Yvon Attia: The Jar-Breakers Are Arising

A Dividing Month: Separation That Brings Clarity

February is a dividing month, but it's not a division that breeds confusion; it is a separation that produces clarity. On the second day of creation, God had not yet called land out of the waters. He did something more foundational: He separated.

Genesis tells us that God created a space between the waters of Heaven and the waters of earth. Nothing visibly dramatic emerged that day, yet everything that followed depended on it. Day two was not about appearance. It was about distinction. It was about order. It was about God deciding what could no longer remain mixed. This February carries that same spiritual weight.

This is the month where God will expose what has been blended together for too long. It is not merely behavior that is being revealed, but motive. This February, God will not only show what people do, He will uncover why they do it. Hearts are being weighed, not performances—leaders' hearts, disciples' hearts, and worshipers' hearts.

Scripture frames it clearly: "Then God said, 'Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth.' And that is what happened... And evening passed and morning came, marking the second day" (Genesis 1:6–8 NLT).

Mixture Will Be Addressed

This will be a month of exposure and separation, a month where mixtures are being addressed, a month where God is putting space between what has been improperly joined.

To understand what February will reveal, let us take a look at Mark 14—a chapter that opens like a prophetic film, where two simultaneous scenes unfold:

In one room, there were secret plots, quiet conversations, and carefully calculated timing. Religious leaders were searching for a way to capture Jesus without ever being captured by Him. They were driven by strategy instead of surrender, by image rather than obedience, by control instead of consecration. They wanted to manage truth, not yield to it.

Mark records it this way: "It was now two days before Passover and the Festival of Unleavened Bread. The leading priests and the teachers of religious law were still looking for an opportunity to capture Jesus secretly and kill Him" (Mark 14:1 NLT; see also v. 2). (Photo via Wikipedia)

They were looking for opportunity, because their hearts lived in calculation. They wanted to capture Jesus, because they sought to control what could only be obeyed. And they did it secretly, because they knew their intentions could not survive the light. Fear of people and preservation of reputation guided them more than reverence for God.

Motives of Those at the Table Will Be Exposed

Then Scripture gives us one of its most powerful transitions in verse three: "Meanwhile..."

While plotting was happening in secret, something else was unfolding in plain sight, but from the margins. Jesus was seated at a table in Bethany, not in the center of power, not in the spotlight. Bethany—a place associated with affliction, stigma, and need. Yet it was there, not in Jerusalem's halls of influence, that global impact was born.

Mark wrote: "Meanwhile, Jesus was in Bethany at the home of Simon, a man who had previously had leprosy. While He was eating, a woman came in..." (Mark 14:3 NLT).

This table was not casual. It was an honor banquet. In that culture, only men reclined at such tables. A woman's presence was considered disruptive—even dangerous—to social order. Women were often viewed as moral risks; their testimonies held little public weight. A man speaking privately with a woman could cause scandal. Yet, for us, this February God will expose what is really at the table.

The table is a stage of honor in the Spirit (see Psalm 23:5). This month, God will allow the table to reveal who loves Him for who He is and who loves proximity, platform, appearance, or control.

Disruptive Worship: All About the Heart

In a room where respectability was guarded and opinions were curated, a woman walked in.

She entered carrying an alabaster jar—beautiful, costly, sealed.

"She broke open the jar and poured the perfume over His head." (Mark 14:3 NLT)

This was disruptive worship. It was worship that did not ask permission from culture, worship that did not negotiate with reputation, worship that bypassed commentary and went straight to Christ. (Photo via StockCake)

In a private room in Bethany, she performed a kingly act over Jesus before the crown of thorns was ever placed on His head. While leaders were rejecting His authority, she recognized His worth. She anointed the head that would soon bear suffering and treated Him as King before the world ever acknowledged it.

Her act also mirrored God's own language of honor. In Scripture, head anointing at a banquet signaled welcome, acceptance, and favor.

"You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil." (Psalm 23:5 NLT)

Her worship declared, "You are not merely a guest. You are Lord." She brought fragrance into a chapter saturated with death. The jar she broke represented a year's wages—tens of thousands in today's value. Impact is not born from what we say publicly but from what we are willing to break privately in love.

