Helen Calder: The Train Station Vision: His Grace Will Make a Way in 2026!

Helen Calder, Melbourne, Australia
Feb 10, 2026

As this new year unfolds, I believe God is ministering these words over us: "My grace will make a way."

It's a simple yet powerful reminder, and it's especially relevant for the season we're stepping into.

God promises, "When you can't see, I will lead you by a way you do not know, and in paths you have not known. I will make darkness light before you, and crooked places straight. These things I will do for you, and not forsake you" (Based on Isaiah 42:16 NKJV).

So, even if the way is not clear right now, you can be assured of this: Your Father is faithful, and He is moving ahead of you.

A Vision of Train Tracks

In early December, I had a vision of train tracks. They were a blend of old wood and metal, and they appeared to be from an old, disused railway. But as I looked, I realized they were in a state of transformation.

New metal was emerging, and it was pure, shining silver! A metamorphosis was taking place. I knew in that moment the silver represented grace and redemption.

That's when the Holy Spirit brought this phrase to mind: "Grace will make a way."

What began as a spontaneous vision in December became a message that God continued to highlight for the year ahead.

A Way in the Wilderness

It reminded me of Isaiah's words: "Listen! It's the voice of someone shouting, 'Clear the way through the wilderness for the Lord! Make a straight highway through the wasteland for our God! Fill in the valleys, and level the mountains and hills. Straighten the curves, and smooth out the rough places. Then the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. The Lord has spoken!'" (Isaiah 40:3–5 NLT). (Photo via Pexels)

Sometimes, grace looks like disruption. The ground is being carved up, and we don't understand why. We may see only rubble—remnants of what once was or something we valued, a sign of the enemy's work. The track may even appear blocked. Still, God's Word gives us hope. He can reshape the terrain! And as you turn it over to Him and say yes, God is making a way, this year and beyond.

God's Grace Covers the Past

Sometimes, as we begin to move forward, we are tempted to look back, to mourn what could have been, or what we wish we'd done differently. Yet as we contemplate this prophetic picture of the tracks, something unexpected happens: We look behind us, and instead of scars and wreckage, we see grace. The whole landscape is covered in silver, redeemed.

"For His unfailing love toward those who fear Him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west." (Psalm 103:11–12 NLT)

Grace Empowers the Leader

A train speaks of motion, direction, and power. It also speaks of leadership and carrying others forward in a vision. Perhaps you've carried prophetic dreams but wonder, "Do I still have what it takes?"

Hear the apostle Paul's words: "But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me" (1 Corinthians 15:10 NKJV).

God's grace is His unmerited favor toward you. It's His action on your behalf, and His power at work within you. So, receive a fresh revelation of God's grace. He hasn't forgotten the vision He gave you. Some of you need to know: God is recommissioning you and grace is reawakening your momentum.

Grace in the Midst of Weakness

Paul knew what it was to feel weak and still move forward by grace. God said to him, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness..." (2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV).

And Paul reflected, "... Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me" (2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV).

This is the mystery of grace: In the very place where you feel unqualified, God's power rests. You may feel ordinary, but grace empowers you. The Holy Spirit is preparing you to rise. Even now, God is moving, and He is about to do something unexpected.

A Word for Churches: The Train Station Vision

Then suddenly, the vision changed.

I found myself standing at the site of a historic train station. It was a real place I'd visited before, but I knew immediately it wasn't about the location; it was symbolic.

The station had long been shut down. All that remained were relics, a memorial, and a mound of dirt. Yet in that moment, I sensed the Lord's desire rising within me—a fervent call to intercede for churches and communities, regions and high places of influence, where God once moved in power. Just like in my vision, there are places where there was once a "station": a gathering point, a move of God, a visible outworking of grace. They've been recorded in the history books, but that chapter has felt closed.

Then, I heard the Lord say, "Make way."

This is because both of these things are happening at once:

• We are pioneering the new and restoring the old.

• We are receiving new blueprints and returning to ancient foundations.

"Those from among you shall build the old waste places; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, the Restorer of Streets to Dwell In." (Isaiah 58:12 NKJV)

Dancing Again and a Fresh Beginning

As I prayed, I realized God is not only revealing His plans, but He is also inviting us to stand with Him to pray, intercede, and declare. Resurrection power is at work. The life of the Spirit is flowing. And many didn't see Him coming! Some who once danced on what they thought was the Church's grave will dance again in the house of the Lord, giving praise to our God.

So we say, "Come, Lord Jesus."

Today marks a fresh start. And it's not because of anything you've done, or failed to do, but all because of Jesus. The key is in our surrender, because right here, in the face of impossibility, there is a grace encounter. This is the very place where God takes over.
