GOD'S REDEMPTIVE PURPOSE FOR THE "FIRST NATIONS" PEOPLE

Richard Twiss
Oct 10, 1999

PLEASE READ THIS NOTE FIRST !!!

Note from Steve Shultz, Publisher, THE ELIJAH LIST

One of the most anointed Native American leaders --anointed for RECONCILIATION is Richard Twiss. God, over the years has so profoundly confirmed to me the calling that is on Richard's life to bring reconciliation between America's Indigenous People, (First Nations People); and the First Nations Peoples of the world with the rest of the Body of Christ!!! What a calling on this man's life!! Just tonight, only a few hours ago, I published the word by Catherine Brown called, "A WORD FOR THE SIOUX NATION --WITH EACH BLOW THE LORD AGONIZED IN ABSOLUTE GRIEF AND IDENTIFICATION!" (I will attach that word on the end of this message)

As it turned out, Richard Twiss, was at that very time, preparing to send out this announcement about reconciliation between the Indigenous People and the Church. I haven't personally heard from Richard for many months! I believe the Lord is specifically speaking at this time about our relationship (the Body of Christ) with the native peoples of all our lands. Please remember that the Word is clear that the "FIRST SHALL BE LAST AND THE LAST SHALL BE FIRST." If this doesn't describe the Native American, and all Indigenous people, I don't know who it would apply to, especially when God's redemptive purposes are applied to them--at this time. Please prayerfully consider your participation in the following events!

Greetings Steve,

Blessings my friend. Trust you're settling into your new home and situation. Here is an initial announcement about some very important gatherings for next year. Will you please pray about circulating this to the Elijah List? Funny as I was sending this out I received the word from you from Catherine Brown. Yes, Lord! In any case Steve, thanks and blessings in Jesus' name. --

GOD'S REDEMPTIVE PURPOSE FOR THE "FIRST NATIONS" PEOPLE-- The Body of Christ Coming Together with the Indigenous People -- A Word and events planned----- by Richard Twiss

This is the first announcement of a series of dynamic gatherings planned for the year 2000 focusing on the Father's heart for First Nations people. These celebrations are intended to be a time for the whole Body of Christ to come together as worshippers of God to see and hear what the Lord is doing. This is a prophetic time in Church history regarding the fulfillment of God's redemptive purpose for Indigenous people.

National ministry leaders will present cutting edge perspectives to equip the Church for a new era of true Biblical partnership with First Nations believers. Worship will be a key component of each gathering featuring anointed Native worship leaders, dancers, and musicians. Key First Nations leaders from across North America will be speaking at every event.

All Native Christians, pastors, and ministry leaders are invited to come and share in these special events. First Nations ministries are strongly encouraged to bring organizational information, promotional materials, and products to sell and display as a way to become introduced to the greater Body of Christ.

For registration information contact Richard Twiss, National Coordinator. On November 1 there will be a fully operational webpage containing all the details for the events.

Many Nations - One Voice Celebrations 2000 Fresh Vision for the Next Millennium of Native Ministry

In December of 1998, twenty-two national Native leaders met in Titusville, Florida, to pray and dialogue about what they felt the Lord was saying to them about the future of ministry among First Nations people. Out of that time came the vision for the Many Nations - One Voice Celebrations 2000.

Purpose:

1. To affirm the fresh move of God among First Nations believers and to introduce Native leaders, ministries and people to the greater Body of Christ. After centuries of neglect and forgottenness, the Church is beginning to acknowledge, understand and embrace the unique and essential gifts and contributions of First Nations believers through a release of God's grace and Spirit.

2. To demonstrate a Christ-honoring spirit and model of cooperation and partnership between Native and non-Native leadership. The conferences will be primarily organized, envisioned, and led by First Nations people.

Vision:

1. To host a series of five national (Three in the United States and two in Canada), as well as several regional ministry conferences centered on the First Nations people in the year 2000, specifically focusing on their contribution to the purposes of God among the nations.

2. To encourage and facilitate the development of legitimate partnerships between First Nations believers and others in the Body of Christ for the purposes of:

A. Exploring new cross-cultural evangelism and discipleship strategies, and the formation of multi-cultural teaching/ministry teams. B. Promoting unity and biblical reconciliation in the Church that honors Christ. C. Taking advantage the global fascination with First Nations cultures for world mission. D. Recognizing, affirming, and embracing First Nations believers as essential partners in the mission of the Church for the next millennium E. Promoting shared resources by networking and building relationships.
