Provision for Every Dream Imaginable
Many years ago, I was stressed about money. I felt so trapped in lack that I couldn't really comprehend this idea of abundance; I just always felt like I wouldn't have enough. I was praying, asking God for solutions, and He gave me a picture. In this picture, I saw a coin in my hand. I knew this coin was indicative of supernatural provision. This one coin had the power to fund an entire dream or solve poverty in an entire nation or heal generational wounds. I knew this heavenly coin represented supernatural resources—everything I could ever need to provide for a God-sized dream.
As I held this coin in my hand, I thought to myself, "Wow, I need to be so careful with how I spend this!" and I thought about how I needed to perfectly steward this heavenly coin. I looked down at my hand again, and I had three coins. I was floored—I couldn't believe I had this much heavenly resource available to me!
The next thing I knew, coins were falling out of my hands. I looked down at my feet and there were coins everywhere. I was ankle deep in coins. I looked around me and there were rolling hills of endless coins as far as the eye could see. This was way more provision than I could ever use in a thousand lifetimes. And I couldn't fully comprehend what I saw.
The Lord spoke to me and said, "I have provision and resources for every dream imaginable already available and waiting. This provision is here. It's accessible to My people. All you need to do is ask."
Ask and It Will Be Given to You
Matthew 7:7–11 says, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
"Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him!"
How would our lives change if we were to actually believe that heavenly resources and provision are available to us, that God is a good Father who wants to provide for us, and that the God who owns "the cattle on a thousand hills" (Psalm 50:10) wants to partner with us? (Photo via Pexels)
What would happen if we were bold enough to ask Him for what we need to step into these wild God dreams?
Give Him Your "Yes"
As someone who grew up without always having enough food to eat, it's been personally challenging for me to believe that I can actually experience heavenly provision for my life and my dreams. I didn't go to acting school for ten years because I had so much fear around finances, in spite of the fact that God spoke to me about acting over and over and over again. God brought me back to acting school in 2020, when I was finally brave enough to give Him my "yes," even though I still felt terrified. And it's one of the best decisions I've ever made.
What is the "yes" that you're scared to give God because you don't have all the answers? What is the risk that you've been avoiding because you don't know how God will provide? What is the "bold ask" that you need to make? I'm not telling you to be foolish, but I am telling you that trust isn't trust if we have all the answers. It's only called trust when we don't have all the answers and we still give Him our "yes."
Whatever you're facing today, be bold enough to give Him your "yes." Be bold enough to ask Him for the resources you need for your God dream. Be bold enough to trust. God dreams require God solutions, and the heavenly resources you need are ready and waiting. Just ask.
