, by establishing the lives who would be responsible for ushering in change. There is a people in these regions who are responsible for the change of apparel for these regions -- especially New Orleans.

The Process Has Just Begun

Mass destruction, even unexplainable destruction, can and will also produce mass mercy. Time brings about the change. Mindsets towards New Orleans, as well as other media focused cities, must be changed in order for change to be revealed. God's wrath can also produce God's Path to salvation and change. God has a people . . . regardless of
circumstances, destruction, and judgment. Is it hard to focus on the
Light that dwells within His people, who may reside in these places that are considered dark?

When a city, or region, has unconsciously and ignorantly embraced it's condemnation, change is the only thing that can be initiated there.
When Jesus' disciples went to prepare a village of Samaritans for His arrival and they denied Him entry, the disciples responded by saying, "Send fire from heaven and consume them!" (Luke 9:54) But Jesus said, "You don't know what kind of spirit you are of; for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them."

When the "dead" are already dead, destruction is already present. But when the Father's voice is residing in His people, even amongst the dead, change is present. It is time to speak prophetically into the lives of those who possess the seeds of change, and stir up the rivers of transformation within them. The holiness that is assigned for these regions that have been touched by the storm, will not be built in one day. The process has just begun.

Who Will Be Responsible for Change?

New Orleans' new clothes will come as a result of prophetic process, time, and redefinement. Awakenings always begin with a massive moving away! The grounds of repentance must first be swept and prepared.

Adversity, brought on by a taking away, has within it, the power to produce repentance. It's name is defined as new clothes, even if this destruction would not have happened. But the destruction drew our focus upon the region, thus giving prophetic people the ability to discern, speak, and release the intentions of God for that region and beyond. And as a result of the region attracting mass attention, it's name was revealed. It had been hidden all of this time. A strong wind, however, moved away the pieces that would eventually reveal it!

Now, is God's focus on those who will be responsible for change? Or, is God's focus on what that city has been established in all of these years?
Can God, in one move of His hand, establish His intentions for both?
At the same time? In one move of His hand? I believe He can. I believe He did . . .