February is the month where God will say, "I am touching what you have kept sealed." This is not to shame you but to free you, because some things cannot be released through discussion. They can only be released through breaking.

She broke what was valuable not because she was reckless, but because she recognized something vital: Jesus was not an option at the table. He was the only one worthy at the table.

Her worship preached what sermons often cannot:

• Jesus is King before the world crowns Him.

• Jesus is worthy before anyone agrees.

• Jesus is Lord even when it costs us.

Costly worship always provokes exposure. As soon as the fragrance filled the room, indignation rose. (Photo via Unsplash)

"Some of those at the table were indignant. 'Why waste such expensive perfume?' they asked. 'It could have been sold for a year's wages and the money given to the poor!' So they scolded her harshly." (Mark 14:4–5 NLT)

John's Gospel pulls back the curtain and reveals the heart behind the complaint: "He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief" (John 12:6 NIV). Greed dressed itself as righteousness. Concern for the poor became a mask for personal gain. Proximity to Jesus existed without surrender to Jesus. The fragrance threatened hidden calculations, and resentment surfaced.

Whenever pure worship breaks forth, it disturbs two spirits: the spirit that plots and the spirit that calculates. Religious language rises to criticize devotion. Stewardship vocabulary is used to restrain surrender. In the month of February, the Lord is confronting discipleship that wants the benefits of Jesus without the breaking of that which belongs to Jesus. And when worship becomes costly, Judas' spirits start talking.

Then Jesus intervened: "Leave her alone. Why criticize her for doing such a good thing to Me? You will always have the poor among you, and you can help them whenever you want to. But you will not always have Me." (Mark 14:6–7 NLT).

Jesus not only defended her gift, He defended her. He interrupted the accusation with authority. What they called waste, He called beautiful. He exposed a religious spirit that used charity as a cover to criticize love.

Timing matters. Charity is continual, but this moment of honor was irreplaceable. God does not forget labor done in love.

Heaven Reverses the Shame Assigned at the Table

Finally, Jesus released a decree that I believe defines February and the coming months.

"Wherever the good news is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will be told in remembrance of her." (Mark 14:9 NRSV)

A hidden moment became a global memorial. A private act carried a worldwide echo. Heaven reversed the shame assigned by the table and established eternal honor.

This is God's promise to us in the month of February:

• Private worship will become public memory.

• Local obedience will produce global impact.

• Hidden devotion will be remembered across nations.

Some have worshiped when no one applauded. Some poured oil while others calculated. Some remained loyal while others negotiated. The Lord says, "I have seen it. I have recorded it. I will remember it."

Global Impact: The Jar-Breakers Are Arising

The Lord says, "My child, you are entering a month of dividing and separation. This is not a dividing to bring division, but to identify true worshipers. I am identifying and elevating those who truly love Me—those whose hearts are burning for Me and who are willing to do what it takes; those who are coming into My presence and breaking their jars, pouring them out over My head, anointing Me King over their hearts. "This is a month where My Bride is rising and crying out: 'Place me like a seal over Your heart, like a seal on Your arm' (Song of Songs 8:6).

"They are saying, 'I am breaking my seal so that Your love can seal me. I am pouring out everything within me to receive everything You have for me.' They are not measuring; they are pouring all they have. They are demonstrating costly love, and they are the ones whom I am seeking out.

"Watch out for other voices who call this love a waste, who condemn and accuse true love. They also are seated at My tables, yet they do not know Me. They prefer to perform religious duties that make them look good. They will be exposed, for I am rejecting them and seeking out true lovers. I am done with those who have a form of godliness, yet they don't truly love Me.

"My heart is drawn to those who enter and break their jars, pouring out their love before Me. Therefore, My voice will rise to defend and elevate true love. Like I defended this woman and said, 'Leave her alone; she has done a good thing for Me,' I will defend you. As I elevated her and her act became a global memorial to nations and generations, I will elevate you.

"Watch. Your descendants will call you blessed. Watch for the words I will release over you this month, for they will carry enormous impact. The least expected will be raised to a global scale to impact nations and generations, for I am restoring My glory to your life.

"I say to you, My Bride, My love is burning for you, and it will define you: 'Turn your eyes away, for they overpower Me' (Song of Songs 6:5 NLT), and watch Me impact your life in the most glorious way."
