I was just with Lou Engle in Connecticut where he told this story about a young Christian prayer warrior who dreamed of the Church in a civil war at the Battle of Dirksen.

God often gives prophetic riddles to those whom He gives dreams to so they will search out the hidden things of God and fulfill HIS KINGDOM mandates as a result.

There are many clues in the research of this Word from the Lord in the form of a dream -- leading to prayer to break the filibusters now taking place in the Senate in order to elect many judges that the President of the United States has chosen.

Lou Engle is perhaps the most passionate, if not the most influential, advocate in the United States "Battle for Life" . . . and the Civil Rights  War to free the unborn in the United States.

His many youth, involved in 24/7 prayer, are often found standing silently on the courthouse steps of the Supreme Court with red tape over their mouths and the word LIFE written on the tape.

You may have seen this on national news broadcasts.

Someone from our own fellowship here in Albany, Oregon, was pictured on FOX NEWS wearing "LIFE TAPE" over her mouth.

Even a woman from the National Organization for Women paid these kids a compliment by telling them that their strategy of just standing silently on the Supreme Court's steps with tape over their mouths was a "brilliant strategy."

"The Battle for Dirksen"

"If the trumpet blows an indistinct sound, will the people know what to do?"

The critical times that we are now living in compel us to mobilize the masses and to strike into the most strategic places for kingdom advancement. We believe that this e-mail is a very crucial message for the Body of Christ to throw massive intercession towards decisively winning the "Battle for Dirksen."

Recently, one of our young prayer activists had a dream. The essence of the dream was that the Church was fighting in the Civil War and there was one battle that we needed to focus our attention towards, and the battle was called "The Battle for Dirksen."

We immediately knew that this was a significant dream. For only a few months earlier, we gathered a thousand people together to pray and worship in the Dirksen building in Washington, D.C. -- the very place that the Senate Judiciary Committee meets to vote on judges.

"He Broke the Longest-Running Filibuster in History"

Because of the significance of the judicial committee, we knew that this was a critical prayer target that the Lord was revealing to us. But even more astonishing was that in our research, we discovered that Senator Dirksen, whom the Senate Dirksen building is named after, was the key senator who pushed through the Civil Rights Bill of 1964 with amazing ability, cunning skill, and moral persuasion by breaking the longest-running filibuster in history. An explosion of faith went off in our hearts! We knew that God was saying that, "You are in another battle, similar to the battle that Senator Dirksen fought. You must break the filibuster in prayer."

Amazingly, the Lord confirmed His word to us when a pastor's wife in Tennessee, who knew absolutely nothing about our activist's dream and newfound assignment, told us a dream that she had. In the dream, a group of people was in a place known as Deacon's Ridge. These people were completely uninterested and bored with their surroundings. As they were sitting there, the pastor's wife came to where they were and said something like, "You're not supposed to be sitting in Deacon's Ridge. The battle is at Dirksen's Court!" As the group moved towards Dirksen's Court, the zeal of the Lord came upon the group.

God was trying to tell us something! To add weight, it was significant that the dream was received in Tennessee, the state whose U.S. Senator, Bill Frist, is leading the charge to break the impasse created by the filibuster and confirm President Bush's judicial nominees. We must pray for the Senators who are championing this cause.

This battle to break the filibuster is important not just for the righteous judicial nominees that President Bush is trying to install at the appellate court level, but it is strategically vital for the impending showdown over the future vacant seats of the Supreme Court. Let me explain.

Shifting the Supreme Court of America

A young intercessor friend of mine recently had a dream where Sandra Cano, the Doe of Doe v. Bolton, the 1973 companion case of Roe v. Wade, came to her and our House of Prayer and pleaded, "Would you stand with me in prayer and fasting for the day when my case comes before the Supreme Court?" At that time, no one was thinking, let alone praying, for Sandra Cano's case because Norma McCorvey, the Roe of Roe v. Wade, had her case before the Supreme Court at the time the young woman had the dream and much of the Church had been mobilized to pray for McCorvey and her case.

Sandra Cano's case is expected to come up before the Supreme Court in a year and a half to two years time. Thus, if the filibuster is broken now, it gives George W. Bush the time and ability to shift the unrighteous composition of the current Supreme Court and set it up for the day when Sandra Cano's case appears before the Court and the law that legalized abortion could be reversed. Could it be that the Lord is setting up this battle to break the filibuster in order to shift the Supreme Court of America and end the scourge of abortion and sexual immorality that has polluted our land? I believe He is.

We are calling thousands to give themselves wholeheartedly to prayer and to fasting in this next week when the showdown to break the filibuster is to take place. We must win this battle to have righteous judges appointed in this nation and turn it back to God.


Unrelenting Prayer and Fasting for Reformation and Revival

Right now, my company of young intercessors and prophets are on a fast for 21 days and going day and night, 24 hours a day and seven days a week, in intercession and worship to pray for our government with the specific focus of breaking the filibuster.

We are in an intensive and sustained battle position against the forces that attempt to destroy the nation. We must hold this line and not just for the ending of the filibuster. God is calling the Church for a Daniel-type commitment to stand in unrelenting prayer and fasting for reformation and revival. I believe that God is releasing an entire generation of Daniels and Danielles who will contend against the demonic strongholds for deliverance and the in-break of heaven. Allow me to tell you one of their stories:

For the past two years leading up to the 2004 election, one of my spiritual sons was led by the Lord to go on a Daniel-type fast, eating no meats and no sweets, to see abortion ended in America and righteous leaders put into office. After the election in 2004 of George W. Bush, who is clearly a pro-life President, the young man asked the Lord for permission to end the fast. On the second day after the election, the young man awoke and felt released to pray, "Lord, unless you give me a sign that I am to continue my Daniel fast, I will end this fast at midnight tonight."

Throughout the day, the young man repeated his heart to the Lord. Around 10pm, he went to the library of his secular college to meet a friend to study. As he walked into one of the study rooms at the library, he noticed a young man that he did not recognize sitting next to his friend that he was planning to study with. My friend introduced himself to the stranger. The young man replied, "Hello. My name is Daniel Fast." If God gives you that kind of confirmation, you know He means business. He intends to end abortion.

Brothers and sisters, we strongly feel that this battle to break the filibuster is critical to the turning of our nation back to God. Would you join with me in prayer and in fasting to see this thing crushed and destroyed?
